Yes, I read the novel a few months ago and I loved it. I don’t want to go into details about it, but read it…
i am in ch 32, didnt think much about someone being involved with their family's downfall until .. Xu Yi?? i like the guy, capable and resposible. BUt to be so successful after his former company's downfall .... now im suspicious. definitely interesting for now
i have been doing nothing but reload that page for ep 10. i need distractions, lemme go read my novel. but i take my distractions too serious so i guess i will watch the ep late
People noticing them is making me scared but at the same time what can they do? There is nothing wrong going on here. They are two consenting adults . My babies you can be bold, i will fight everyone who talks non sense.
i would be better for my mental health to wait for more eps before i watch. But im gonna put myself through these days. Im gonna do that to my poor heart. When are the present days coming , which eps
Whenever someone notices the way they look at each other with those eyes im like noooo. leave them be. Even we havent seen much of these, dont bother them and question them. Let my babies be
Let me forever stay in the moment where she finishes her exam and ran towards him. Atleast for a few minutes. Cause it feels like a safe zone i can stay with for a while. My babies all i can do is wish nothing bad happens knowing it can only end in one way.
Can I ask what novel it was that changed your world view? aha
I think it was called “Brother”. Most traumatising thing i ever read. Its a BL. I mean its already forbidden love. I just jumped into it thinking well they would step siblings or something. But man they are very much related, not even cousins. And one of them was a lil mentally challenged. He cant survive by himself.
It’s traumatising to even think about it. I simply thought, not my life who am i to judge their life decisions. But still traumatic . Wish i could erase my memory of it. But seriously who even writes such stories, what goes through their head.
Ok honest talks Is the step siblings thing weird? Yes. But i have been long here to be bothered by it. Atleast with the number chinese novels i have read and enjoyed. One in particular which just permanently changed my world views. But we are not here to talk abt that one. These days i choose based on the following: Are they blood related , did they grow up seeing each other as siblings. If no, then i dont see a fcking problem.
One thing that could be problematic here is that she is dependent on Chen Yi. Financially and emotionally. It should bother you cause a 18 year old doesnt have to take care of the needs of 16 year old. That is a child himself . And we are not living their life. So who are we to judge when they are doing their absolute best. Im even proud of these two for how well they grew up with their circumstances. Chen Yi especially. His police academy dreams lost, his pooling business money lost, even without these he is wanted in places just for his talent. But he wont leave that city, his home, his friends and family.
Chen Yi appreciation post: Chen yi the strongest pillar in not only Miao Jing's life but also to his friends. He's that reliable guy. If he takes on something you can relax because you know he will do it. Chen yi takes multiple jobs, whatever job he gets and earns him good money. But he is never greedy for more. He always stays within the legal boundary. But everytime he takes a major risk we see its not himself. When he went to that cruise, when he played pooling match and now when he gets close to Zhai for more money. To save her, to get her school fees, now for her city life expenses. I hate how much he takes on himself. But i hate it more that theres no other path for them. He thinks its fine to be tainted as long as she can be in light. How can it be fine? Is there really no other path for them
teasers for ep 9 and 10 seem to be the ice breaker for what's soon to come - especially for ep 10. I'm too sucked…
these were the happy days. ep 6 to 8. They were financially struggling but also peaceful but because they somehow managed it without major problems. let me exist here for a while
Even when he acts like an adult , even though he is legally one . Just how much can he carry. The heaviness of the world. Some may see Miao Jing as a burden but i dont think she's the heavy burden he's carrying . She's his salvation . His hope, light and dreams of future. As long as she is fine, he will be.
Man, I can’t stop feeling weird about it. I mean, when they were kids, he was barely around and spent most of…
We are seeing right in front of our eyes. Like this is as normal as it can be in their situation. They are just trying their best with what they have. Chen Yi is just 2 years older than her. He is raising her, yes. But that boy is still a kid himself. And its not like he's grooming her in anyway. At this point they are just family with lots of affection for one another . And girl seems to be attracted to him , she is still figuring it out . And she just thought of this recently after becoming 18 . She is grown up enough to have her own thoughts. And him, he always cared about her, protected her. He likes her, its simply he likes her without any future plans. He will do everything to make her life better and thats all hes focusing on right now. And boy is not taking advantage of her.
