Loved seeing Choi Yu Ri "grow up" before my eyes. Excellent choices all around. Unless they add 1 particular elder actor and this isn't, thankfully, his type of genre.
I really don't know what to say about Connection. I'm stuck at ep 12 after thinking naw, not tonight...again last night. I have to focus on it.
Now, Miss Night and Day and My Sweet Mobster are so refreshing and both send me to bed with a smile. The majority of dramas tagged as comedy or humorous don't affect me with spontaneous laughter like these 2 have done.
If there's one thing I've learned about S Korean dramas is that no country is better than any other country because…
Same. I don't like the drinking bits either. I think the majority of viewers outside of the country view it the same way. I just don't see why ranting about it is going to change their culture or their laws. The drinking has become a trope unto itself. It's lazy writing, and by adding those scenes into practically every drama, it condones it and cements the drinking culture. Writers have more responsibility than they want to acknowledge. They could be a huge help in changing it.
The problem I'm having is the inconsistency of the writer. Min Ji, in her late 20s, hasn't landed a civil servant job because she's lacking, while her older self, Im Sun, has so many varied accomplishments as to render her a jack-of-all-trades.
Also, no one close to Aunt Im Sun thinks the body switched Im Sun looks like Aunt Im Sun, and her pics don't look like her either, so why bother throwing in a past colleague "recognizing" Im Sun.
I've never ever ever ever shipped the male lead with the female lead apart from a drama. The interaction between Im Sun and Ji Ung, though, is off the charts. Or it could just be Choi Jin Hyuk;s acting with his micro expressions. He's smitten!!!
Lately I’ve enjoyed starting a drama that is finished because I hate playing the game waiting for dramas to…
Oh Yes Ma'am it's SO worth it. This and My Sweet Mobster are my happy places. Both are SO refreshing, and unique (for a change). Of course the same tropes are there, as always, but they have a unique spin on them. I don't like waiting for next episodes either. I've been waiting until 2 of the newsest are out before watching. I can't do one at a time.
One thing I don't understand, Imsul old colleague remembered her face, The colleague was certain she was the same…
Thing is, she doesn't look like the aunt, her mother's sister. So the colleague scene shouldn't have been included at all. We've seen pics of the aunt and she doesn't look like Im Sun. Forcing that narrative was a waste of time.
This drama shows again how wrong and bad Koreans are with drinking. It's depicted in numerous dramas. To me, it's…
If there's one thing I've learned about S Korean dramas is that no country is better than any other country because no country is perfect. S Korean dramas are based on S Korean culture. Their laws are their laws. As much as we "hate" certain aspects of it they are the ones who live with it. No amount of moaning and groaning is going to change S Korean culture or laws. We, however, can either watch with this in mind, or not watch if it assaults the sensibilities.
KHA, acting is so predictable and old that now it isn't even fun anymore. She hasn't changed a bit in terms of…
I'm on ep 5, and have already wondered if she chose to act the way she did with the taking "breaths and act shocking and then shivers" with her mouth, or if she was directed to do so. It's contrary to the strong fierce politician that her character is supposed to be. It doesn't support the writer's intention that the character has unquestionable backing in her political position. It looks sniveling and lacks the self confidence the person holding the position would have, and really became annoying by the ep I'm on. Has she portrayed this specific behavior in her other works?
they should do something unusual like people wanting to escape to the north because they wanted by the south for…
Kind of like stepping over a small fire right into hell. Doesn't sound too appealing. I'd watch.

I'd put off watching Tracer (both seasons) until this month June 2024 bc I thought it would be too boring if it was heavy on the tax theme. I regret not watching ot sooner. Your review is so short, so right on point without any unneccessary words.
I liked Yim Si Won in other roles, even though his acting didn't quite hit it for me. In Tracer (both "seasons") I absolutely have a new respect for his acting. For me, this is his finest role which brought him totally out of any restraint he might have placed upon himself. I was thrilled to see him toss the shackles and let it all go, bringing forth a new level for him. I don't know why I waited until June 2024 to watch this. Scratch that last sentence...taxes. The drama is about taxes, and numbers are boring (unlike how 2 of my daughters who are accountants think of them). BUT, for anyone considering watching, please do. I was engrossed the entire time, and used the back button often so I wouldn't miss a single thing.
Aigoo ep 1, what is going on with the fathers 😡😤 . The kids are doing a f pretty job at acting and making…
I finished early early this morn, and I'm going to dare say you're going to love it. It has so much depth. I read the Recent Discussions above the Comment section and those by TamzinMillemni were paticularly interesting AND inciteful. I haven't felt the need to rewatch a drama right after the first viewing; I usually wait 2 or 3 year, but this demands it, especially after reading the RD.
I was quite surprised that so many Yoo Ah In scenes were left intact in the drama. If his scenes were edited to lessen his exposure, then wow, he originally had an extreme presence.
My problem is I don't know the best sites of illegal sites vesus the worst illegal sites. Anyone can DM me of those they know for a fact are the best (more secure) sites.
