It is more than half way through the series, so the Crown Prince presence was strong in the series, but his character…
I know thatΨ his death was crucial for the plot. I'm talking about the pairing here. Did he have a relationship with HY? From what we were shown he knew HY had feelings more than mere loyalty to him and used them in his favour. The reciprocation of these feelings wasn't shown clearly.
Except the end when he sent for the anti poison ingredients to be found, we didn't see much of his side. I'm not fishing for love scenes or such but they could do more to show it was two-sided.
The 2nd couple was such a big bait for people who suffers 2nd Couple Syndrome...The intro, character chart and everything showed Su Qian and Huo Ying are CP but at the end this happened...π
Yeah...no.I wanted to like this flick. I liked the measured pace, almost complete lack of OST in the first half,…
I like KNG and JDY too much to complain a lot about this but you're right. It's yeah...no! for me too. Quite agree about the smoking, it's funny how in kdramas seldom you'd see a character smoking, if ever. But in the movies, everyone in every profession and situation smoke. Now because of streamers they do it in dramas too but before, it was unheard of.π
About the hotel scene. I don't know what exactly you're confused about but to explain the situation, once Detective Jung (ML), who's a morally gray cop and does the case however he can, was after someone on the run and found his lover but she wouldn't tell anything so he'd poured swine pheromones on her to make her become horny and lose her mind.
His boss wanted to use the same method on Madam Kim but he found out and threatened him into releasing her.
There are 300+ chapters condensed into 12 episodes, so I'd assume they changed a lot of it but kept the skeleton…
I read some synopsis and reviews of the novel and seems it's a Real Historical People fanfiction about the last king of Southern Tang dynasty and a king of Northern Song king. Written them as lovers and the ending is quite sad.
Maybe they only got inspired by it and wrote a new drama with fictional countries and people.
Has anyone read the novel? I looked up the name and the one in "jjwxc.net" has different names and plot and also is marked a fanfiction not original. I'm confused about that.
I feel satisfied at the end. The only irritating death was Susu's because it was her pure idiocy to remain with a mentally unstable woman when she had her father's and sister's house. Other than her other deaths, even the likes of Silly Tiao's were sad but understandable. I really dislike deaths that only are there to make the audience suffer.
Good review! I dropped after ep. 9 but you're very right about the imbalance between the hardened general and romance lead. It was as if she had double personality, one is a girl who'd lived as a boy all her life along with military men and is a war veteran, the other side is Hu Yan who looks and acts like she's been posing as a man for 2 days.
Acting all clumsy and having physical , romantic moments with XJ all the time. I wonder how her cover wasn't blown up in the first week.
Ohh, thanks. I knew Reincarnation and Transmigration were banned in dramas but I thought it's more about feudal beliefs and such than this things. I don't believe in them myself so I don't mind if they change them to more convenient things in adaptations.
Rare critical comment but I really dislike the illogicality of NXX lying about getting raped by bandits and marrying…
My problem is that she didn't looked like a gang r***d girl. She was disheveled alright, by going around in the forest and staying out in snow but not that....
The Producer failed to get anyone else, be it a younger or older, plain-looking or gorgeous actress in the whole…
I've been wondering about this too. Her last main role is for 10 yrs ago and she's been acting now and then. I know it's just a daily in a low rating time slot but still they could get someone better. There are several actresses whom I've seen in both heroine and villainess roles and even with worse plots they were far better.

Also thank YOU for sharing this. I wondered how much of an aphrodisiac can pig pheromones be to make someone go mad with passion...π
