This is remarkably sophisticated for such a low budget short production. The acting was definitely superior to the usual run, the concept elevated far above the horror’s sometimes found on YouTube under weird names and I should like to see more of it..,
I’ve just finished episode 22 and I’m really enjoying it. They have had to costume and make up Zhou Qi to damp down his good looks, but it’s only partially successful 🤣 Wei Zhe Ming is enjoying himself playing completely against his usual typecast roles, the ensemble are ensembling with verve and Ding Yu Xi is really good at being human and even better at being a cat…
The part where she decided to sleep with him really made me question the writer of the novel. Then to say that…
She has spent the entire series doing things a girl wouldn’t have done in ancient China; she has ruined her reputation many times over long before. Really? After all, as soon as they were locked in the room together her reputation was shredded; any right thinking girl should have preferred death to dishonour. By your standards she should have told the villain that she was a virgin and got the guard to kill her rather than be locked into the room with Xie Wei. That was, after all, what a proper girl should have done…
