I wouldn't watch it. This is the opposite of what k-dramas are, and it's why I don't watch American tv.

I found that I had to skip the first 8 minutes of Ep 1. In Ep 2 I did a lot of fast forwarding. The premise is good but so far I have no idea what it's about.

the scene with Moo Hyul was the very best. I rewatched that like 8 times.

one of my first Kdramas was Chuno. After that I was a kdrama addict. And T-drama, C-drama, Thai drama.

it's weird, but Nie Yuan looks better (half) bald then with the hairstyle in Hao Lan. The costumes, hair/wigs and lighting were better in Yanxi Palace.
I like both dramas though.

I'm glad I already watched the drama before seeing this or it would have ruined it for me. I started watching the drama not knowing most of what this article tells the viewer. I guess all visitors to MDL should avoid reading articles about dramas unless they've already watched them.
Some of us read the articles to decide IF we want to watch the drama.
But why watch it if someone has already told you most of the story before you see it?

the second leads are so cute together and their storyline is enjoyable.
This drama has alot of interesting characters in it.

This reminds me of The Fire Series 2: Talay Fai (2016) with Mik. Pretty good plot.

think I'll give it a try just to see these two actors together. They are matched well, she's warm and light, he has a more somber "feel".

I like Nie Yuan better with his half bald hairstyle in Story of Yanxi Palace.

I loved him in Queen Seondeok

Yun Lang seems the least selfish of the male characters. I love the actor who plays him - Kris Sun - if you haven't seen Ever Night watch it, he has a major role - plays a major almost deity who is quite arrogant and seemingly "perfect". A lot different than his character in this drama. And boy does he look amazing in that drama.

Dubbing. Sometimes it is just awful.
Arranged marriage to cousins. Ick. lol.
Gets wet then becomes very sick has to be carried.
But I love Chinese historical and Wuxia anyway, they are my favorite dramas.
