I have Lie to Love marked to watch when it comes out. Again, he is thought of as an instigator according to the summary so hope we are not in the same rabbit hole as Broker. haha. Luo is quite crushable! He's really unusual looking compared to other ML's.

I don't know. I don't like unhappy endings with some exceptions. :-) I started watching the last eps and it got more and more depressing. It didn't have to end that way, The ending was the worst of the worst.

You betcha! It is one of my favorites too! Leo and the FL are abs great. And the ending!!!!! It's definitely a re-watch. But Broker is definitely not :-)
I hope he takes a better role next time. He is so talented but badly matched with Vittoria IMO. Vittoria is better with Johnny Huang, another one of my favorites.

Watch "Love is Sweet" The best of Leo! And he gets the girl! It fun to watch and worth rewatching.

I'm with you! The ending was so precious, so beautiful, it takes some patience to appreciate what we were watching. Only 2 eps left. Both ML's were fantastic, Kim Dong Wook is especially believable and is very easy to watch, One of the best!

Darn! I've watched this all up to Ep 39. Now that I know that Xiao Shan dies at the end, I am dropping it. The whole drama went spiraling all the way down to the end. New phony melodrama moments were inserted in order to stretch out the number of episodes.

Also a lot of Chinese propaganda was inserted in the drama - reminds me of the Youtube reruns of WW2, where a lot of American propaganda was inserted in the films!

Also from watching C-dramas, there seems to be a strong moralistic tone to them: Xiao Shan can't live because he did something wrong, even if he changed his mind. This is also true with Lover or Stranger. The "bad" must be punished. This is totally outdated.

From now on, maybe I'll wait until the ending to watch C-Dramas, or read MDL posts.

I am on Ep 39 of Broker and reading the spoiler comments it looks like another bad ending in Broker so if I had known, I would never have even started it!
It is badly written and badly directed and good actors can't save a drama from those two issues.

My suggestion, don't watch Broker. It is spiraling all the way to the bad end.

Me too! The next time Vittoria is in a drama, I"ll wait until all the episodes are finished and then I'll watch the last episode. Sounds bad right? :-)

If you want to feel good about Leo Luo, watch "Love is Sweet" He is darling in it and worth a rewatch. I'm watching it for the 2nd time. He acts lost in Broker. I don't think it was a good match IMO.

You mean like in Lover or Stranger? That had an open ending that was stupid These would be 3 dramas where Vittoria was in dumb open ending dramas:

Well I think she needs to build up her confidence, her self esteem is neg. I don’t know if her being alone would accomplish that. She needs some help and JE needs to communicate much better if he really likes her.

I agree, JE is the right partner for her. DH is just a nice placeholder. JE should have told Nabi that his ex-girlfriend had left for good. That could have cleared everything up for her. They don't have good communication even though they like each other a lot.

I think she has a very low self esteem and that stops her from all sorts of decisions. She's stuck, liking JE, can't put her emotions into her art, just stuck. Wakeup and decide NB.

Fully agree with you Lisa! DH is not the right person for her. JE is. He understands her and I do believe they both like each other very much. However he should have explained to her that his ex-girlfriend was gone but didn't. Hope it ends well, nevertheless!

Sadly in most of the C-dramas I've seen, there is a lot of propaganda. Reminds me of the WW2 films I watch on Youtube - flag waving, "chest pounding" etc. However, they do touch on interesting subjects: Bioscience, computers, fashion, etc - subjects that K-dramas don't cover too much. The most recent, "You are my Glory" about space travel.

My favorite C-drama actors are Hans Zhang, Johnny Huang (sp?), and of course the current ML. They are different from K-dramas for sure. Try Love is Sweet, you won't regret it.
I live in the US and I don't think the country is America - to me it is maybe some Eastern European country....don't know. What I find weird, is that there are so very few timed comments, you know the one on the top/left of our the screen. Wonder why. Maybe no one is watching or maybe they are watching so closely that they don't comment.
