I think the pros and cons are subjective. Some people are really loving it so just give it a try. What do you have to lose? There's nothing really sad in it so there's that.
I'm on verge of dropping because of boredom. Ep 1 was great but now at ep 7 Park Mo Geon has had no character development. He's a handsome, one dimensional cardboard cutout. This is weird because he's the ML, right? Yet the secondary characters have been given better writing, they are better fleshed out and have more interesting personalities and parts. → The scenes with the 2 leads seem contrived and sadly boring at this point. It was ok at first but there has to be some interaction beyond his continuous chasing and staring at her and her rejecting him then coming back. There's so little actual conversation about anything. The only thing their relationship seems based on is that one night stand. → I don't know what the writer is trying for but this is a waste of Jang Ki Yong's talent.
I'm guessing that her skeletal appearance requires the male actor to work that much harder. She didn't used to…
it's a fact that her thighs are thinner than her knees. It is also a fact that this is not natural for her- she was heavy the year she acted in "Cage of Love". There she seemed slightly over-weight but looked good. Now she resembles a skeleton. Her appearance reminds me of seeing someone sick and dying. It's scary. I hope she gets help.
Honestly, the lead actress is just a no go for me. She's thin to the point of illness. She should not be on TV…
I'm guessing that her skeletal appearance requires the male actor to work that much harder. She didn't used to look anorexic. Zheng Shuang played Wu Cai Hong in "Cage of Love" and was actually heavy looking. It was weird and she got a lot of criticism for that. Now she's gone to the other extreme where her knees are bigger than her thighs. Tell me that is attractive.
I thought they dropped White Snake and stopped filming because of too many complaints. I tried to watch it after…
there was a plot twist around ep 8 that got on my nerves, it seemed like a cheap device. I still wasn't invested in the main characters at this point and just felt bored. The secondary characters were interesting but didn't have enough air time.
I didn't realize that was him in those other dramas. Those were great characters. I didn't like Legend of White Snake and dropped it. I may re-start and skip a few eps and see if it gets interesting. I liked the Destiny of White Snake a lot better.
I think they're starting to put them back up again, but there's only 10 episodes right now.
It would be nice to hope but this experience taught me not to start Chinese dramas unless they are completely subbed and even then, the site might pull them before you finish watching. Ugh. :(
I think that one credit is wrong - it's hard to believe he played Xuē kūn in The Ugly Queen - or else this guy got a totally new face, eyes, nose everything.
The Ugly Queen aired in 2018, would there be time for him to get a totally new face and heal for the other dramas airing that same year?
Anyone - is the actor playing Xue Kun (adopted grandson) really Zheng Louis? Because the pictures of actor Zheng Louis look nothing like the character Xue Kun at all. If it is the right actor, my gosh his face has completely changed. He went from male lead material to eunich material (see his work history).
currently watching. I'm on op 8 and it's just 12 eps. It's quirky, funny and actually the production quality is quite decent. The Queen is very ugly so far but she's really amazing. The King is a fatuous one. It's fun and satisfying to see how the Queen deals with situations. This is helping me get through a drama drought.
