What in the bedazzled crocs is happening here Queen Mother? Taking the brakes out ain't cool.
Just goes to show that person is used to committing vile acts. Drama-wise, it makes for some good thrilling scenes and keeps the audience on their toes as we anticipate what these unhinged antagonists will come up with next! Also, personally, that last scene with ML was squeal-worthy! 😄
I dont get it what happened to people's taste in television. why are so many people hating on such a great drama.…
It's viewers of the other cast (i.e. 2nd leads) who had a different perspective than what the show intended it to be and couldnt accept that it didnt turn out the way they wanted 🤷♀️
the rating... no words, MDL is becoming ridiculous, you mean this drama is worth this, compared to the others?…
I wouldn't worry too much about ratings on this site. Ratings here look like a popularity contest nowadays. The important numbers are the Korean broadcast ones which was well-received with its highest rating for episode 12. That's the one that matters more to the cast.
Couldn't help but chuckle at YeongRye's mom speaking facts. "Is this something we decide ourselves? They have to have feelings for each other."
She must surely know also that Hyeon's visits to their home and having meals with them isn't just because of her cooking. Lol. With other moms, they would be pushing their daughters towards the guy.
We will see how those one- sided feelings will be reciprocated soon enough. That is the engaging part of the drama, other than the friendships and found family, of course. It's no surprise that the drama is doing well ratings-wise in Korea.
Just FYIIn most Korean dramas:The female lead usually ends up with the male lead, especially if the story builds…
There is a certain formula that K drama writers follow for rom com or rom melo. And this one seems to be doing the same where both FL and ML end up together. It looks to me that characters surrounding them, that is JongHui and Hyeon, are just "distractions" in the main leads' romance. After the time gap, the main leads' relationship has the most development. Instead of drifting apart with Jong Hui's absence, they became close friends, an ideal stage where the next step and transition for a romantic one can take place.
I'm afraid Hyeon's habit of calling YR ugly, even though it's meant as sort of inside joke really doesn't help him with brownie points. It makes the character look like he's not serious enough to make a commitment even though he likes her. It also indicates that after 7 yrs nothing has really changed. Their dynamics have stayed the same. And more importantly, YR did not develop any romantic feelings for him.
We don't know much info yet about JongHui's current status. But since she is back on the scene, I do think a proper closure is needed between her and JaePil.
We're just halfway through. The first part was a foundation for all of the characters. I believe the 2nd part will be where the real trajectory of their story take place.
I totally understand why YeongRye would be so smitten with JaePil.
Aside from his manly physique and looks, he's the perfect gentleman -- helping her at the skating rink, defending her from the fare evader and even risking his father's wrath to bring her and her mom to the hospital.
I like JaePil's character as the not-so-typical rich kid. Finally, a rich kid who isn't rude /entitled and one who's not a show-off and flaunting his wealth.
I like that he's sweet and attentive towards his little sister. It's obvious she adores him from how excited she is when she sees him. It's not often enough that we get to see big brothers caring for their kid siblings and not just for show, either.
I have a soft spot for characters who have genuine care for their siblings or young kids in general. I also think his relationship with his late mom has shaped his character and could play a crucial role in his future relationship with YeongRye.
I wonder if it was a foreshadowing when he helped YeongRye and her mom to the hospital. The way he instructed his driver to turn around and assured the driver that he will take responsibility could be something that he will do in future for YeongRye once they get together and his dad (or other issues) come between them.
If I'm not mistaken, this writer had previously written dramas where the ML was unlikable at first or had feelings for another besides the FL in the beginning. But she managed to turn the story and characters around later. For now, I don't mind the intersecting love lines. Because sometimes life can take detours and don't often go the way we plan.... So I'm actually quite curious and invested with the main leads and look forward to which direction the story will take next.
Have you ever checked out any Prosecutor K-dramas? They really seem to be overwhelmed with paperwork! It’s like…
That reminds me of the way they emphasize the huge workload they have to do by bringing in an armful of unsolved cases on the table -- usually dumped on the newbie prosecutor 😂
You're right. He did get a call. It's on episode 8 on 31 min. mark.
I would think so, too! Even as I anticipate a little bump in their budding relationship. Only natural and expected, of course with such a huge revelation.
I'm curious to see how the writer will resolve that considering some of the other side characters (appraisal lady, single lawyer mom) have been presented with such thoughtful consideration and sensitivity. If anything, it would be nice to see our main leads' possible conflict handled in the same way.

I'm assumimg the same. If you rewatch that part just before the call, while they were walking at a park, EH mentioned about 2 people who were significant to him. There's more to that story, I reckon.
You've summed up what makes this drama work so well. Sometimes, a romance drama just needs normal, mundane activities…
Let's hope that they do. So far, the main characters are written in such a way that is thoughtful and considerate of the other person with their words and actions.
I've watched the kiss scene from the preview way too many times to admit and still missed that they are wearing…
Yes they did!!! Previous episode she told him not to get out of the car and accompany her to her flat or she would not be able to let him go. Guess he got out of the car and I'm going to keep swooning for one week lol

Love your insights too. They've both come a long way from their first not-so-friendly beginning. Some prejudices on both their jobs have been set aside. Being together at work and out of the office really allowed them to get to know each other better.
I'm not familiar with the writer's other works so I'm curious how she'll resolve their past trauma - one suffering from the pain of loss and the other possibly experiencing some guilt from being saved.

Definitely looking forward to how that plays out. I appreciate that the drama is taking its time in establishing their relationship first before they head to the presumed conflict with their past connections.
I love the kind of romance that just has two people slowly falling in love through spending time together doing…
You've summed up what makes this drama work so well. Sometimes, a romance drama just needs normal, mundane activities sprinkled with some well-tested cliches and tropes and voila! everything becomes extraordinary.
I have to say though that I think we're shown Eun Ho's feelings slowly developing but very subtle. And he probably isn't aware of it yet or subconsciously fighting it maybe (?) even though his actions say otherwise. Surely, that dinner invite to his home is a tell-tale sign. I found it kinda funny that this scene was playing out while his lady neighbor and her mother were talking about Eun Ho and his stew. I do love how they are getting to know one another through food - first at the restaurant, at the convenience store and then, in his home. I like how his preparing dinner that night ties in to what he said in earlier episodes about how a home cooked meal is made with much heart. And how those times they spent together also showed how far their relationship has progressed - from their stiff first meal with him telling her, "I was told to make sure that you eat" to their playful banter, "Make a reservation next time". That night, he was wearing his heart on his sleeve or rather, on his (invisible) apron, heh
Can’t deny that there are scenes that Eun Ho worked until late night as he’s adjusting to his new role, but…
Good points. There are some events that can take longer hours such as that night they had the welcoming party. So it's not like he can just excuse himself to go home early before everyone else. And he did call to check in with his neighbor-friend. By the time the company dinner wrapped up, it was already late and his daughter would be asleep by then. Bottomline, for me, as long as we see his daughter smiling and happy and ML is not neglecting his daddy duties, I don't see a cause for concern or worry about his work schedule.
i hope they wont ruin the plot with the childhood connection..yet again….
Childhood connections are part of 98 % of Korean dramas depicted in various situations. I've already come to accept that reality in order for me to enjoy certain dramas. Otherwise, there would be very little left for me to watch 😅
