The plot line is really good and lin yi is just perfect for the role . But it's also a novel.. and novels are always better. My struggle with every cdrama is this , if it's good then great I'll watch but if they it's just okay compared to the novel, then i would prefer to read the novel . I would some insights you people, should i watch the drama ?( From people who have read the novel and watching the drama)

Rewatching who rules the world . Feels like a safe place . No heart breaks and only two strong people that completely trust the other . And their healthy relationship âĽď¸
I just completed the drama yesterday and the ending was so good . Loved the last two eps especially. I like to see cang Xuan and xiaoyao on one team , when it's them against everyone else . I was going to wait for s2 patiently without reading the novel. But then i happened to see a small clip from s2 where cang Xuan said " I just like you , is it really that wrong" my heart goes for him but on the other hand xiaoyao looks completely broken . She was holding a knife against her dear gege . I wonder how much did he fck up to end in that situation. And she said " you killed jing , I will kill you" ... Now i realise how i chose the wrong ship and I'm drowning. Makes me think it would have better to drown with Xiang liu's ship . (I read the epilogue from the novel , and that two Paras broke my heart so much ) but I'm still choosing to drown with cang Xuan.
I thought worst possible ending would be to see him stand alone as a king when those he loved were protected and lived happily leaving him alone . But the title had to hit me harder when I realised he lost her forever in a way that's more sad . Only i would be crying this bad for cang Xuan , when some call him a villain.
So I'm dropping the here , not watching s2 for my own mental health. That way cang Xuan is still the way I know him to be . The gege who protected her happiness while his heart was in so much pain.
