I had a thought this morning and it probably is completely off base but could the person that is in the “mad…
I've thought so too, but didn't voice my opinion. The conjecture is the physique is that of a man.. Shoulders are too broad for a female. So that leaves Gil Chae out. It can't be JH. The rounded jawline is fitting the eunuch. I've questioned the camera focus on the eunuch, with his glances at times and silence at other times, alluded to him being either a spy for the King or secretly working with others to bring the King's downfall. In episode 17 tho, the eunuch laid bare his loyalty for his "hometown" so being a spy for the King went out the window. That leaves 2 possibles. RE and the eunuch. And if one wants to get really creative, throw in Jang Cheol who's hair has already started turning grey in the "present" timeline, or NYJ just because why not. It's been entertaining to read all the theories surrounding each episode.
I might give it a try after reading these, sadly I have rather bad hospital experiences that usually keep me far…
I too have had bad hospital experiences, to the point I've made sure friends and family know to not EVER take me to a hospital even if we're in a car accident. I abhor doctors in general (Apologies to any here on MDL), and carry the latest (literal) scar on my forehead due to refusing to get stitches. My dislike stemmed from working in a hospital when I was in my early 20s.
Aside from my rant, I enjoyed Daily Dose of Sunshine, so maybe you will also.
I'm pleasantly surpised that the waiting period between Part 1 & 2 is only 2 weeks! I can take that! Here I was…
I hated dramas being broken into 2 parts at first. Now, I get why. Delaying for sports, and major holidays is good (for example, pausing through Christmas and New Year's holidays), when the focus would be elsewhere, for the networks as well for the viewers.
Basic knowledge of mental health (which many viewers found unexceptable) and the portrayal of the oft known types by the general public, I found accurate (speaking from personal experience of myself, friends and loved ones). I learned a tiny bit of incite into a child's struggle 15 years prior which I wish I'd known back them.
Yes, it was simple. Yes, it did provide the most basic groundwork for possible permission for those reluctant in seeking care, and a glimpse of a friend's or loved one's ailment, however viewers shouldn't come away after 12 episodes in a drama with the knowledge of professionals. With that said, even professionals aren't all knowing, as scientists say the mind and brain are the last frontier.
Even though this is a sharp photo, I completely can’t recognize him from it. It just doesn’t look like anything…
ElBee, the majority of the photos chosen for the profiles are almost unrecognizable. For some, I've had to do a search to figure out if was who I thought it was. I've also submitted requests for change and all of the replies said "It looks just like him (her)."
Is it just a plot device or can you actually be liable for a parent taking out a loan in your name in Korea?
Taking out a loan in a family member's name has been done not just in South Korea. I know someone who has racked up over $150,000 in loans using his father's name & social security number over 20 years. His father refuses to have charges brought against him "because he's my son". Idiot father enabling the son (who is 46).
Side watching My Dearest prompted me to watch the few NamKoong Min dramas I've put on hold. I'm leaving my principles at the door and behind the FF button to get past the Lee Kyung Young's character scenes.
at first I thought that the old man was Gil Chae...
Ah, and you're right. Since Koreans don't use pronouns in conversation like "we" do, I'm skeptical of the translations. Too Korea's language, such as a simple sentence, has much more meaning , whereas the same sentence in another language would use many more words to describe the same in the Korean language. Don't know if that was clear. I've read up on it, but I'm not in any way knowledgeable on hangukmal. From what I've read, hangukmal is one of the hardest languages to speak.
Youd be surprised at the number. Why though? Maybe so they'll feel a part of the community even while not having watched any of it yet. I read a comment just yest after someone asked them why they were here (meaning the site comment section) if they hadn't watched it yet. Their answer about being a part of the community was food for thought.
Ironically I was watching Splendid Politics at the same as My Dearest and found they both were about the same…
Because of your comment, I moved it back to my Currently Watching for a rewatch. It's listed as Hwa Jung, the Princess of Light on Viki if anyone cares to watch it.
Could you mark comments which veer from a general statement as a Spoiler, please. Lots of folks haven't even started MD yet. Marking it a Spoiler will give them the choice of reading the Reveal Spoiler or scrolling on by. Thank you so much.
