I'm watching, but I have a sense of dread with each episode! (I'm scared as to what happens next). So I'm watching then stopping. :( Eventually I'll finish.... the acting and writing is good.
I gave it a 10 too. This story was different from the norm, as were the characters. The male lead really couldn't express himself verbally, but was very sincere. The leads had really good chemistry. The OSTs were great, I've downloaded most of them!
Queen Seondeok was the first Korean drama I ever saw. Found it by accident on netflix I think. I was amazed, dazzled. In the US I seldom ever see many asian people in my community. This drama amazed me too, seeing the royalty, the soldiers on horseback with swords and arrows. The early part I loved so much. An epic journey that took you even into the desert. Great fight scenes. So much emotion. This drama hooked me on Korean dramas, then other Asian dramas.

the first time I ever saw actor Nam Goong Min was in "Chief Kim". His hair was tinted reddish. He looked amazing. The show was fun too. Will give this drama a watch for him. May want to see him as the evil villain in TGWSS too.

I just started that drama after seeing him in Wok of Love. I like "Just Between Lovers" better. Liking every episode of that drama. Boy he is talented.

yes she shut him down in a humiliating way. There are other ways to "shut someone down" without being cruel. That could have been a positive lesson in this drama, but wasn't employed.
Drama was going good till ep 15. Female lead is written as a cute and quirky person, well most everyone in the drama is quirky. I liked that. But I dislike love triangles. The writer failed in the key challenge here, of how a center of a love triangle should turn down the affections of an admirer when she doesn't return that person's feelings. The writer managed to take a quirky likable character and turn her into someone I don't like anymore. I love Poong but I'm disappointed in the turn the writing took because of this stupid stupid love triangle.
I agree about Ep 14. Near the end . I was enjoying the drama till this. I love the actors and the plot was pretty dynamic. But I don't know if I can get past this. Ugh. For me to watch a drama, I need to like the lead characters. The writer took this a bit too far. Not sure if I'm going to finish the drama. Shame cause it was gangbusters till this point.
I sent message to Amazon asking why only Episode 50 is available to watch, also if the whole series would ever be available. Here's their response via email today 6/24/2018: "Im sorry to hear that only Episode 50 of "Nothing Gold Can Stay" was available.
