I reaaaaaally enjoyed this drama! The casting is very well done, the characters, including the antagonists are threedimensional written, the story does NOT LAG AT ALL (in 49 episodes!!!), people don't get dumbed down.. and the guys have excellent wigs (yeah for A'Suns wavy locks!). I also liked the portrayal of the Ashile tribe very much, often the nomadic tribes in dramas are not so well... developed if you know what I mean. The music is also very good. A lot of the child actors are really good, too. Even the tiniest one, Yuan, soooo cute! The manhua scenes take some time to get used to, but I read it had to be done this way because of corona, so fine. The costumes are fine but not remarkable, only A'Suns majestic white furs and armour stick out. Camerastuff and production is all good, nothing special but also nothing sticking out badly. Only really thing that bugged me were the kissing scenes, come on, if the lips don't meet it does not count >v<. All in all a very enjoyable drama with such an engaging story, great acting and no boring minute at all. 9.5 rating
also brownie points for the handling of Sher, this overgrown wolf puppy really grew on me towards the end.
They seem to release one free ep a day on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, so hopefully a new ep…
I mean I would have done the same if I was Iqiyi, they are scrambling for money as much as I heard- the annoying part watching the first ten eps and and then finding out the rest is VIP, gah. I suppose they make it free some time after the last episodes and the demand has lessend.
Oh man, reading your article down the list suddenly I realized I still have Young Blood for a looong time in my…
Hi again! I also highly recommend Young Blood, the most memorable thing about it is that they develop a really good team dynamic- fanfic tag would be "team as family". And all 6 team members get their own back story and actually interact with each other and don't just stick to their freshly coupled significant other- they act like real people with their coworkers/friends. And none of the female character is annoying, what rarity.
I just started this drama and I read some comments about being puting off because of the lack chemistry but what…
She drove there, after the camping trip you can see her driving away and getting a phone call. There is probably a parking space to see the view around there. Google says wild camping is kinda fine in china, though I think a location on a mount top, next to a cliff, signs warning of wild boars and a tent underneath a tree... Also him taking the hedgehog home, I dunno, i did not look hurt or underfed and he is certainly no wildlife rescue center ownner (and what a tiny cage).
He is the only actor I have never watched in this list... I guess I missed Go Go Squid hype. I'm not a real fan…
It has 2 seasons, but the first one can be easyly seen as a stand alone (and they changed the main actor for season 2, meh.), it is a script written for TV as much as I know. It has horror elemements, but I'd say horror in the way of Sherlock Holmes (think hounds of Baskerville) and not like Alien. You won't be afraid to go into a dark cellar afterwards, it is more conspiracy cloaked in mystery and superstition. Yeah and a lot of dead bodies, but the main character is police body divers, so thats to be expected. I see you wrote about Ultimate Note and Journey Across the night, I'd say it is a similar creep level as the first case in Journey or the snake night in the campin the Jungle of Tamutou from UN XD
Finally finished this one, oouuff. It's actually a soap in ancient costume- that explains petty villains, the weird skips inbetween storylines, the unimportant and general shallowness of everything. But also the reason I kinda watched it until the end- when I was a teen I watched cheap, cheap soap operas too, it can be a bit addicting. And I love Shunxi in ancient clothes.

Have a try at Tientsin Mystic with Li Xian, it plays in the 20ies, yes, but has hardly any republican era tropes- solid crime mystery drama that one, gorgeous production and very, very tight script and good acting.
I believe it is Charlie Zhou Shen, if you are not sure if it's a male or a female singer and it also kinda sounds…
Ah, thank you, now I have another great singer to google! edit: Lol and it is a woman (I think.. actually.. nobody listen to me, just google these both artist XD)
Does anyone by any chance know the title and singer of the ending song?
I believe it is Charlie Zhou Shen, if you are not sure if it's a male or a female singer and it also kinda sounds like a choir boy and you get the urge to cry a bit because the voice is so pretty.. it's always Zhou Shen.
Is it just me that think it would be weird to have other actor as Zhang Qiling when in Tomb of the Sea, it's Xiao…
Oh well, after sometime you may click on the overall Graverobbers Diary tag and it does not make much difference, it's always Wu Xie and Xiaoge, described with slightly different hairstyles. Mostly my brain says Joseph and Yuliang too, since thats my favourite season, but if an author tells which actors they had in mind... then it gets funny. Especially weird if there are some flashback chapters. If one has not seen Tomb of the Sea and Reunion the spoilers are evvvvil in fanfic, but I when I started in this fandom after UN aired, there were quite few english stories, so I gobbled up all of them :) and spoilered myself like NEVER before. I recommend "A life in exchange" from strangeangel21 for some awesome PingXie Piningon archive of our own, it's one of my absolute favourites.

I'd love it to be Yuliang though, too. And at first I found the ever changing cast choices annoying.. but in this fandom you just get used to it. It gets kinda funny when you read the novels or fanfiction and the faces change up in your head..
This drama does not make much sense, even if you see the episodes with the better translated subs.. it's like half of the scenes are missing. Only watch if you like one of the actors, I'd say this is a wasteo f time, even at double speed.
Well the first case is presented as paranormal, but common sense gets to the characters. The later cases have some jumpy scared characters, but it's mostly crime investigating storylines. I'd say as scary as BBC Sherlock? The actual scary part is more of in a psychological and social criticism area, as in how society produces victim-perpetrator-victim spirals, because of lack in compassion for people in difficult situaions and a lack of mental healthcare.
Hmm, I want to watch the last 12 eps, but since they are not subbed.. I think I'll try without. I just learned that doing so will really train your concentration and language learning brain parts and if thats not a challenge while also looking at handsome actors, than I don't know. Will report if it worked :) Edit: Hmm, you can understand what is happening, but hardly the explanations of peoples motives... so... if you want to see Yuliangs face for 12 more episodes, go for it, but I'll look out for an episode guide now.

By the way this is the third drama I've seen with Ceasar Wu and everytime he's a blushing virgin XD

Maybe they skipped him spitting as much blood as Sifeng because A) blood capsules taste quite nasty and B) after L&R it was nothing more than a meme ><
