I’m guessing this is one of the latest 2 episodes I didn’t watch yet. So I’ll take a guess at it for fun, and feel free to correct me if I’m wrong. The pin has been a thing for years that he didn’t think on changing, and likely didn’t see it as a big deal since it was something he instinctively remembers by now as a passcode and not a symbol of his past relation. Not to validate it, just a guess why that’s still a thing.

Are you their second account? Lol, i refuse to believe there’s anyone else blindsided to think that’s what actually happened. Did you even watch what you’re speaking up on or simply riding off something they falsely relayed that happened? I advise you do so, then correct yourself.

2. You can feel however way you please about the addiction, you didn’t go through it, but mentioned being around someone or those who fortunately haven’t experienced it in this severity . Here’s something that may shock you, not everyone acts/suffers the same through addiction, can you believe that? Was that experience you been around supposed to invalidate me or anyone else’s experience that’s quite literally documented and available to anyone looking to educate themselves on this matter?

3. Did you also agree with them falsely relaying what was happening in the series to try and get their point across? Since that was the initial point of my responses? You also believed that’s what happened when it clearly wasn’t , and even “she” tried to duck from instead of addressing?

4. I don’t care what you liked or not lol, let’s not go down a rabbit hole of ignorance. Your own surrounding doesn’t reflect every single person that suffered from drug addiction and took their own lives. I’ve been through a similar experience myself and looked well enough into it to figure out how to handle it when i was, there’s a reason your narrow belief on this is invalid, it’s that simple. Your “opinion” isn’t an opinion, you claimed something that isn’t valid to claim, saying what isnt realistic as if it’s a fact when it isn’t. Learn what opinions are, and do what i advised them as well, before speaking on any of this. Thanks for the input nonetheless.

Mm, those senseless responses are getting in the way of valid discussions and wasting my time in reading, so I’ll shut down the reaching and be done with this. Fiction is fiction, it doesn’t have to adhere to what you believe the lengths a fiction should go. By textbook definition and the history of all fiction, you’re simply wrong on all fronts of it’s depiction.

You’re wrong about how addiction effects people in the real world as well, and you tried to exaggerate things that were happening in the drama when it was far from any of that. I’ll advise you do actual research or get in touch with people that’s actually been through it or been around it. Because i and many others have, and what you’re blabbering on about is nothing but clear ignorance just for the sake of not feeling like you’re wrong when you know you are. Enjoy the drama or dont, just refrain from reaching out of your own knowledge on something to take craps on it and become hardheaded the second someone corrects you. This was never our opinions being discussed, try not to resort to the “discredit my opinion” next time when someone’s simply correcting stuff you’re falsely relaying happened in the series. I’d specify it under identifying. But there’s several possibilities, management there not allowing cameras installed outside of their apartments, jjk realizing it wouldn’t help much because who would show up identifiable to his steps to force drugs on him , it possibly already being a thing and shown later to get him nowhere, or simply a plot hole.

My guess??? Just a plot hole lol. I don’t believe it would help him at all considering the situation and where he’s at. He’s seen plenty of faces and know plenty of people already that he can’t get a hold of or get enough info from. So I wouldn’t think on it much.

You know, i happened to peek at your list out of curiosity. For someone with seemingly great taste in dramas, idk where the hell you went wrong here lol. Not only do you not understand that misconceptions from the audience would require an audience to not understand how fiction works, you’re also unnecessarily stubborn just because someone’s opposing your perspective on this.

Do you also watch fantasy dramas and shake your head at the misinformation that Asians can fly or possess supernatural strength? The lack of realism there is absurd , surely.

Fiction isn’t a shortcoming just because you find it too unbelievable, especially when believability isn’t even the issue here, it’s your narrow perspective of the real world and blatantly false nitpicking. Claiming I’m wrong on everything else but not being able to defend yourself on any of those fronts speaks for itself champ. You were wrong and don’t want to look back on any of them to acknowledge it.

Eh, i think you’re reaching for things that weren’t the case here, and i heavily doubt you experienced addiction or been around anyone struggling with it. Nor did any sort of research to come to those conclusions.

There was no “super strength” involved with the guys fighting over the pill lol, they simply went for it when they were able to, you say that like they broke free from their handcuffs or some shackles.

The woman didn’t run into incoming traffic “for a pill”. She clearly wasn’t in her right state of mind and overreacted from the embarrassment she felt with her daughter seeing her at that current moment fiending over the pills. If you dabble into some research, tragic occurrences like this aren’t rare enough to not believe someone could be that far gone in their addiction. Far crazier things has happened in the real world under the influence and withdrawal. Let’s not make this fictional scene seem too far fetched from reality.

I’ll reiterate, this drama is fiction. The drug they’re basing the plot around, is made up and shouldn’t be compared to how any other hard drug works. Whatever they want that drug to be, how quick they want people to be hooked on it, however long they want it to last in somebody’s system , and the duration of it’s high, they can do. Making something they created, creative, shouldn’t be seen as some shortcoming lol.

Agree and disagree. This is easily among the top in cinematography as far as technical standards of cdramas go, so that falls under your preference.

While i personally rate higher from my own experience, i find 8.3-.4 more fitting in general as well, had it been a more critical site than Mdl. I don’t find a drama of that score difference worth arguing semantics over when there’s mediocre with eye candy that predominantly sits at the very top here and we accept it as the norm .

I live for Queen Dowager praise, stole the show for me as well. Most looked at me crazy as i raved about her helplessly upon finishing the drama. I could go on and on about the mesmerizing complexity behind her character’s composure and actions.

Accounts as tucked away as yours intrigues me. Very expressive and gives off the experience of drama veterans but shows none of it past a comment here and there lol. I appreciate the very well put together read nonetheless!

Well, those 8 hours flew by. Might watch another episode or just catch up to the latest one and leave it there until the rest is out. Few things.

- A perfect pilot episode of this genre, not nearly enough credit is given there.
- Ji Sung, how we missed you. A master class performance complimented by a top notch script. Its been since what? Doctor John?
- For anyone curious of the atmosphere and chemistry here, if you’ve watched Stranger(chemistry) or Beyond Evil(atmosphere), you’re in for some nostalgia.

Comments mentioning Stranger and now Dr. John praise , hell i’m sold.

Not gonna lie, i think some of y’all give way too many flowers to directors that don’t deserve it. It’s a simple check of their previous work that tells me all i need to know. And from that, the writer is what solely put One Spring Night and Something in The Rain in a level of their own. And they haven’t put anything out that took away that quality. Albeit, those were all they made so far.

The director, however, has had many other dramas. And the majority of them have crashed solely because of the writers’ ineptness. And this director specifically, not being able to make more out of them.

I agree there’s clearly an aesthetic and similar directional themes that’s a pattern with his work. The rest I believe falls solely on the capabilities of the writers he works with.

The writers make the difference in the overall quality with this director. The director’s delivery on aesthetics and tone are the only things identifiable.

Champ you care to settle down a bit? Your words hold no weight to anyone else if you haven’t noticed. Just because you weren’t that fond of the drama doesn’t mean spout your opinion at others like they’re facts when they aren’t. If you don’t think it’s worth a sequel, don’t give it any time of day. Others that do, will. Differing opinions, mind blowing.

? Half of the reviews there are practically taking turns pissing on the drama. Just read them, if still not convinced then watch and form your own opinion.

Thanks for this quick overview of your issue with it. I despise that type of characterization as well. And unfortunately dramas set in this period are flooded with it. I peeped about 10 mins of the first ep and already seen some inept direction as a sign of it. Will likely still try it out for the performances.
