Even Avenuex was yapping about the 2nd FL getting less time.I MEAN LIKE ANYONE OF US WANTS TO SEE HER🤡💀
I think 2nd FL did a good job portraying the character, which really didn’t have that much appearances in the book either. That said, it’s nice to dose the audiences with just the right amount of green tea, not to marinate them in it.
Funny that LSS was terrified of "birds" considering she's a Phoenix descendant herself HAHAHAHKidding aside, how…
I am not sure if we got to that yet in the drama. Some had suggested the thread the fox was missing was in her possession. Take it with a grain of salt.
In the book, she fell down a valley when she was 8 and was saved by LSS’s dying mother, who looked after her and sent her home on a flying jade flute. On her way out of the valley, she run into LSS’s dying father, who upon recognizing the flute, asked that she help to deliver a silk brocade bag, containing the thread of love and the scale, to the valley’s owner, LSS’ mother. She saw her unfortunate fate in the scale and decided she could make better use of these things instead.
at what point does our FL realize she truly loves our ML? Asking ambiguously because of the different character…
I think this takes a subjective view, depending on the reader’s interpretation of the subtle messages in the book. We see what we want to see sort of thing…
tl;dr In the epilogue, she said this in the epilogue, which summarized their relationship well:
"Long time ago there wasn't love. Back then I was always plotting against him, and he had his ulterior motives. Then I loved him, but we have missed each other in life. "
In the human realm, as YXW, she was hell bend on her mission. The only time I could recall that the book explicitly spelled out her heart was wavering was via a flashback of the time when she received the wedding veil he hand sewed for her.
When she went blind and suffered excruciating pain, she begged him for the first time had hope he would pity her and give her the cure to ease her pain.
When she was standing on top of the tower with YBC, she waited for his answer with a small glimpse of hope, “even if it was was just to stick it to her sister”. The book went on to describe her smiled with a sense of relief upon hearing his answer, and told him the following, which would seem to reflect more of her moral character than that of an unhappy wife.
“Don’t you think everyone owe you. Remember this, I don’t ever owe you anything! For the 6 nails in your heart, I endured the pain of the flower.
You killed my brother, abandoned my grandmother, manipulated me to kill [XL], banished me to endless darkness. The love you had poured into making the veil, consider it in exchange…for my eye.
I take your evil bone, and in return I give you my immortal marrow (or essence?). You and I will no longer owe each other anything.”
But, when they met 500 years later, she told him to bugger off when he tried to rekindle their relationship, and blasted at him for favoring YBC. She was very upset. Why would she be though, if she felt nothing at all? When he became insanely jealous of the tears and sadness she had for ML's reincarnated character, no one understood but her. She opened her mouths, about to say something, but then held back - she was still determined not to be involved with him in any shape or form.
Much happened in the immortal realm. They experienced life and death, another round of dream state, etc. Later, she learned all the things he had done for her as YXW and as LSS, she started to embrace her feeling for him. And when he ultimately sacrificed himself for her and the world, she was utterly in love with him.
In the book, YXW received a bead from the ancient god which would generate 9 nails that would end TTJ’s evil…
Yes. To have one thread of love, you know to love other. To have two threads of love, others will be attracted to you. YBC had two...she took what Susu's father meant for Susu's mother. That's why someone as emotionless as TTJ could feel "like" toward her and emulated XL on how to like her. After YWX died, under tortured, TBC gave it all up, but she also blamed TTJ for his own doing responsible for YWX's demise. He tortured her and had her confined in some sort of jar. She died 6 months later.
In the book, YXW received a bead from the ancient god which would generate 9 nails that would end TTJ’s evil…
No...I don't recall. But the drama has her coming back to rekindle her relationship with, presumably, XL's reincarnated character. Not sure how that is going to pan out.
In the book, YXW received a bead from the ancient god which would generate 9 nails that would end TTJ’s evil…
tl;dr: It happened at the tower.
The two sisters plotted against each other - both of them told TTJ’s brother that the other woman was more important to TTJ, and that’s why they were both been kidnapped.
In the days leading up to the tower event, YWX was disheartened, for many reasons. Nothing came out of TTJ’s mouth was true to his heart. She would not know that he had saved her grandmother. For her, he was twisted and cruel. She was confined in the cold palace, her health deteriorated. The power of the flower was disappearing, her eyes went completely blind, and she lived in excruciating pain and total darkness. For the first time, she begged TTJ. She wanted this flower he was gifted by the neighboring country, which had the power to cure all pain. He brushed it off, telling her she was not worthy. In private, he did prepare the flower for her,. YBC saw it and guessed his intentions. She staged a very elaborate plan, pretending an elite army once commanded by XL came to rescue YWX while assassinating TTJ at the same time. She went so far as to jump in front of TTJ and took an arrow for him. Of course, the only cure for her “sacrifice” would be the flower YWX asked for. TTJ allowed it, leaving YWX in perpetual pain.
YXW didn’t give up after she failed to penetrate TTJ’s heart with all 9 nails. She thought long and hard, and came up with a new plan, one that wouldn’t require her to kill him, and it had to happen at this particular day and time to be successful.
Standing on the tower, before hearing TTJ choosing to save YBC, YWX actually had a small glimpse of hope, even if to just stick it to her sister. Upon hearing his words, she felt a sense of relief. It’s over. She smiled, with not even a slither trace of anger.
“Don’t you ever think that everyone owe you. Remember this, I don’t ever owe you anything! For the 6 nails in your heart, I endured the pain of the flower for you.
You killed my brother, abandoned my grandmother, manipulated me into killing [XL], banished me to endless darkness. The love you had poured into making the veil, consider it in exchange…for my eye.
I take your evil bone, and in return I give you my immortal marrow (or essence?). You and I will no longer owe each other anything.”
Then she did what MY tried to do for SJ in the show, successfully. Her physical body fell off the tower. TTJ tried in vain to catch her. The curtain had closed on YWX.
i have just 2 questions: why ttj saves ybc on the tower and when his love line (exact moment) is developed?
In the book, YXW received a bead from the ancient god which would generate 9 nails that would end TTJ’s evil bones. All she had to do was to find ways to evoke his emotions, and that’s what she did, including running away several times to provoke him. He fell for her, harder and harder, unable to bear being away from her.
YXW asked to be queen as a mean to force her sister to show her true colors. TTJ agreed, against the better political judgement of his advisors and his countrymen. His reason? “That’s what she wanted…”
Two days before the wedding, YBC responded by informing her their grandmother had been held hostage by TTJ’s brother, knowing that YXW would disregard the wedding and leave the palace on a rescue mission. TTJ was angry, but followed her, fearing for her safety. They were ambushed by a trap set up by YBC, pretending to assassinate TTJ. The latter shielded YWX with his own body against the attack. That moment, his strong emotions evoked the formation of the final nails needed to end his evil bones. YXW seized the opportunity and sent the nails into his heart, while he was still holding her, protecting her. (She failed as he was protected by the scale YBC gave him in advance). You can imagine the betrayal he felt. In the days and months followed, he hated her yet still loved her, cared for her yet tortured her. He bonded his life with hers using a magic bracelet - 7 days apart and they would both die. It was also meant to help protecting her. He was relieved momentarily thinking he would not have to worry about waking up to the news that she disappeared again.
When she was kidnapped, he rushed to the scene the next days for a trip that normally would take three days. Yet, his pride got the better of him. When his brother asked which one he wanted to save, he said YBC’s name, fully confident he would be able to save both. He would regret it the next 500 years.
So TJJ and YWX are gonna retain their memories from the dream arc. So the same happens with YBC and XL right?…
In one of the interviews, Bai Lu indicated it brought TTJ and YWX closer. I can’t remember the exact wording she used. The trailers are showing him showering her with presents and her calling herself “daughter-in-law” in front of TTJ mom’s memorial.
In the book, tons of awkwardness on the spot all around after they got out. In the dreams state, YWX kissed TTJ without consent and touched his junk by accident while searching for sarira on his body to purify the Mo river. They didn’t do the deed as in the drama. XL wasn’t YWX’s brother and his character fell deeply in love with her. He drew a clear line between the dream state and reality, and very quickly resumed his righteous self. YBC was fully aware what her character did was dodgy and apologized profusely to YWX. But YWX gained a new level of respect from her friends, which didn’t sit very well with YBC. Events after the dream arc slowly drew more and more emotion from TTJ, as he fell harder and harder for YWX. The latter focused more on the mission at hand, and hardly reciprocated his rather twisted way of love.
Wait I am confused… on ep 4, did TJ always liked YBC?
Going by the book, it’s an illusion. She has in her possession something that helps her to attract the opposite sex, including someone as emotionless as TTJ. He thinks he does, and he emulates others on how to like her.
