is it as good as the Korean version? That one was awesome!

PS! In Chinese dramas they make the villains really handsome! Especially the demons in some of the fantasy dramas.

the sad ending makes sense since both the prince and her teacher lie to her, betray her and ruin her life.

True! The best villains have depth and are never cardboard cutouts used as mere plot devices.

This drama is totally outside of the box. It's creative, fun, the main lead dude is really different. I am loving it. I almost never watch dramas that have high schoolers as the main leads but this is really entertaining. The characters have dimension, so far no lazy writing or stupid plot devices. Surprises abound.

I was going to watch this till I saw several negative comments about the ending.
I might have been fine with it but knowing in advance that the ending is bad or nonsensical?
Nope not gonna do it.

Chinese dramas have the best looking villains. They are often pretty interesting and conflicted people who while maybe treat the world as their toy - still are softies for the female lead. I like the bad guys best in many of the dramas.
And Shawn Dou was the best of the whole Princess Agents thing. He wasn't a bad guy, he was a man pushed too far.

GOT probably got it's basis from Chinese and Korean historical/mythology.

I finished it. The green snake was still my favorite throughout. :)

I wanted to like this, but it was a waste of talent. At first it was cute but it evolved into a confusing mess and kept going in circles and I got tired of it and dropped it.

if the male lead died, and hopefully horribly, and the Female lead met and paired with a good honest decent man who didn't lie to her and use her - that would be a good drama.
The male lead is a user. A selfish user.

exactly. He lied, deceived and used the Princess. He only cared about her as a possession, he didn't respect her or care about her feelings.

she was betrayed by the two men in her life she trusted. With tragic results.
These men selfishly used her feelings to an ends. I could watch a tragedy if the male lead didn't bring on the tragedy with his deception.

one of my favorite genres - because there are endless stories to build dramas upon.

The Journey is different from many dramas, has a vampire and other immortals, a true love theme.
Pet at Dali Temple is cute, enjoyable, doesn't have a big ensemble of characters, lots of chemistry in the leads, a nice light watch

yeh. It's the female lead. There was character development except for her. She didn't grow she regressed . And the male lead had so much character growth. And his acting! He eclipsed the female lead by a mile in acting.
Frankly the other actors were also better or was it how they were written?
Anyway the actor Kim Jung-hyun made me cry hour after hour! He made me care so much about Cheon Soo Ho.
And also I've been searching for updates on how the actor is doing. Apparently this drama took a toll on him too.
If the female lead had been better I might be able to plough through. The drama was incredibly sad.
