We got confessions from both in the audio drama (sadly only half of the episodes are translated) and I think, Chen Yuzhi reciting the poem (in the TV show) from which Jiang Yuelou got his name, telling him that he'd like to stay at his side forever and all the things Jiang Yuelou did for Chen Yuzhi can kinda count as confessions. I fell so hard for their romance, I feel silly sometimes (but in a very good way 🥰) and it didn't weaken over the last 3.5 years. If you read fanfics, let me recommend the 400+ fics on AO3. We are just a few writers but maybe the most dedicated ☺️

The novel is definitely more on the romantic side (even the drama was freaking romantic, especially for a Chinese production). It's still very restrained but the novel added more layers especially to the relationship between YueZhi and one scene in the no el literally made my heart skip a few beats. Nope, I didn't watch the Lost Tomb. Maybe some day I will but I'm totally obsessed with YueZhi 💕 right now and barely can make time to get myself involved with other stuff. 😁
