I wish they'd spent the time they spent on Nara on showing us more of Lomfon. I really can't get attached to him with what little we've seen of him. I might have felt differently, then.

As for the punch, it's true that Lomfon's been pushing Patts' buttons so I can't really blame him. I'm hoping it won't be too excessive and dramatic so Patts doesn't look entirely out of control...

My one hope left is for them not to break up unnecessarily. I think I would have a hard time continuing to root for them, then, so definitely I'm hopeful that those scenes from the trailer we haven't seen yet are indicative of them staying by each other's side.

Ah, so the reasons why you still like it just as much now are the same ones that have put me off the series a bit. It's fun. I'm heavily invested in Step by Step that is receiving its fair amount of criticisms as well, it's interesting to see what works for some and is a complete turn off for others. For me, what I like from the soulmate trope is the inevitabilty of it all. No matter how much they try to resist it, they can't. The show going in another direction through Lomfon isn't working for me. I like the most unrealistic part of it in that sense 😅

I'm so happy with how this is unfolding. I had really high expectations and this was exactly what I was hoping for. Not only super fun and light but the ML is already whipped.

I've never been more grateful for a weekend to actually go by quickly. Looks like I'm gonna need to refrain from coming here though if we're about to get episode 11 spoiled 🙁

I can't recall the trailer at this point so definitely I forgot that we already knew but I'm just disappointed by how slow it's getting. I thought the pace had been really good so far. We've been tuned into Lomfon's point-of-view for a while now without any kind of progress. He's been making annoying comments here and there and looking upset off to the side, raising the tension at a snail's pace. I also think I haven't been given any particular reason to even like Lomfon which is why I don't have as much patience for him. I don't expect any sort of revelation the way you are but I'm happy to be surprised! I do think maybe my interest will perk back up once he lets go of Tai and realizes what's right in front of him. I just hope it doesn't take all of the remaining episodes... And to be honest, I'm biased as the soulmate trope is one of my absolute favourites so Lomfon getting in the middle of it was never gonna fly with me 😅

As for the rest, like you said Nara coming in was tiresome. I also found the whole thing about how Patts and Tai knew each other before pointless (even taking into account what they're predictably going with that) but that's another issue entirely. I haven't liked the weird interactions we've been given lately, like Tai and Nara, Patts and Tai's older brother, that long apology scene between Patts and Nara, and even the way Tai and Patts made up last week was so strange. That's possibly entirely a me thing, and I get that.

Also, a big reason why I'm not looking forward to next episode is that punch from the preview, but we'll have to wait and see how that pans out. That being said, there's still three episodes left and at the end of the day I've only really not liked the last two, so technically I could still end up liking it again by the end. I hope that's the case, they're very cute and I do really like Thian as well, so I hope he and Lomfon can figure everything out together. I'm glad you're still enjoying it! My expectations shot through the roof during the first few weeks so feeling let down two weeks in a row hits harder, that's on me, still haven't learned to manage my expectations 😅

This had started out so well but the last two episodes were so disappointing... Did anything even happen in that last episode?? I was falling asleep and we didn't make any type of progress. The episodes in themselves aren't great but more than that I just really I hate the direction the story is going with Lomfon. I feel so let down compared to how much I loved the first half of this series. I'll watch until the end since we're getting near but judging from the preview I have very low expectations for next week's episode, as well.

Oooh the trailer is definitely intriguing. I'm glad to see Film will be doing a much different role from Thian!

That's fair, not everyone has a soft spot for more sensitive and vulnerable characters, if you can say that, especially when it comes into play in a professional setting, I tend to love them. And you're totally right about Pat's change in behaviour, that's absolutely why I understand his reaction!

I agree, that scene was so long and I don't know what they were trying to say. I also feel like maybe it's an issue of novel to short series, because we haven't seen that much of Ae to be feeling any sort of way about her birth, especially when she suddenly showed up with a huge bump out of nowhere. Just like they've showed glimpses of Beam being in love with Ae but it's not going anywhere. Like, maybe when reading the novel and having more story surrounding Pat's friends I would feel more connected to them and care but because I don't, it naturally feels like the birth scene is supposed to mean something, when most probably it's not... if that makes any sense 😅

I understand to a certain extent, just like it's fun to talk about what you liked with other viewers who are enjoying it, I guess it's fun for some people too to discuss what you didn't like with others who feel the same way but then just drop the series, then... Very much not fun looking forward to the comment section only to find straight up hate all over. I wish there could be two separate comment sections 😅

Wait, oh my god, I have more to say. Like objectively, the pacing was so off that it ruined the episode, and I'm not entirely delusional, I do realize there was a lot that didn't work in this episode (I personally don't really get Jaab and the birth scene was painfully strange), but the reason why I'm so ready to overlook all that is because of all the actual really great things we did get. Jeng sobbing over how much he likes Pat, as I've already mentioned that's my personal favorite, but also the birthday cake at the office scene, them facing each other, the tension, that was poetry, are you kidding me? Pat telling Jeng to stop texting him, to stop inviting him out to eat, and to stop taking him home, that was crazy in the best way possible. Pat who doesn't understand why Jeng's acting that way and who is getting so confused. Ahhhhhh.... I love it. Also, Pat's parents banter was so cute. I want more healthy relationships of divorced characters. Okay, now I'm done...

When Jeng confesses to liking Pat, Pat's answer is that "it doesn't make sense". That's what he's referring to.

No, but it could be. I guess it's on the one hand the acting, that I don't mind, and on the other hand that they don't understand his current behaviour, which I do, so... 🤷‍♀️

I so wish we got Pat's reaction to Jeng's text. I mean, "It makes sense to me" is the most romantic shit Jeng's said to Pat so far. That hit me like a ton of bricks 💔

For anyone who's been complaining about Ben's acting, while I agree that he pales in comparison to Man, I thought he did really well in this episode! The one thing I'll definitely agree to complain about is the timeline and pacing, especially today. The passing of time was ridiculously confusing and some scenes were way too long. But man, despite the hate that Pat is getting (hate that I'm struggling to understand, by the way), I love him, and I love Jeng, and their chemistry is why they're on my mind so often and why I'm here every week. Oh god, I have to wait another week... I'm gonna be living off that preview.

Time to finally watch season 1, then 😌
