The way bro went from hating her to being in love ππ He is literally in the courtyard casually pining over…
I think this is harem style well done.
I saw in some others production, anime and novel, it just felt forced. Same trope and yet different output.
But for Wei Yan, the screenwriter made the evolution of his feelings appears so organic that I can't help but pity him. Because he got no fate with her. The saddest part is that he Knows it too. My poor little baby
1) Peter starred in many popular cdramas. He has a good fanbase. His features are also distinctive. 2) my hypothesis…
Yeah we are playing guess game here. So no worries
While it is possible, I think that would be too much of a drastic change from the source material. Now that we are halfway through the drama, I don't feel the addition of a new antagonist as something the screenwriter would do, seeing how effective her team has cook, adjusted and amended just the right dosage for this drama adaptation. It will be a high risk to take against the current novel fanbase. The scholar ( and Wei Yan too I guess ) purpose in the story seems to simply trigger the jealousy in Wei Shao to drive the plot forward. So that the main lead get together. That is what I gathered from the novel. But coming from weak scholar to strong antagonist would take everyone by surprise. π
You got it! People usually has some preferences that would stick around.
I'll share a quick sample to make a point.
My favorite male character goes from Vegeta to Sephiroth. So in this drama, you can guess my favorite side of Wei Shao: when he was ruthless.
He was smoking attractive when in the first episode, he took his bow and about to kill her while she was sitting inside her carriage. The intensity in his gaze. The eyebrows. The form of his lips ... yup you get it.
Of course i like him being kind too, wei shao is adorable that way.. but i guess i like my male characters not too nice ? It makes them multidimensional for me π
Thank you, it just that i might need an eye check because i see a neck there but i can't visualize what I'm supposed to be seeing. Please give me some hint if you can
Yup and he can't do nothing about it. My poor little baby Wei Yan.
Yup, based on the video you shared, the script follow the novel. Thanks for sharing. The AI voiceover irritated my ears but muting it does the trick. but it seems that that account might have access to many leaked scenes ahead of others. Ill follow it hehe π€«

2) my hypothesis here. It seems there there will be a scene that Peter will have the opportunity to flex his muscles. Thus leading our insecure Wei Lord to start on exercising in order to compete in the physical aspect. If this stands in the upcoming episodes, then you all will know why casting crew choose Peter. Let just say that he had a body fine enough to show in an underwear advertisement.
My take on why Peter Ho was casted in this show. At first I thought of keeping it to myself since i have no solid evidence to back it up but i keep on seeing message here and there and it ruins my reading experience when Im scrolling to read posts on this page. So here it comes
Her character sure isn't likable and that was intentional. She will meet her right end. Wait for it.

It's like everyone is saying that the meal is delicious and we have no idea what they are having π
