Yes it will be torture to sit through the tragedy and expecting things that will never gonna happen ......
I want that some one rewrite the script and give happy ending to all .
Shifu does not deserve to die as a puppet of emperor ........
TIlan does not deserve to go through endless insult Just to survive ...
FH deserve to a happy life with Shifu and brother Zhao Ying .
Emperor deserve to move on from his first wife ...

I dont think FH and Emperor will in pure love because them there is only 1 true love . Zizian in case of Emperor and FJ in case of Haishi .
I think We see emperor and Haishi together because of mutual hatred ....Haishi hatred/anger for shifu to push her to another man even though shifu clearly have feeling for her . And Emperor Hatred towards Shifu because of betrayal of best friend .
I think it is complicated and wont simple like emperor falling for haishi and then they having a kid together

I am liking it because they are slowly developing the tragic love triangle instead of rushing all the things ....
As you said though FH love look like puppy love but it run too deep and now we can see that shifu is also falling for him and we can see slowly his cold mask is breaking away and he bit by bit showing expression .

Yes Tilan did provoke him but it does not give a man a right to tear apart cloths and have his way with a woman .

I dont think so but it was super weird that emperor got every where she went ...like he locked her south palace but she ended up getting there ...
When maid was fighting for kite , he ended there at the same time when Tilan was defending the maid ....then when they were floating the lantern again the emperor got their at the same time ...too many coincidence ..
I wonder do emperor often stumble on other consorts as much as he stumble on tilan ?

I agree with you . I dont think Tilan has a malicious heart rather she is too naive to be used by others easily .
I think she choose to dress as Zizan because of the Uncle . I think he emotionally blackmailed her that what prompted her to wear Zizan cloth and emperor place .
I think she herself does not like to enter place without any reason , she want to stay away from emperor as far as possible .

I have seen a few clips here and there , So I dont know the fate of emperor but I think FH and shifu fate will be cruel .
FH Might get to sit on throne just like the novel ending ...and she did hated shifu for pushing away. Also she found out that Shifu is Baixi in most cruelest way ...Emperor asks her to bite his hand and she did bite his hand but she discovers that there is practically no injury on emperor hand . While on other hand Shifu got new painful bite marks .
Also Emperor is Psycho . It seems like Baixi thing is carried out for generation , where Fang family been serving as Baixi to royal heirs ..so Basically they are tools for royal family and shifu does want to break this painful chain .
So In nutshell I am expecting no happy ending either for shifu , FH or emperor

I guess history is similar everywhere. But in past Only those who can afford ought to keep multiple women at home .
Those which belongs to lowest level in society hierarchy used to have only one wife (slaves , servants) while nobles like scholar , working for king or rich merchants used to have servants and multiple wives ...like 2-5 .
But it is the emperor/king who use to have most woman at his disposal . It is very common setting .

Even if she has not mission , I think she is either blackmailed or manipulated . Because given what has happen , she would never wear her sister clothing by her choice . She must have forced to wear those cloths and that eventually brought her to bad side of emperor
