The only 2 characters i can sympathise with are crown prince and his majesty. I find huiju’s character a mix…
I agree to some extent tho i like that she can dish it and take it too like how she lets her secretary put her in her place all the time haha...she was kind to the tiny king and even Ian's secretary. So i do see goodness in her despite all the brattiness.

But 100% agreed with feeling for Ian and the little king. My heart breaks for both of them. The tiny kid having such a toxic mother whose ambition clouds everything even her own child's safety and anxiety. And Ian who seems to have lived his whole life prioritizing others and feels like a hollow shell of who he could've been :( even the marriage feels like he's doing it more for huiju than himself. I hope his character arc is well done and he learns to stand up for himself without feeling like he needs to vanish into the background all the time

What a fun ep2! Love the cat and mouse chemistry between the leads. Hope this isn't one of those dramas where the ice princess act ruins reciprocity in their relationship. I hope the prince isn't the only one giving and the fl catches feelings at the same pace too. Can't wait to see huiju use her snobbiness to defend the prince in front of all the people that conspire against him. Likewise I'm hoping the prince teaches huiju that it's okay to let someone else run the show for a bit too...^^

I am still confused about a scene in episode 2, did the Queen kill the former king?
I was confused too...looks like the fire caught up after she burnt his letter? No idea if that was a separate fire tho...

Ep 1 was so fun!

The little king sitting in the middle had me pausing just to squeal at how adorable he looked lmao...I totally wasn't expecting the king to be a little kid lmao

I usually straight up dislike snobby bratty characters like Seong Huiju but I like that her own secretary puts her in her place every chance she gets so the fact that she can dish it as well as take it hopefully means that there will be some character growth with her arc by the end.

Also how stunning is Byeon Woo Seok as the Grand Prince! Totally looked like a royal. The stylist team killed it with all the royl fits. Loved how they made traditional hanboks so contemporary. Wonder if this will catch on like a trend in Korea?

It's my first time properly watching IU as well as Byeon Woo Seok so I went in completely blind but it was a thoroughly enjoyable first episode.

I liked the pacing and the court politics seems super straightforward and not convoluted like some cdramas. Obviously it's still too early to tell how much more complicated this all will get but I was satisfied with the beginning

Older? The man is 34 for god's sake, he looks his age and thank god for that. People r so used to the wrinkle free porcelain dolls they see on their screen all the time now that a 34 year old man or woman can't even look their own age without needing defend it πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ we're all literally living in a simulation atp...it's only gonna get worse from here πŸ™„

I wish kdrama writers would write female leads like Im A Sol instead of sidelining them to second lead all the time...the cdrama Hidden Love is literally the only show I can think of that did this justice. Otherwise they always end up either being the second lead or toxic or never written at all...but a character like Im A Sol who loves silently and sincerely, wears her heart on her sleeves, doesn't play mind games with the male lead and is honest about what she wants, knows when to let go and step back without losing herself, has integrity and loves sincerely without burdening them...god i want to see a well written female lead like this for once who will finally get the guy...so rare to see a female character like that amongst the sea of passive cardboard cut out female leads who only take without giving any affection in return 😭

Also what a loser Taeseo is for not recognizing this gem who was always right in front of him...literally the definition of someone who lost the moon while chasing the stars πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ honestly, Im A Sol deserves way better anyway...

This is my first time watching Ryeoun and oh my god has he always been this charming with stellar screen presence? Lee Min Jae is amazing too. Park Ji Hoon without a mention is as always great. I'm only halfway through but I'm already loving all the bromance and budding friendship between the whole main gang. My heart breaks for Su Ho still, I wonder if this season has a resolution for him?

Wow talk about a transformation! I couldn't even recognize him in Bloodhounds 2. Hoping he does every role he ever does from now on in a crew cut hahaha coz he looked crazy good and had immense range in Bloodhounds 2. I could've never imagined him in an action role prior to this for some reason too. Looking forward to more of his work!

I don't see why you think body shaming is okay when it's about men. Men are allowed to not be super muscular and…
What negative attributes did I ascribe onto ZLH tho? I haven't insulted his character or personal choices? I'm only calling out what looks unhealthy to me. You are right though that I am not aware of ZLH's exact BMI and physical condition or health. I do apologize for that assumption. My original comment was talking about the general toxicity regarding diet culture and weight management in cent. I'm sorry if it came across insensitive.

I agree but there's also a moment where they gave us a glimpse of the same Woojin. That moment where they're dealing…
Ya i agree. This seasin had them being way too weak compared to the villains. On one hand i liked that they were not invincible but on the other hand, i wish especially woo jin had at least one fight way he properly won :( hopefully there will be a season 3 where they got back to their roots in terms of fighting together 🀣

Title Bloodhounds Season 2 Spoiler
Unpopular opinion continued: 6. Woojin in series 1 was such a spitfire. A hotheaded guy. He loves geonwoo but…
I agree but there's also a moment where they gave us a glimpse of the same Woojin. That moment where they're dealing with that disrespectful drug peddling bratty woman who is testing their patience and Woojin is holding their marine friend back from hitting her but then Woojin finally almost snaps and gives her the same bone chilling look...but he still holds back! I think that's incredible character growth coz we know the old Woojin wouldn't have held back. But like he's continued to tell Gunwoo this season, Gunwoo's influence on him is immense and the reason he is living well and that has made him the mature, level headed and patient man he is in s2. I do miss his ferocity too but it makes sense for his arc...

Title Bloodhounds Season 2 Spoiler
Wow that was so fun! Also what was that ending haha they're definitely teasing a season 3 right right right???? Also was park seo joon's character a bigger bad guy here pretending to side with gunwoo and woojin's side to bring in baekjeong over to his camp for bigger profits?? Coz minbeom gets a picture of baek jeong with a fatal head shot alluding to the fact that he's been killed off but then the end credits had them taking out makeup supplies to "make him pretty" alluding to the fact that baekjong wasn't killed and could return even more dangerous with a Thai drug mafia this time??

Also also i know I'm getting ahead of myself here but if at all s3 is happening and this is the direction they take with introducing Thai villains, we might even get to see some muay thai fight scenes πŸ˜… omg exciting times ahead, i hope!!

And let gunwoo, woojin and family always be safe and protected πŸ™
