thank you for this awesome site btw, i have a ton of sites to download dramas, but never had one for variety shows (especially chinese ones), you're awesome!
Oh holy shit same!!! 😭 Have you been watching any other good shows? I just finished I’m Boxer – binged…
I’m the same, after I stopped watching anime around 2018–19, I fully fell into the drama rabbit hole 😂.
No problem, I just named those shows off the top of my head. It’s not too detailed, but if you’re looking for more later, let me know. I still have a couple you might like.
Okay, so with your question, I’m guessing you want me to suggest one that has a handsome contestant. Hmm, I’m not really sure how to answer that, as I watched all the shows purely for the competitiveness of the contestants.
The one person that comes to mind though is Itoi Yoshio, who was a Japanese contestant in Final Draft and Physical 100: Asia. I have to say, i'd say he's the 'wow' contestant, he probably has the best physique out of every contestant I’ve seen. Broad shoulders, tall height I saw a lot of people thirsting over him across different platforms, especially while he was in Physical 100: Asia, but It was more because of his body rather than face (though his face aint bad either), so while you’re watching Final Draft, you can keep an eye on him.
If I’m being totally honest with you, every single one of these shows has someone you’ll probably find attractive, it's literally full of physically fit shirtless dudes.
And for your drama recs, I might need a bit more to go on than just attractive characters though. They’re all actors, so most dramas are already stacked in that department 😭. Drop some of your all-time favourites, maybe your top five or more, so I can actually figure out what kind of dramas you might enjoy.

If you're looking for a survival-style show, I’d recommend watching Final Draft. It’s a Japanese sports competition show that I really loved. I’d also suggest checking out the Physical series, including Physical 100, Physical 100 – Season 2, and Physical: Asia.
My personal favourite out of all the survival competition shows I’ve watched is a Chinese show called WE NEVER STOP, which can be watched on YouTube, I highly suggest you watch it.
Heres the link for WE NEVER STOP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7w9LIA9fSLQ&list=PLdbzRdDJq2MxPILRKFfgqnpipd6lsL4F7 (There are 10 episodes in total, with each episode split into two parts, so essentially 20 episodes. Just a small heads-up, the subtitles aren’t the best and are most likely AI-generated, but since it’s mostly focused on physical challenges, you won’t be missing much even with the rough translations.)
I think it’s pretty obvious that this is just pure jealousy. It’s a bit sad that you’re sitting there trying…
Out of everything I said, that’s what you took from it? 🤦♂️ You ignored the actual point and fixated on one word just to argue semantics. Whether they said “pretty” or not doesn’t change anything. Calling her “uncanny” and “distracting” while throwing out baseless plastic surgery claims is still criticising her appearance, not her acting. If that’s the level of discussion you’re bringing, there’s not much to say.
Oh my bad… so the actress being "ugly" ruined the drama for them. Does that sound better to you?
As much as i like the actor, i can't continue this show anymore cos of the lead actress. The lead actor is carrying…
I think it’s pretty obvious that this is just pure jealousy. It’s a bit sad that you’re sitting there trying to audit her face instead of actually following the story. Calling her "uncanny" because you’re clearly bothered by her looks isn't a valid critique, it just makes you look bitter that she’s successful and beautiful. You’re already blaming "annoying fans" just to deflect from the fact that you’re the one bringing unnecessary toxicity to the comment section. If an actress being pretty is enough to ruin a whole drama for you, that says more about your own insecurities than her talent. Feel free to drop the drama, but don't act like your weird obsession with her surgery is a real opinion.
Idk if I’ll be able to watch this all the way through… I find it ironic that there is a whole scene about…
I think it’s actually intentional that the drama makes you feel that way, even if some find it slow or annoying. The writer is basically trapping us in the same "stuck" reality that Dong-man has been rotting in for 20 years. It’s a bold and slightly aggressive move to make a drama about being a loser actually feel that frustrating, but it puts you right in his shoes to make the eventual healing process feel earned.
Platforms is not announced the date early and this drama does not pass the review and obtain a license and it…
Fair enough. I just commented this here for when the release date is announced. I understand it’s not available yet, but I posted this as a reminder for someone to notify me once the actual date is given.
There's been so many of these tho: queen of tears, my demon, crash landing on you, hotel del luna, its okay not…
That is not considered 'so many' when you compare it to the literal hundreds of rich ML/not-so-rich FL dramas that have dominated the industry for decades. What you just named are the notable exceptions, not the rule.
Actually, the fact that you can list those specific titles so easily is a textbook example of selection bias. Those dramas stand out precisely because they are rare. If this trope were actually common, you’d be lost in a sea of them, just like we are with the 'Rich CEO/Poor Secretary' trope.
Plus, some of those don't even fit the dynamic. In Crash Landing on You, Captain Ri is the son of one of the most powerful political figures in his country, he’s basically royalty. In Touch Your Heart, he’s a prestigious elite attorney. Even if the ML in My Spooky Romance isn't 'poor' per se, it’s the flipped power dynamic that is still a total breath of fresh air compared to the endless 'Cinderella' stories we get.
Bit of a stretch to call it absurd. Thrillers aren’t that one-dimensional, plenty of them include some level of romance, even if it’s minor. Asking about it doesn’t suddenly turn it into a soap opera.
There’s nothing absurd about asking that. Thrillers can and often do include romance, even if it’s not the main focus. It might be a subplot, character motivation, or just a subtle dynamic between leads. Genres aren’t that rigid, so it’s a perfectly reasonable question.
I haven't started this one yet, but just from the trailer, it already feels like a K-truama in the making. My gut feeling usually turns out to be right, though I really hope I'm wrong!
