Yup, it was the look she gave him when he talked about the gift. Had they cut away or had her change her expression, I would have thought nothing of it. We'll see....

Here's what hit me:
JH tells her that he's going to crush up TK and present it to her. Her expression is one of fear and shock. She wants TK, not his remains....YD is her enemy - not HIM. It occurs to me that she will be put in a position to stop his plans to harm TK & the firm and she will try to do so out of desire for TK and loyalty to the firm. But, factor in this is that the Chairman was warned to not trust her...so will he believe her when she tries to stop JH? This would explain why they had the Chairman get that warning & not TK or YD.

I dunno, this just flashed before my eyes, the minute JH talked about his gift for her. I haven't guessed anything right about this series since the start, so what do I know? The writer keeps throwing me curveballs.

They are a really interesting study. You can't help but feel sorry for them, while detesting they way they act in that house.

Wow.
For me, that was a pretty intense episode, all around.

Highlights -
-Their sharing a bed, obviously. I wish that had been the final scene.
-YD & SooJung. As stated below, add one to team YD. I think she will be the one to convince her to go the donation route. Not sure how Uncle fits in yet.
-After BongMin tells off Granny and storms out (30 min mark) Granny says HA to her back. I don't know why, but I found that incredibly funny and completely out of character for her.

Lowlight - Any scene JH is in. What a jerk. I friggin hate that guy.

Biggest Surprise - Hee has another job already? And no pharmacist today?

Most Anticipated Moment - When TK/YD come to her house and see YM there and they all realize what's going on and that SK is actually YM's niece-in-law.

What stunned me the most was that I think they are laying the foundation for the SeJin redemption arc, given JH's promise of a "gift" to her. Is it really that obvious as to what is going to happen?????

Wow.

I finished my housework.
I ate my lunch.
I read BT's recap.
I turned off my cellphone.
And settled in to watch the subbed version on Kocowa.
The minute TK saw JH's face my BP shot up by 20 points! OH NO
But his takedown of that clown was beautiful.
I need a breather before resuming.
INTENSE!!!!!

(I know that sounds like some kind of drunken Haiku, but I'm just trying to say BRACE YOURSELF for the first act of Ep 24.)

It's weird to see the pictures of her from her tutoring class advertisements....she looks like a totally different person from how much weight she's lost in her face alone.

I hope not. They seem to make a nice couple.

Well the whole theory about the Saturday Eps being filler is pretty much dead and buried now. Thank goodness!
Favorite Moments:
-The first 6 minutes. Everything was perfect. And when she held his hand on the drive home and interlaced her fingers with his, that was all I needed. Thank you writer and director.
-The background music in those first 6 minutes. This show has some really lovely music at times (and some that is kind of silly). The beginning music (a continuation of what we heard at the end of Ep 22 when he opened the sunroof of the SUV) and then transition to the familiar theme that is used for tender moments for them while driving home. It was really great. If you have the time, watch Ep 10 and listen to the haunting music in the scene where TK & InOk drive home from the 'family meeting' and talk to each other. At times, they really nail the background music.
-Dr's Cha & Gong with the low-five at the clinic entrance
-Dr. Cha to the rescue. But I wasn't crazy about his attitude when he went back for his wallet. Where are they going with the Pharmacist? Please don't use her as a plot device to bring that couple closer.

Least Favorite :
-JH & SJ meeting (again). Need I say more?

BTW, the worst thing about this series is the 5-day wait. GRRRRRR

Youtube clips looked interesting, I'm hoping the one of Hee is not what I think it is.

I just hope they don't insist on changing things to appease whatever the domestic sensibility is. But it's out of our hands.

My alternative was to throw the 'has to be blood related' bunch a bone at the end while still giving us the story we want up to the last minute of the series and leaving everyone to figure out the ending on their own. Plus, it would enforce the other theme of the series for me: "Don't lie to your Moms and think you can get away with it".

OTOH, TK & YD could have the DNA test results altered by Jang Young-Sik to look like TK is the real dad. (this is an inside joke for those of us who sat thru 3 Bold SIblings - LOL).

I agree with you that the theme of this should continue to be 'unconventional families', but if the domestic audience wants it the other way around, their voices are louder than ours.

There is only one way they could do this without pissing off everybody (I think):

Timejump ahead to after Real's birth. Since Real's brith and throughout the 1st half of this episode TK/YD are pressured to get the baby DNA tested to quell the rumors about its parentage. They finally relent about mid-episode. While waiting for the results, TK/YD meet with their moms and try to explain what really happened and plead with them to accept the baby as they are truly a family now. Last scene: Results come, proving TK IS the bio father. While rest of family begrudgingly accepts, TK/YD and the moms stare at each other in shock, showing that all the lies were unnecessary.
END SERIES

I'm terrible at guessing women's ages. The side piece (I think her character name is Yoo-Jin?) is in her 30s then? There is no mention of her in the CAST section here.

Interesting angle. She was in the US for a long time with the punk, right? And presumably came back to SK with him?

For me, the only thing holding my interest is when she (the missing wife, whomever she is) comes back. If they do it right, it will save the series (for me).

Funny thing is, if the dad finds out that her family is blackballing him because his a gigolo, that might change things. We'll see. I really don't like how they've developed his father as a character, as he was the only one talking sense to KS.

I think it's a sure thing that InOk will lead the effort to unite them. And I am thinking that YD's guilt is two-fold: for lying to them all this time, but moreso, that she is taking InOk's beloved 'grandchild-to-be' away from her. That will be a tough leap for them to over come.

But the wildcard here (and I do mean WILD) will be BongMin's reaction. BongMin knows YD has already lied to her before and doesn't seem to trust her all the time now. Her response to the split and truth may be pretty harsh, not only to YD but TK too, who she has really come to love. InOk will have to placate her too I guess?

I meant to mention this earlier when discussing Ep 22: I was really disappointed they lied about the marriage registration to their moms. There was no need for this: InOk told them they could hold off on it , if they moved to the annex. Just one more lie to be reconciled later on. They keep digging themselves a deeper hole.
