Do y'all think anything will happen between the sml and sfl? That's been the only reason i'm still watching this but it looks like a proper love triangle rn...not sure if i interpreted all those promos wrong but i thought this was going to be a two couple drama like business proposal for eg...
2ML acting like a toddler, have you seen him in Crazy Love?2ML is in a loveless marriage and appears to have a…
Exactly why he's acting like a toddler throwing a tantrum and not a rational president of a company. No wonder his dad favors his stepson. Jae yeol is literally proving all their judgements of him right with his emotional tantrums.
And yes i have seen crazy love and that was a much more superior and enjoyable show in every aspect than whatever this is turning out to be...π« πͺ
Wow the secretaries were adorable! Such natural chemistry and that kiss has to be the most adorable one i've seen this year so far lol
And *siiiigh* six weeks of following this drama comes to an end today. I really enjoyed this show overall. A very unproblematic lighthearted romcom with some amazing visuals, worldbuilding and memorable characters. This one is an easy rec for romcom enthusiasts. The couple have a very healthy, reciprocal dynamic which was refreshing to see. Their chemistry could've had more tension but that's only my subjective opinion and not a real flaw. The plot is simple to follow and very straightforward. The political backdrop is meant to support the main love story, not the main focus, so I would urge new viewers to not treat this like a hardcore sageuk which it is not.
Overall, a very enjoyable watch! A big shout out to the makers, cast and crew! Thank you :))
Why is everyone in this show acting like a high schooler? Also why has the ml given his heart and soul to someone who can't even tell him openly whether she still has feelings for her ex (both their bosses and someone she meets at work every day mind you) and why they even broke up? Her reasoning was some vague bs and definitely not the whole truth coz they both looked so in love with each other in that flashback for it to just end so noncomittally. There is no way that was the whole truth. Which brings me to my next point of frustration: why do none of the men in this show have a spine? Also kim jae wook is too good of an actor to be doing sml roles but then to make him play a toddler dressed in a suit like jae yeol is just diabolical π€¦ββοΈ
This drama is getting better and better every episode! Why is every romcom hitting this year lmao...i've always thought im ji yeon has the prettiest smile, she smiles with her whole face and it's adorable π₯Ή heo namjun is every bit the handome lunatic seori describes him to be in this drama... only heart eyes whenever he's in the frame π
From the cast list, looks like kim minseok's character will soon become seori's manager just like i hoped lol, cant believe that is actually the direction they're taking! Their cat and mouse dynamic will be really fun to watch as actress and manager for sure
So it looks like our heroine actually becomes a heroine in this drama!
Some concerns even tho it's still early: I wonder when they're going to introduce the real shin seori...her real life has changed so completely that i'm starting to wonder how she will grapple with it, and what even happened to the actual seori's soul and what will happen in the end with the joseon concubine's soul?
Hope it wont end up like an alchemy of souls situation where you're already so invested in one protagonist that introducing another one in the end is going to be simply unacceptable lol...i would rather it turns out that seori is possessed but is still in control of her body and actions or something like that? Haven't seen any other soul swap dramas like Mr Queen etc for reference so i'm pretty lost here about how dramas like this usually wrap up πͺ
The plot twist with dong ju is exactly why this show is probably one of 2026's best already. Every new episode has something that takes u completely offguard or keeps ur interest if u r into this kind of genre...we've been set up all this time to believe the teachers' friend group had the following dynamics: designated mom (dong ju), dad (gi jeon), the youngest kid (da ju) and the oldest kid (ga u su) but then today's episode completely dismantled that whole dynamic and now idek who is who anymore lmaooo! This is how u have ur viewers stay invested across 16 eps...not a wasted moment with perfect pacing. so fun and entertaining!! The best part of this drama is still the friendships, whether it's among the teachers or between the students, and ultimately that's also what this show is about from my pov π₯Ή
I completely agree. And to think some people find this drama boring itβs honestly the most human and relatable…
Yup the market is all about rewarding those who want instant romance without the build up to it and all the natural conficts that can rise within that :(( i hope this wont stop dramas like from being made coz they r a dime a dozen as it is π
I'm in love with this show lmao...every episode just gets better and better...yes this last episode wrecked me, but im so happy to see a well written romcom with complex characters again. I will take this any day over a green flag simulator male lead who does everything right 100% of the time like an automated robot with no personality while the female lead stays passive, never giving even 2% of the same effort he does.
While this drama too started cliche, they've been able to make every cliche trope uniquely theirs from the old school romcom vibes with actually showing the slow burn build of their relationship with an actually invested female lead nstead of the recent outpouring of lame destiny and childhood connection tropes to even the unique way they set up the second half breakup that makes sense within the context of the trauma and pain these characters have been carrying. This is why good writing and treating your characters like characters and not templates matter!!
Freakin heck that was painful to watch. But this is one time where it feels like this kind of development actually…
Thank you for this! Agree with every word. Your reading of these characters is so empathetic and exactly why they need to be given grace despite their frustrating actions. Ofc mechoori's words are harsh but ofc he didn't mean yejin was suffocating. Everything he said was directed at himself and his helplessness at the whole situation, a pinnacle point of release for all the guilt he'd been carrying for years. And i was always frustrated with yejin's behavior with her dad but ur explanation is exactly what i was missing with her reasoning. It doesn't feel fair but from yejin's pov she probably feels even more betrayed because her dad was the only one she had to rely on her whole life so him doing that must've felt like the ultimate betrayal to her.
I'm honestly so happy to see a romcom with great writing again. While it started pretty cliche, every new episode has been impressive from the actual slow believable build of their relationship to these complex characters that aren't one dimensional puppets simply following a script...everything feels believable within the world and context of this story and these characters. If u r going to do the cliche tropes again, might as well make them uniquely yours like this drama does really well!
Dam ye jin is the (wo)man! She knows what (or who) she wants and makes sure she gets it! Girl had a grown man screaming "i love your π" in broad daylight in front of the whole village...love to see a proactive go getter fl π π€£ππ« π
I usually don't like to comment on actor/actress appearance. But can someone give Ahn Hyo Seop a new haircut and…
I mean he is a farmer living in a village that gets plenty of daylight...so i think the styling is appropriate...maybe even pretty cliche coz it's the usual template "small town boy" look...but it's not like they can put him in a suit either...
Kang mina and seo in guk are basically a 1+1 at this point haha...cutest brother sister duo on screen! Also 2 SIG dramas in a year...we're blessed!π π π
of him right with his emotional tantrums.
