I have this understanding that most of us who are not from China are the ones loving this series. :O Or rather the older ones like me appreciates Song of Glory.

Is iQiyi better than Viki? I kept checking but it seems really that Viki is such a turtle in doing their subtitles for this drama? I'm already charged for this month. Ugghh!

I never understood these sub-genres before. But since last year I started to watch Chinese dramas I had to learn these. I was biased and hated it before or just simply detested it. Now I like Wuxia and even warmed to Xianxia. Damn I even love Eternal Love & The Legends.

Exactly my point. Seems like these two companies don't have exclusive rights to most of their series because you can watch them in both platforms. In the mean time I'm rewatching The Imperial Doctress and I've already cried again a barrel of tears.

I was forced to subscribe Viki because my interest with this series was really piqued. I keep checking today if the subtitle is really done sadly it's not. But hey can't complain since I don't speak Mandarin.:O

The subtitle is taking forever I already watched the raw episodes. I can't wait for the rest. I hope the streamers would already have it subtitled when they upload new episodes.

What's wrong with these Chinese companies? Can they at least have a healthy competition without having to monopolize the market? I thought the system of government is Communism but the economy is based on the big CAPITALISM.

I agree iQiyi doesn't do their subs great. I find it awful. Although for this particular series they are faster than Viki but the quality of subtitle is still better with Viki.

I've already watched 12 episodes so far and I would say I definitely LOVE it! And can't wait for the succeeding subtitled episodes. In fact I've rewatched some episodes twice or three times already. I understand some of the story lines are cliche but not everything at least. Main reason I'm really enjoying this series due to the main leads' portrayals. First off they are matured - not the flower boys and flower girls. They both bring gravitas to their roles and the chemistry is on. They are complementing each other. Perfect choice of leads the leading lady is beautiful and the leading actor is handsome. Thank god it's not a mismatch which is what usually happens in other Chinese dramas. The supporting cast so far is also great. I haven't seen a lady with nonsensical childish act yet.
