Update. Dropped it. Just can't stomach the first female lead character. I'm up to ep 16. I agree with review by absinthe_feane but I am still enjoying the drama. The second lead female and the false king are the most interesting, with real king coming in second, and first lead female is a big MEH. Still, I'm watching.

Would the ridiculous designer tracksuits qualify? Like Hyun bin's in Secret Garden. Was the hand made Dae Young in "Let's Eat" a nod to the one in Secret Garden? Then there's tracksuit overload in Rooftop Prince...Ji Hyun Woo's ridiculous Floral Print Tracksuit in Trot Lovers, Kim Kwang Soo, Emergency Couple, Jo Gook, City Hall..
If not easter eggs, then maybe the writer/directors are just flat out teasing the audience?

I think most of Zanilla's dramas are like that. On the positive side, at least she's not a weak female lead with a 5 year old voice like in many Chinese dramas.
In one of her other dramas she played a spy who became a chess genius in like 3 days of training. Had to suspend disbelief to get through that one.

Same problem with her other drama, Legend of Chusen, actually that one was worse as far as endings/non endings go. At Least with Princess Agents, a positive ending can be inferred.
I loved the Chinese drama Princess Agents. I think the ending could be more satisfying but without giving a spoiler if you remember all of the "powers" that Chu Qiao / Jing Xiao Liu / Xing Er has, then you will get it.
that's at least 2 Chinese Dramas that Zanilia Zhao has starred in that had WTF endings.
This happened in Legend of Chusen 1 & 2. Unfortunately, Zanilla has already taken on 2 other dramas since Princess Agents, so there's not going to be any satisfying sequel and good ending for either of these dramas. :(
It's my favorite drama right now. I'm also watching Lost Love in Times but find that LLiT never really created a relationship story for the OTP, yet still, the set, the actors - everything is so beautiful I have to watch it too.
