If I may suggest, since the review is about the series, the names that mentioned should be in accordance with the series as well as not to confuse the series viewers who haven't read the novel.

RLZ was an expert who had gone through many doors so he basically could assist new players that he thought could be assisted.
His team members were people he chose by himself to join Obsidian. [It wasn't mentioned explicitly tho]
He never said about himself while inside the door, always said that he was a low level passer-by.
As for the door, although it's on the same level, the setting could be different especially after what happened on the first door [it was explained on episode 8 and 9]

My personal opinion : This is the scariest door with the most touching background story about the door god, also quite funny.
