My fellow Seon Ho stans, please keep your fingers crossed for me! Ticketing for his play starts next Tuesday and I'll need tons of luck to get a ticket. I'm super nervous already haha, I want this ticket so badly.
Good list but I was hoping to see : • Kim Seon Ho : Start-Up • Lee Do Hyun : 18 Again• Jo Seung Woo : Stranger…
Lmfao, this list is obviously just from the writer's pov. Tbh, I find a lot of non-news articles on Soompi to be a little shallow. But I like going to Soompi for English news on the Kdrama industry.
Since people keep talking about Do San's shyness, I'd like to add my two cents on this topic.
As I see it, Do San is insecure and awkward, but definitely not shy. I used to suffer from extreme shyness as a child, when the teacher asked me a question in class, my mind would just go blank and I wouldn't utter a single word, so I can speak from experience. Even now as an adult I still consider myself as a shy person, although it's by far not as extreme as compared to when I was little.
So, speaking of Do San, first of all, he has no problems interacting with people, even though his ways may be awkward. Especially, and this is crucial, when he's interacting with strangers. Shy people might feel comfortable and seem like a complete different person when they're with family or friends, but it's impossible for them to not struggle when they have to interact with strangers. But Do San is able to strike up conversations with strangers and can also speak in front of other people without even blinking an eye. He just doesn't care much about socializing but he is fully capable of doing so without any reservations. Furthermore, he doesn't shy away from voicing his own pov and never feels embarrassed about his word or actions, while shy people try to give away their real selves as little as possible (unless they're talking to close family or friends) and often feel embarrassed when they couldn't avoid showing a part of themselves to strangers.
As a result, I see Do San not as a shy person but as someone with low EQ and lots of insecurities.
The last comment made me contemplate whether there were any drama characters I especially related to this year. For me it was Kim Eun Hee (Han Ye Ri) in "My Unfamiliar Family". My personality is different from hers, but I could relate to her holding on to relationships that aren't worth it because of her feeling inferior and undeserving of someone good. I had similar experiences in the past.
What about you guys? Any characters you related to?
I feel sorry for hanjipyeon because he reminds me of myself. I too had a crush on one boy we were some sort of…
No worries, nobody will make fun of you. Thank you for sharing your story with us! And I am really sorry that it ended tragically for you. But I am sure you will find someone else you love in the future and have more courage this time round :)
I love hearing real life stories from people who relate to characters in dramas. It really shows how realistically and well written Ji Pyung is. It's a pity that the writer didn't give him a better ending. It's a motivational youth drama and not a melodrama after all and could have served as a ray of hope for people like you. Now I'm getting upset all over again with what the writer did to Ji Pyung and us.
Swoon Netflix will post another KSH single interview & here's the sneakpeak, his laughs, too adorablehttps://www.instagram.com/p/CInOqRzJpHT/?igshid=p53m8wwbierhCan…
Omg, that smile, I just died from cuteness overload! And lmfao at that post office comment.
I doubt there's anyone else. He pretty much achieved the impossible.
Note, IG followers has got nothing to do with industry recognition, but it's still an amazing feat to be loved by so many people! And in the case of Seon Ho, I think it's safe to say that he's not only gaining popularity but also recognition in the industry for his acting chops.
Seon Ho has just reached 3.4 million IG followers! And this won't be the end yet, the number is still rising steadily.
Has there ever been a case like this before? I don't have any stats to confirm this, but I believe he's the first Korean actor to gain so many followers in such a short amount of time. And even if there were similar cases before, he's definitely the first one in his age category.
His next TV project will be crucial in determining whether his immense popularity will be short-lived or long-lasting. I hope that he chooses it wisely and that it'll become a hit. He truly deserves it!
Okay, in a comment below I suggested that the writer and director had to change the original ending but stubbornly…
We've all been waiting for you, your motivational comments were greatly missed last week haha. Welcome back!
Haven't read your comment yet since I have some stuff to do right now, so I'll read it later, but I hope you weren't too devastated after finishing the drama.

Let's be honest, if Ji Pyung had been played by a mediocre actor, we'd all have dropped this drama long ago.

I love the dark vibe! Now I want to see him in a dark drama really badly.
And they also announced that they'll soon upload a quiz-interview with him!
