A second season is unlikely. The two main male leads have already committed to or are working on other projects. Huang Xuan (who plays Muyun Sheng) already has new drama in 2018 - Entrepreneurial Age. Dou Shawn (who played Muru Han Jiang) already has 3 new dramas in 2018 - Ten Years Late, Tears in Heaven and From Survivor to Healer.
I agree but chances of a 2nd season aren't good. It almost never happens and when it does often the 2nd season…
Tribes and Empires is like a few other big Chinese Dramas - they seem to need a 2nd season but it never happens. If you look up the actors and actresses next projects, they're probably already filming something else and have other projects for at least the next year or two on their schedules. My money is against any 2nd season, regardless of what is needed.
I loved it. It's hilarious. Yes it has tropes. But it is entertaining and made me laugh out loud at times. 2/3 to end of Ep 1 when it got funny. This was a nice offset to some of the darker, more serious dramas I'm currently watching. Maybe it isn't for everyone but if you're thinking about trying it - once you get to end of first episode you'll know if you are going to like it.,
This show could have been so much fun if not for the women-child heroine and the lead romance. How is she a functioning…
I gave up and dropped it. I think the drama would be more watchable even if they just cut the female lead out and didn't even replace her. She/her character was that awful.
comedy, historical, time travel. Not to be taken seriously but to be enjoyed. Fun! Handsome actors, beautiful/cute actress. I became a fan of the pirates while watching. And it's true, you never know which turn the plot will take next, very creative. This is a nice break from of the serious and sad dramas.
Glad it helped you avoid it ;)I hate spoilers, too. They can ruin so many things. Although I do think that those…
I hate ALL spoilers. I hope that MDL will enact a policy that requires article writers to put the word SPOILER in the title of the article, so that other people who haven't watched the drama can AVOID your article and articles like them.

Spoilers = you watched it so we don't have to. A good review will tell enough about substance without giving away key elements. Perhaps writings like yours should be labeled "Cliff Notes" to save you from watching.
"Save Me" - most memorable and impactful. And enjoyed emergence of new young talent Woo Do Hwan who stole the show. https://kisskh.at/22599-save-me
"Stranger" also called "Secret Forest" very memorable and different , keeps you in suspense wondering who is really good or bad.... great veteran actors. Never boring. https://kisskh.at/21934-stranger
"The King's Woman" an epic Chinese historical whose lead male actor previously had always been a second lead or side character. Every scene he appeared in, his charisma was amazing. The two leads amazed and surprised me and the story and production was mesmerizing and grabbed your heart. https://kisskh.at/22292-the-kings-woman
who dresses Sung Joon in his dramas? (Especially Ms Perfect, whoever dressed him in that should be kicked out of dramaland). Seriously he actually is handsome but usually dressed so awfully that it is painful to watch. He seems to be type cast into dramas where he acts obnoxious too. Seems a waste of potential. Would love to see him in better dramas, maybe serious ones and dressed nicely.
this feels like the Chinese version of Kill Me Heal Me even down to the word. Seems like same script, same plot. Still it might be good but I dropped it. It seemed ok.
I'm up to ep 31 now. My favorite ep so far is Ep 26, it has a scene with Shu Feng that I've re-played several times now. Wow. It reminds me of how in Six Flying Dragons in ep 42 the scene with Moo Hul, where the actor just hit it with everything he had.
I saw one review like that too and was actually shocked tbh. So far this drama doesn't tell only one story but…
I'm up to ep 30 and pacing myself because Drama Fever is only putting so many episodes up at a time. If the whole series was up I'd probably marathon it. Just give it a try and see what YOU think.
