I'm 24 episodes in rn and trying to keep going because everyone talks about how good this show is. But honestly? The first 20 episodes are very boring and hard to get through, even with 2x speed. The main leads are visibly very old-looking even though they're supposed to be 15-24 age range. Its very hard to look through that lmao. But the show is picking up a bit and getting better

I feel they went a little overboard with the crazy family drama and all these plot twists. Because of all that we hardly got to see any romantic development of the main leads, even though they have such good chemistry😭 A shame, but still a really good kdrama, 8/10

It did confuse me at times that IU played both the role of Ae-Sun and of her daughter, but once you get used to it: beautiful kdrama

Honestly would've prefered if they did lol. She's the daughter of a noble family, one of the King's most trusted men, it doesn't make sense to me why they didn't (want) to get married when they easily could have. The problem during most of historical drama's is that due to political reasons it's impossible for them to marry, but now that it's not the case, the writers still don't go for it?

Yess, the King's Affection was so good and really fooled me at times! I feel like this actress got screwed over with the script too. The character just didn't have any depth

Imo, the fun of a gender switch drama is the reveal and her going back to live as a woman of some kind. I kept waiting for that moment but it never came. She lived and dressed as a man for 99% of the drama. The FL is not even trying to look like a man it's just laughable, and her acting in this is one-dimentional. Love the actor of the ML but feel like this drama didn't do justice of his talent, a shame.

Really wasted my time with this. It's waiting for a couple to develop but them not going anywhere from beginning to end. The FL is really smart but other than that has no personality or non-serious qualities at all. The king lost all his fun personality traits after episode 4 and turned boring too. Even the execution of the storyline is weak even though on paper it sounds interesting

I cannot believe I never knew there's an original version of this, the Chinese drama from 2011!! I just watched it and its absolutely fantastic. The storyline is different enough so it feels not the same as the Korean one, which makes it even better. Absolutely loved it

The original show is a cdrama, i highly recommend the original one because in that one they dont switch between weird genres like comedy and suddenly melodrama and such. And that way you'll also see why IU got casted, they look very similar. But the whole point of the show is to see the contrast of a modern girl in this time period and slowly seeing her character development

So so glad I discovered this, I never knew the original was actually a cdrama!! The storyline is just different enough from the Korean one so you can't predict it, but its so so good <3

Kota’s character is kinda cringe, almost unbearably so the first few episodes, but it ended up being quite a cute drama. Maybe 6,5/10, it’s fun to watch in a day since its very short

Absolutely loved it! Especially because of the FL. She was cute yet mature and humble. No unnessessary drama or love triangles.
Though at times it did feel like a big commercial for the game, aerospace engineering and national pride😂 I didn’t mind it though because the couple was so great

Anybody able to recommend some BLs with the same standard as Kinnporsche? I see a lot of new BLs coming out recently but i’m not sure which ones are any good

MileApo have a period BL-movie called ManSuang coming out soon, and i’m pretty sure they’ll make another drams together in the future, but for now Kinnporsche is the first and only drama of them together
