Last thought for the night: What's funny is the Chairman, per our culture should have been happy she was seeing KS - he's been vetted, is trusted, is caring, etc. The Chairman KNOWS KS, and should be thinking, 'she could do a lot worse'. But that's them and not us.

I know, and I'm thinking, geez now I have THRC to look forward to this weekend (sarcasm). This is the problem when they start the dailys and weekenders at the same time...they are too much in sync with the Kdrama pattern of highs/lows.

Do they taste like Green Onions, Sher? I think I've heard of a leek soup? I thought leeks were potatoes ;-)

CR has to support her. I don't think MR is strong enough to go against her mom without a alot of pain. KS/MR have to do something to get CR on their side. They can do without the Chairman, but they need her Mom at least. JH and SJ don't matter.

This ep was a hell of a way to end the week. :-(

Yeah, KS let me down. when he cancelled their date and chased after MIL, I felt, "what are you, a teenager?"I can see how SS, as an outsider may feel that way, but he doesn't know enough about MR/KS/JD to say anything. He should have just told him to be careful so no one gets hurt, and to be respectful of her family (which we know he will be). And MR seemed to waver after the MIL brow-beat her. Thank goodness JD perked her up (at least tried to).

I'm afraid he's going to say something like, "first your daughter tries to worm her way into my family, and now you are!" insinuating, that he and JD are some kind of gold-diggers.

I don't think I like 2 episodes in one day. Hopefully this is the last of that.
Oddly what sticks out in my mind is how HUGE green onions are in Korea! I mean, OMG, nothing like what we have in So. Cal.

It was interesting to see HR give MR some good advice about KS's dad. And now I'm thinking...it might not be HR who blabs to JanDi about her lineage. It will be SunJu, if she comes back. It may be a matter of overhearing, but I'm starting to think that way.

It is sad to see so many of the adults be so dubious over KS/MR due to class differences. I wonder if this situation is that unrealistic in SK life?
oh well. in 95:
-SooJi pointing her finger at JD's forehead. THAT really pissed me off. I wanted JD to just swipe it away when she kept doing that (I know she couldn't).
-YJ daydreaming of Little Dong. This is making me uneasy.
- I wish JD had stormed into JP's room and said "HEY JUNPO, GET YOUR ASS OUT OF BED AND COME TO SCHOOL NOW!"
- The kid who plays JP is a really good actor.

in 96:
-SD talking facts to MIL. We know his intentions stink, but right now, he's on the mark concerning SK's in-laws.
- I agree with the rest of you: SS was unnecessarily cruel in talking to KS. Good for KS in trusting his heart
- I wonder if the actress playing Aunty Ding looked at the script and said, "Really? I have to be the one to blab THIS secret too????"

Looks like next week will be the uncomfortable part , which once resolved, we get SunJu to screw things up again? I am thinking more than ever, she needs to come back in order for the MIL to see how bad a person she was, so she can apologize to KS and let him go to be with his new family. I don't know of any other internal mechanism that will force her to kick him out of her house. SunJu is too obvious of an external force to make it happen.

95 was fun. 96 was inevitable. 97 probably gets worse when her family finds out.

Hair was all mussed up too.....this is the aftermath of whatever happened.

I think you're all correct in one way or another, this is just what keeps bouncing around in my head. It's hard for me to get excited about this series now (unless they do something amazing) because I just can't undo the last 8 episodes. Yes, DW is a dummy and non-supportive brother, but I do think in that one instance he did try to help YD. YM is a girl who is too wealthy for her own good and needs to be exposed to real life outside of college and her hobby-job. TK, is TK, our hero who's been a punching-bag for his family and YD, which I guess changes now for the better? And I completely agree with Fullybaked about YD. She is a shell of the character as initially written.

Other than that, forgive me for not wanting to engage in a spirited debate because they've made me not care. And with the next series coming up being written by the YLAG writer, I'm not that optimistic for the next half of the year.
