Give it a try if you haven't already started it. Like I said so many times already, that's the most romantic CBL I've ever watched.

It's seven years since this had been filmed. Why are there no news about it airing. I wanna watch a drama where we finally can see Mao Zijun playing a character who finds happiness in the end (I at least hope that he'll find it in this drama). 😭

You mean Chu Ran and Jin Dacheng. No, they won't get together. They do have one other significant scene together but this one was the best imho. Jin Dacheng will show his full potential in the last episodes.

I usually don't watch Kdramas so Idk about that and I also don't know many Jdramas. I've read that "My Roommate is a detective" should be a good one although there's an annoying female lead (the female lead in Killer and Healer, Chu Ran, is the most adorable I've seen in Chinese (B)romance dramas so far). Desire Catcher is nice but the chemistry in my opinion is not as strong as in Killer and Healer. Justice in the Dark was ridiculously promising but they stopped airing it after 8 episodes. I generally don't watch that much TV shows so maybe someone else here knows more dramas. Did you watch Guardian? The chemistry is top notch, and even if the production is a little cheap it's definitely worth a watch.

Many compare TDJ to Killer and Healer, saying that it's a similar level of (B)romance. The romance between the two mains in Killer and Healer is very obvious imho (the touches, the longing gazes 🥴, them protecting each other). If you want some intense romance which even censorship couldn't destroy you should give it a try. The chemistry is 😘. It's not to miss how smitten one of the mains is literally since their first encounter.

Definitely nothing hate here. It's very enjoyable to watch and the four main actors are a well made casting choice. I'm at episode 17 rn. Really love all four of them.

I hope, I got your question right. KaH is an original story, so there's no novel which it is based on, just the TV script. The novel was made after the TV script but the ending differs a lot (it's a really nice ending in the novel). 💕

Dunno why it got such a low rating but the movie is actually really nice. Almost reminds me of a stage play. It was very enjoyable to watch and I like watching Mao Zijun playing silly scenes now and then. I can totally recommend it.

They filmed it in late autumn/winter and it got really cold in Hengdian (where the drama had been filmed). You often can see this in C-dramas. I think they often film in the colder seasons.
