PSA to any new viewers: if you're genuinely wondering whether to watch this or not, either check out the first 2-3 eps and decide for urself (best approach) or I recommend checking out the reviews with at least a 6-8 and above rating on here. The people rating this 1 and 2 have clearly decided for themselves before even fully completing the show and r deliberately portraying plain old troll behavior with 0 regard for the work and effort put in by the whole team.

This drama deserves a fair chance just like any other show and u won't find it in this toxic comment box either. This is purely an issue with viewer dissonance and expectations not aliging with what the makers decided to make. The drama, cast and crew absolutely aren't to blame for it. Especially concerning is the hate directed at the writer, park seo ham and roh jeong eui. This is a drama for god's sake. It's never that serious.

Gahhhh it's really over...i'm sooo bummed i never wanted this drama to end lol...will miss woojoo, hyun jin and taehyung so so much. I'll have to collect my thoughts and write a full review tomorrow. But for now i just wanted to say that i'm so glad woojoo is surrounded by such wonderful people and that hyun jin and taehyung found each other and their found family with their neighbors and friends. Really hoped for an engagement there at the end i mean both of them were anyway wearing white haha but i'll take a bday for woojoo consider this *is* woojoo's universe after all!

Also also how pretty is roh jeong eui! This episode had her looking the prettiest haha...she gives the most loving gaze when hyunjin looks at woojoo and taehyung! I'll be tuned into her, bae in hyuk and our new powerhouse of korean talent park yuho here on out for their future projects.

I'm eternally thankful to this show for giving me the happiest 6 weeks. Another banger from 2026 and this year only just began!

Hoping korean writers make more coparenting dramas in the future too. I can never get enough of this trope!!

Wow i understand it's their job but the child protection officer was really harsh to them. Like real parents haven't come close to losing a child in a crowded environment, and arranging daycare and neighbors to help take care of a child. The both of them have been doing their best and it would be devastating for woojoo to be taken away from the two people he finally found happienss with after going through something so traumatic like losing his parents. But ig it's a good thing in a way for both hyun jin and taehyung to reassess their priorities and organize their lives better around woojoo.

Anyway i loved all the family moments in this episode, especially that four leaf clover scene *swoooon 😍*

Idk if you're pretending to be naive or actually naive but you're deliberately twisting this situation that is obviously skewed in one direction to seem "accidental" or "innocent" when in fact, it isn't. SEAs r offended because they have been the brunt of east asian "jokes" at their expense for decades. The fact that what he said immediately got laughs and indifference from his cast members and himself proves that the intention was not just a simple "innocent" remark like u r making it sound. When historically your culture has normalized looking a certain way to be the standard and everything else being beneath that, yes, it absolutely is offensive to make a remark like this.

And oh pls ZLH didn't make that comment because he's proud to look SEA 🙄 they were literally joking about how unflattering the drawing was 🤦‍♀️ he specifically said that because the drawing was unflattering and magically the first thing that his brain equated to that was "looking SEA". U r deliberately ignoring context to defend someone's obvious ignorance.

I read it which is why i wrote what i wrote. This isn't an apology. He's literally saying "im sorry you were offended but that wasn't my intention" when like i said anyone can tell the intention was to create a funny joke out of something he knew would get the reactionary laughter from the other cast members he got by mocking a group of people who r historically treated like they're lesser than by east asians. So saying "it wasn't my intention to offend" is disingenuous in an apology because the intention doesn't matter when it's normalized in his culture to make offensive "jokes" at the expense of SEAs and what was said is offensive to anyone with cultural awarenss, sensitivity or at least media training. Instead a simple, "i realize i messed up, it won't happen again," is what a real apology looks like. No defensive words and victimhood, just good old accountability.

Bruh why can't not one of them just accept they messed up and will self reflect? Literally not that hard and would also take a smaller word count 🤦‍♀️ Like the intention is literally in his words and everone else's reaction to his words, no amount of gaslighting is going to change that. We all heard it loud and clear.

Also east asian celebs definitely need better global media training considering their projects and even variety shows r no longer geolocked and r being consumed by lots of different cultures, making up a significant percentage of their regular viewers and fandoms

Ig im team taeseop lol. Jisu and his noble man act is too cliche atp. Every other kdrama lead does it. I don't see him being a player but I hated that he hid from her what a jerk she was with at that blind date and again about the dress tag and again about why he pretended to be someone else, like he decided for himself that this grown woman can't handle the truth. It seems like that's the fundamental problem with guys like jisu. They fundamentally always lie and hide, even if they rationalize it as well-intentioned. But in actuality, it only reveals that he doesn't trust her to handle her own emotions. Shielding someone from hurt isn't actually protecting them. It's just postponing and prolonging the pain for when it inevitably returns. Plus she's a grown woman, older than him too. I don't think a woman like the fl would like being babied in that sense either...not to mention how dangerous it was for her to be in that situation with the creepy blind date guy without a clue about what was actually happening because someone decided to be a nobleman and withhold crucial information about the kind of jerks she will inevitably come across as she continues this blind date process.

And this alone proves that jisu isn't actually mature enough for a long term relationship yet. Taeseop on the other hand might be passive and awkward but i like that his actions, words and intentions align. It was obvious from the first date.

Every celebrity who is within reason to do this should absolutely do it. No use behaving like the bigger person here. I mean reputation is everything for celebrities espeically korean celebrities. I wonder why most of them don't 🤔 probably fear of bigger backlash?

Ooh ya i totally forgot the girl with the bracelet also was in a hospital gown! But hadnt the bf and her already met before then like there was a scene before that when chan first finds out about her. So I'm thinking they met at uni but i really do think u r onto something with them conspiring the whole explosion. The bf seems very shady overall amd so does the girl. I wonder if they were into some really shady stuff and things got out of hand maybe? Like a secret experiment or idk something along those lines? And chan also found out about that and planned to expose them at some point and maybe that could explain the bruises? That could actually explain the gaps in his memory coz if he was aware his life was under threat that's a lot of fear and trauma he would've had to carry if he remembered it. Lmao atp we should be writing this drama ourselves 🤣😅

I really hope u r right about the healing apsect of the drama. It really would be too much to have two terminally ill characters but ya i hope it isn't an open ending either where chan is alive but still chooses to leave or whatever. The shrapnel is pretty scary too but hopefully that wont cause long term problems either for him.

Ughhh ya the toxic parents getting redemption arcs is not new to kdramas so even i think he'll get one but hopefully they dont focus on that too much and i hope chan leaving suddenly has more to do with him recalling more memories from the explosion or some lose ends regarding that mystery. I mean we r at the half point now so it would make more sense that he's starting to remember the more important details. At least i hope thats the case😅

Ohh ya i was honestly frustrated they passed up on that chance to reveal everything, it would've been early but it would've given a new direction to the drama. But actually i do like the point u made about haran finding out stuff on her own. That would create some amazing angst and tension coz imagine how hurt and betrayed she'd feel. Or maybe she would also understand by that point? Either way that would be really interesting ngl

Also ya it sucks about the schedule being messed up this week. We'll have to wait a whole week for just the final episode now because of this mess 😭

The ost perfectly compliments this show! Just finished ep 5 last night and the "twist" at the end with goo yeong gil had me squealing 🤣 like the man could get anymore handsome, now with the red hair!! I was thinking the twist they kept mentioning during the promos was going to be about seo in guk actually being the developer of the game but i like this so much better and this was a really cool way to bring about a plot twist.

Not only does it add directly to mirae and kyeongnam's story, but it subtly reveals mirae had probably been crushing on kyeongnam this whole time too considering her subsconsious literally ended up describing her ideal man to look exactly like him! It also makes sense why mirae seemed so hyperfixated on him from the beginning, even talking about him to eunho apparently like he mentioned in ep 5, and seeing him as a rival from the beginning when kyeongnam himself never directly competed with her other than being slightly insensitive and giving mixed signals, he's never actually tried to directly sabotage her work.

Also also that confession and instant acceptance of her rejection!! *chef's kiss" that was a very unique moment and so much closer to reality than the usual seven montages of the ml wallowing in self pity and pining for the fl across seven lifetimes. I loved that kyeongnam simply said what he had to say, didn't force anything on mirae and simply accepted that she didn't feel the same way. And the fact that she was irritated by his instant acceptance and being so unbothered about it actually also clues in on the fact that she might be totally into him herself and just hasn't allowed herself to accept that yet.

I'm really excited to see how goo yeong gil turns out lol...just right off the bat i got myeol mang vibes from doom at your service so i'm doubly excited !!

Wow ep 4 felt like an audition tape for jisoo's future projects lol...she's done pretty much every kind of role and genre here 🤣

Concept and story-wise, love how the game is actively changing mirae's real life and helping her deal with her past. I thought this would be another frivolously lighthearted show but they actually make the game add more meaning to the character's life and thereby the entire context of the drama. I initially thought every episode would have a different cameo but the drama is making me throw out all my theories left and right so far lol. I like this much better. They show her using the game through a montage of shorter cameos instead of dedicating whole episodes to each cameo and instead dedicate more time to the cameos that actually tie the game directly to progressing mirae's real life and growth parallelly.

They've made a really unique romcom from a pretty standard concept here!

The shaman premise sounds like From Now On, Showtime. That was a really underrated show.

Saw the first two episodes last night and so far I'm really enjoying the overall romcom vibe of this show. It's lighthearted and fun, the worldbuilding makes it obvious that this is a drama to be watched lightly. I was suprised with how much detail was put into the actual VR game package coz it looked like an actual unboxing of a real world product and I was momentarily creeped out with how accurate it looked coz while this might be fun and games in a fictional show, I wouldn't want to actually be in a VR dating game even if the dates r lee soo hyuk and seo kang joon lmao...

I haven't seen Jisoo's acting before but she's great in this show. I didn't feel like I was watching Jisoo. The thing that stood out to me the most was how comfortable she seemed performing in front of the camera. Usually, u can tell an actor is self conscious and "acting" for the camera but here Jisoo portrays Seo Mirae like she's actually her. Now it might also be that I dont follow Jisoo or Blackpink regularly so I'm not used to seeing her in all kinds of situations. But from the interviews and promos for this show that I saw she seemed so lovely, always smiling and joyful. Mirae is more prickly and easily annoyed, and seeing Jisoo in this role really did feel like she was truly one with the character.

Seo in guk is one of my all time favs so I dont have anything more to say than I'm really only watching this show for him and I'm excited to see more of Kyeongam's moments with Mirae. It seems obvious to me that this is a one sided rivalry between them. Kyeongnam is just living his life, possibly even noticing her more than she even realizes, while Mirae feels this sense of competition with him. It does make sense tho coz he technically did help dump that absolute work of a writer onto Mirae. That was an unexpected character choice and really expanded Kyeongnam's role from simply being a workaholic robot to someone with a bit more personality.

I still haven't grasped all the details about the actual game rules coz mirae's date era with lee soo hyuk's character being cut short like that didnt make sense. Like i get that she only gets 50 hours with each date but then does that mean that every other player also finishes the game in that exact moment mirae's date with lee soo hyuk ends at the beach? Or do u need to be strategic to finish the whole storyline with a particular character? But then how do u do that if u only get 50 hrs with each one?
