Thankfully this starts airing just as My Stand-In finishes or I'm not sure how I'd cope 🤣 Out of interest does anyone happen to know if the novel has been (fully) translated? I've been looking but have only found the first six chapters. Thanks either way!
...I wish this had been a full series :( I want more lol (already re-watched it!) On the plus side, 4 Minutes is gonna be amazing. These two are wonderful actors.
I feel like crying a little tbh. I'd given up on ever seeing a historical or wuxia danmei adaption again, let alone an uncensored one...😢 Thanks so much to both Taiwan and Thailand for helping to adapt these beautiful novels <3
I think this could well be one of the best k-dramas of the year tbh...it's so fast-paced and addictive (and I'm only on episode 3). I feel we really have been spoiled with so many excellent political dramas this year lol.
Thai culture is absolutely wonderful and really interesting (as a Chinese culture lover I was impressed by the…
I completely agree with you. I fell head over heels in love with Chinese storytelling back during the lockdown, in particular, historical dramas and wuxias. I've found Chinese culture beyond beautiful and emotive and their storytelling all so very compelling (not to mention the humour! My lord does China know it's comedy! I've laughed so hard I've had actual panic attacks). In terms of literature I have a list longer than my forearm of novels from there I'd love to read - and some of those are well over 10k pages long! In the last year of so I've been looking more into Thai dramas and..., honestly, just wow. I didn't think anywhere could equal my love of Chinese storytelling but here I am. I just wish that we could have more Thai dramas or movies in historical setting really as I loved this movie to bits. Too interesting.
My lord are these two of the most beautiful women I've ever seen in my life... Usually, I tend to gauge my enjoyment of a new drama by if I want to re-watch the first episode. As I just re-watched this I guess that means I loved it lol. With both this and Love Bully I feel somewhat spoiled with getting into GL dramas right now - especially as (I think?) Blank's final episode will air this weekend. For once it seems I have perfect timing 🤣❤️🌹 I couldn't be happier to see so many mature and interesting GL dramas being aired currently. And I hope for many, many more xxxx
Ah, now that was a fun quiz! A Tale of Thousand Stars won out, closely followed by Not Me, (and you made me choose between Midnight Museum and Not Me 🤣oh dear. I had to go with Not Me as I rated it higher).
Yeah, unfortunately thsts the rule i set. I cant wait tobsee them too especially 4 minutes and Century of love.you…
No worries, it's all in good fun :). 4 Minutes is a BL then? I didn't realise but then I was putting off watching Spaceless until next month. Either way it sounds really interesting. Kai, off to check out the other games!
The Hidden Moon it would seem, and I'm not arguing with that. My #2 would probably be Century of Love (if gets translated) but it went toe to toe with The Hidden Moon and lost in the first round lol - by game rules my second pick would be 4 Minutes. That was a fun game thank you <3
Ah nice, and not too long to wait either. Only a couple of weeks... For some reason (I blame the heatwave where I live) I seem somewhat addicted to horror anthologies after finding a couple of older dramas. From the trailer this one looks great <3 Also, I agree with several people below, that poster is amazing.
I'm pretty sure I read some of the manga some time ago (I can't remember much, just that it was sweet and pleasant). Sometimes it's nice to have a wholesome story about two likeable characters without troupes or dramatics thrown in. As I've been meaning to check out some more j-BLs (I love the ones I've seen so far) I think your review has convinced me to check this out so thanks :). I'll add it to the list I'm making for myself.
why ppl can't take things that they can't change at face value? you don't like miscommunication?, right? is valid…
Oh, definitely this. So much. I hate toxic relationships, but if I'm interested enough to watch a drama with one in (like with My Stand-In), I'll just accept something isn't to my liking and either enjoy the rest or the story or move on. There's no point complaining over an established plot point. But as this seems to be very well received from the first episode (and I want the last episode of Blank to air before starting it) I'll check this one :). Very new to GLs so I hope it's amazing.
If this and The Sign don't get a 2nd season, I will riot. I know The Sign has a special episode coming out? but…
I *think* IDF is meant to be (finally!) airing The Sign's special episode in a couple of days but I might be wrong. It's been out "unofficially" for a couple of weeks if you don't want to wait (I think it's the "cut" version but I'm not sure. If you go to "The Sign Special Episode Encore"'s page (or something like that) there should be links to it. I Feel You Linger in the Air - definitely! They didn't even get to the story arc I liked the most from the novel :(. But I agree these three deserve a second season so *fingers crossed*.
I was not too fond of the ending either and it's the only reason I didn't rate MM higher. But I still loved the drama overall and I think I'll re-watch it at some point. Why do so many of these supernatural mystery dramas never seem to get second seasons? This, The Sign. Oh No! Here Comes Trouble, Shadow, Miraculous Brothers...so many gems in 2023 I'd love to see more of :(. But yes I'd love a second season! With the same cast if possible.
This sounds interesting. And different from other Thai shows I've seen and heard of...
Thailand really excels at both horror - and supernatural-themed dramas IMO. I can't get enough of them. Enigma is quite a unique and interesting drama to watch if you haven't seen it (and only four episodes). Sadly I'd be reliant on subtitles for this as I can't speak Thai, but if this drama's picked up on YouTube or somewhere else I'll be watching it.

It's definitely worth the read :)
