But you fail to see that's only your personal perception of it that you are projecting on others, hence your non sequitur assumption 'if you like this yo must hate that'. Also you are establishing a false premise in portraying those two characters as opposites but, even if they were, liking something does not automatically entail hating the opposite. Liking black does not mean hating white, All that unnecessary polarisation does is limiting your own choices and making both characters poorer.

You forget that 'small' detail of the reason why she slaps him in the first place. It's because he's grabbed her arm forcefully and won't let her go.

She didn't select YBL, her grandmother imposed the marriage on her and she just pretended to go along with it because she was about to expose him as an impostor.

I've already enjoyed 30 eps and I'll be binge watching the grand 31-36 tomorrow, then I can start re-watching the whole series. Neh-neh, neh-neh-neh. 😂

She's slapped him twice in the whole of 30 eps. She's always made a point of soft slapping him without hurting him, he didn't even blink when she did and on the latest occasion he even offered his cheek with a naughty smile. She couldn't resist his charm and lowered her hand without slapping him. Then he kissed her. It was very sweet.

She told him about the fake book, they planned it together. She gave the fake book to him and he gave it to the old Wei lady.
LJL: Who he was after he recovered his memory kept from her. His real reason to infiltrate the Rong mansion kept from her. Using her to trap Madame Yang and Yu Wan, kept from her. Both of them have been playing games with each other, they just have different personalities. He's extrovert, she's reserved. To me that's a main appeal of the series.

Someone: "I like croissants". Someone else: "So you must hate cinnamon rolls". That's your logics.

LJL must have contacted RSB by other means. He already knew steward Cheng would do his best to block any contact between him and RSB; Cheng had already tried to throw away the wild tea leaves LJL picked for RSB, didn't tell her he was waiting outside and got the grandmother to stop her running after him. Why would Jun Dai give an important letter to just any servant at the Rong house, knowing it would fall in Cheng's hands? I don't buy it.

No, they didn't. Through the whole series and up to when he had to leave for the capital he's been consistently the cunning, shameless, daring, scheming, bragging LJL of ep 1. Why we had that glimpse of him in mid ep 30..., we'll have to wait to find out tomorrow.

If you watched ep 29, it's not just his heart that she accepted. For her to take that step she must have been sure LJL was the one.

That's a terrible ending. LJL and RSB are destined for each other, neither of them will accept anybody else.

He is impossibly good looking, I look at him just for the pleasure of contemplating beauty. The combination of this with being one of the best actors in China is a reason for me to watch every single drama he's in.

LJL's personality hasn't changed at all. Up to when he had to leave for the capital he was still the extrovert, shameless, daring, scheming guy he was on ep 1, including turning up with his stuff at RSB's front door, announcing to all and sundry he was moving in with her and warning her he was going to sue her because she had 'sullied his purity'😂 . In ep 30 there is a glimpse of him in a different state (spoiler) that we don't know what it is about, we'll have to wait and see.

I don't think standing her up at the altar was the big issue with her, but the fact that he used her to catch Madame Yang and Yu Wan. She did open up to him when she let him in her plan to trap the governor with a fake book, that was a massive leap of trust she took there. We still don't know why she's not showing any interest in LJL after he's been gone for a month, but I'm sure we'll find out in the next episodes.My wild guess is the emperor suspects LJL of being biased in favour of the Rong family in the Yang-Wei case, so RSB is purposely not trying to contact him to prove his equanimity.

LJL planned to infiltrate the Rong house under the guise of a poor man injured by bandits. He still didn't tell her who he was and what he was planning after he recovered his memory. He used her in his one-sided scheme to catch Madame Yang and Yu Wan. They were both together in their trap to catch the governor. I think '2 cunning scheming characters that use each other to their advantage through the story' perfectly describes this drama, and the fact that they have almost opposite personalities (he's extrovert/shameless, she's restrained/dignified) does not alter this. At this point it's clear to me they are both in love with each other.

I agree with you. There is a lot of hate on some of these comments for a strong, smart, independent, capable, caring and beautiful young lady. I wonder why.😏
