Can someone put the link to the preview for episode 9 pls
There is no preview yet, you'll have to wait a few days until they release one. Seems like the broadcast has caught up to what they filmed so far and they went into live-shooting now. So don't expect any previews at the end of the episodes from now on (or only on the episodes that air on Wednesday).

Now that I'm convinced that Ba Reum is the cross killer, I'm wondering what kind of role the mysterious character from the relationship chart will play.

The most likely case is that he's another psychopatic serial killer who will be caught by Ba Reum in the upcoming episodes. And I think we have been introduced to him by now, namely in ep. 7. We know that he's a police officer and there's a new face in the violent crimes unit that we haven't seen before. His name hasn't been mentioned yet, so there's no way to confirm whether it's really Lee Min Soo, but it's very likely.

That would make at least three psychopathic serial killers working as police officers, lol. Ba Reum, the old detective they caught in ep. 8 and Lee Min Soo. That's really a lot.

how did HSJ perform surgery in jail...
The brought him to the hospital. They probably pretended that he needs a medical check-up to bring him out of jail and to the hospital for a while.
As for the reason, I'm pretty sure it's because they had to save Ba Reum due to the public's attention on him, but the surgeons weren't capable of doing so and Han Seo Joon used to be a genius surgeon.

Let's assume the brain transplant thing is true. Then how do you explain that Ba Reum is suddenly such a good fighter when he used to be a weakling? There's only one logical explanation: He wasn't a weakling but only pretended to be. And how do you explain the strange way in which Han Seo Joon stared at Ba Reum as if he recognized a fellow psychopath when he saw him for the first time?

Furthermore, it was clearly stated that the cross killer has like the highest level of psychopathy possible. But we saw Yo Han expressing feelings like fear and sadness, so it's simply impossible that he indeed was the cross killer. Adding to that his mom's strange reactions which only make sense if he wasn't the killer. I'm thus pretty convinced that Yo Han was just an innocent victim.

There's still a lot more stuff one could name but I'll leave it at that for now. Anyway, I'm 99.9% sure that Ba Reum is the cross killer and the brain transplant theory is just absurd imo. Whatever Han Seo Joon did to his brain, it definitely wasn't a brain transplant. Furthermore, Han Seo Joon seemed disappointed and told Ba Reum that it looks like the surgery wasn't a success in ep. 7 and it seemed like his was telling the truth because there's no reason for him to say those things otherwise. If the brain transplant thing were true, the surgery would have been a success, wouldn't it? I think it's highly likely that Han Seo Joon considered the surgery unsuccessful because Ba Reum lost his psychopathy to some extent. As he said, his eyes changed, which are crucial in recognizing a psychopath.

Have some trust in the writer, guys. Even if it's only fiction, the plot still needs to make sense within the world created for the drama. And a brain transplant simply isn't possible scientifically, they can't just insert fantasy stuff at random without consideration for any logic. Furthermore, the cliffhangers at the end of the episodes never turned out to be true and were just there to shock us.

Episode 8
Alright, thanks for not spoiling!

I saw comments without the spoiler tag talking about Ba Reum suddenly having feelings for Hong Joo (and it was suggested in the preview for ep. 8 as well), so in case this is the reason people still believe in the transplant theory, I can already comment on this.

Him having feelings for Hong Joo just doesn't make sense at all. We already know at this point that Ba Reum is a psychopath and we shouldn't forget that a psychopath isn't able to love. I'm sure it's something else he's feeling towards Hong Joo and he simply mistook it for love. Just like how he failed to recognize that he felt excitement upon seeing the body in ep. 7. This clearly told me that he's unable to attach a name to what he's physically experiencing when he feels something.

Maybe Ba Reum was aware that Hong Joo was involved with a serial killer and thus it evokes some kind of feeling in him.

If there's another reason speaking for the transplant theory besides this, then I'll comment on it tomorrow after watching ep. 8.

Episode 8
I haven't watched ep. 8 yet, so I don't know if there's anything in that episode that could support the brain transplant theory, but up to ep. 7 there's nothing at all and people have been talking about this theory for weeks. What could even be the message the writer would want to portray by adding brain transplant to the plot? I can't think of anything that would make sense and the drama obviously must have a message it's trying to show.

Why are people still hung up on the brain transplant theory? It's like the most far-fetched theory one could come up with and there's nothing that would justify it.

No matter how hard her life may be, she still tried to murder a person. I don't think Yo Han died because of her…
She obviously wasn't in her right mind at the time after going through so many things. Who would be? Her actions are completely justifiable (although not right of course) and I'm sure she wouldn't have been prosecuted for it even if the police had caught her. On the contrary, she's probably just blaming herself even more now since nobody knows about the incident and thus nobody can comfort her and tell her that it wasn't her fault.

And I bet she didn't even go through with it anyway.

Plus, if we start blaming people for trying to kill someone without looking at the circumstances at all, then Moo Chi needs to be condemned for shooting Yo Han as well. So why is everyone only accusing Bong Yi? If the grandma hadn't been killed and successfully went through with her plan of killing Bong Yi's rapist, would you have condemned her as well?

Lilli, why do you still think it's not JaeHoon when it's already shown in Ep#1, and confirmed he's a psychopath…
Yes, I think he would have been fully capable of doing it, but I'm pretty convinced that it wasn't him but someone else and he didn't lie during the investigation. When he narrates that he felt excited after his first murder, they show the body of the boxer. And the police also said back then that the murder of the boxer seems like the first attempt of a psychopath. Also, why would he not kill for so many years if he committed his first murder already when he was 10 years old? Furthermore, I saw people mentioning that the dad seems to have fallen down the stairs and Jae Hoon walks up from the other side and we only see him taking out the knife.

Poor Bong Yi really doesn't get a rest. She must be the most pitiful character in Kdramaland ever. What happened to her as a child would already be enough to be traumatized for life but bad things still keep happening to her.

Could the new serial killer they're looking for be the guy who raped Bong Yi? Since it's weird that he apparently didn't murder anyone the past years and this point would be explained if it's him as he was in jail until recently. But would this psychopath be interested in sexual assault as well? It doesn't seem like the recent victims were sexually assaulted. Plus, he didn't kill Bong Yi, so it's probably not him after all.

On the other hand, they show him go after Bong Yi again in the preview for ep. 8, so maybe there was a special circumstance in the past why he couldn't kill her. They also didn't show us yet how he got caught back then. And maybe the new victims were sexually assaulted as well and the police just didn't find out yet. At least they were all women.

Does anyone remember if the first victim in ep. 1 who was lured by Hong Joo was also sexually assaulted? Did they say anything about it?

But the first victim of the new serial killings didn't seem to be afraid of whoever was in the car and the face of the rapist is known to the public. So I'm probably completely wrong with this theory.

But then again, whoever was in the car might not be the killer and he might have a habit of using other people to lure out his victims.

There's one big mystery that I still can't explain at all. I can't even think of theories for it. Who killed Jae Hoon's family and why? It obviously wasn't him since it's clearly stated that the revenge murder of the boxer was his first murder. Any ideas?

My thoughts after watching ep. 7:

So it seems like there's a whole bunch of psychopathic serial killers and they're really turning the ML into a serial killer as well. But I really wonder how they'll logically explain the TV broadcast episode then if the cross killer really is Ba Reum. Or they're just fooling us again and it's still not Ba Reum after all. But it indeed seems very likely now that it's him, especially after showing his childhood memory with the mouse.

I remember having read before that the writer wants to portray psychopaths who show real remorse, so here's my guess about how the story will unfold. Remember how Han Seo Joon told Ba Reum that his eyes have changed? We already learned before throughout the drama that the eyes are crucial when it comes to psychopaths and that they can recognize each other through them. That's why I think Ba Reum's wound or the surgery must have changed something in his brain which will enable him to feel empathy, or to learn how to feel empathy over time. I have no knowledge of medicine but I don't think something like this is possible in RL, but a psychopath showing remorse like the writer is aiming for probably isn't possible in RL either, so I think this drama will have some sci-fi elements. So now that Ba Reum lost his memory, he actually thinks he is a good person and will learn feelings of empathy over time. And after learning them, he will discover that he actually used to be a brutal serial killer and feel remorse.

And after they catch Ba Reum, I think there will be some conflict over whether he could be forgiven or not since he will have done good deeds by catching several psychopathic criminals until then and will feel real remorse about his past.

I think the staff didn't put his photo because he's a minor character. They do that in other drama websites.
He can't be a minor character because he even got his own character description while many other supporting characters who have a photo on the chart don't. Plus, he's the only character listed who hasn't appeared yet in the drama.

But of course, he could also serve as just another red herring thrown in already during the drama's promotions.

Just putting it here again since nobody seems to talk about it: There's a character on the relationship chart…
Another thought just crossed my mind. Since he's a new character, he's probably none of the three children who got their DNA tested (I suppose those three are Yo Han, Ba Reum and Detective Shin), but I think he must still be related to the characters in some way and he has the same surname as Daniel Lee, so what if he's Daniel Lee's son? This might be a little far-fetched though since Lee is a very common name.

Just putting it here again since nobody seems to talk about it: There's a character on the relationship chart who hasn't been introduced yet at this point of the story. On the chart is no photo of the actor playing him, only the title "Mouse" is written there. It's thus highly likely that this character will be the serial killer.

If anyone wants to check, here's the link to the chart: http://program.tving.com/tvn/mouse/5/Contents/Html

The character description says his name is Lee Min Soo and he's a detective who joined the police force after the girl he had a crush on in high school died. And it also says he doesn't get too close to anyone.

The death of the girl could actually serve as the motive for the first revenge murder, if the boxer was somehow involved. He might have wanted the girl to reproduce and got angry at the boxer for ruining his plans.

This drama totally got me out of my drama slump, I keep thinking about it all day long!

Here's my own theory on the serial killer:
I really want it to be Ba Reum because it would be so amazing to finally have a purely evil main lead in a Korean drama. However, the chances that it's indeed him are pretty slim imo. The fact that he went to eat while his friend was being attacked doesn't serve as an alibi since it was he himself who said that it must have happend while they ate. It could just have been a lie and he might have attacked his friend at a different time. But the real problem is the TV show. It's pretty impossible for him to be on the TV set, take care of the file and murder the priest all at the same time.
Furthermore, there's a police officer character on the relationship chart who hasn't been introduced yet at this point of the story. There's not even a photo of the actor and there's just written "Mouse" instead. So the serial killer is most likely this character and he'll be introduced later on in the story. Maybe Choi Jin Hyuk actually didn't decline to star in this drama and will play this character?
Anyway, I think Ba Reum is just a regular psychopath who doesn't kill people and Yo Han is a genius with a grudge against serial killers who does his own investigation. He must have recognized that Ba Reum is a psychopath and thus mistaken him as the culprit. And I don't think it's Detective Shin either, simply because of the casting. As much as I like PO, I doubt he's capable of pulling off such a role. He's just there to confuse us, I guess.
