Why literally every drama page I am visiting is full of negativity.Edit: for gods sake. Why these people are attacking…
leafless7, It all started about 2 years or so when MDL let the negativity start and didn't take action. The comments 2, 3, and 4 years ago were much different than they are now. It was a pleasant place to discuss dramas, movies, actresses, and actors and no negativity was involved.
Along with the negativity, the SPAM comments started under the articles and weren't deleted promptly. As for the articles, the main contributor, MDL admin, mod, or whoever posted speculative articles. Scandals, rumors and unconfirmed drama offerings by actors and actresses were left standing, even while countless Users complained that it appeared MDL was ready to take a deep dive into the tabloid/rag media type of crap.
Once a small thing is allowed, it eventually snowballs until the site is dismantled. MDL's own Terms of Use states they can shut this site down without any warning to Users.
ps. It's sad to see others attacking you and cursing you for a simple question. You're right, every page I've visited in the last few days has been overrun with negativity.
Just seperate the drama from the actor...KSH is not the only worked hard in the drama there are many other actors…
Uh, NO. EVERY drama Lee Kyung Young is cast in goes straight to my Not Interested List. No ifs, ands, or buts, or excuses about who else has been cast.
I just noticed it. Some actors with dating scandals or news have many articles, for example with Lee Jae Wook…
It highly probable it's bc this incident is on the criminal side, whereas a dating 'scandal' isn't criminal. Credible online media has been exceptionally careful in reporting this controversy with legally exempt wording. The same with MDL. No credible news media wants to be sued for libel/dafamation, and unless this goes to Court with a conviction, then they will have opened the door to a lawsuit if they reported anything but the basics of the controversy. That's why we see words such as 'alledged' and 'claims'. I haven't read any of the Dispatch to see if their wording was more direct. If it was blatant wording then I wouldn't be surprised they'd have a lawsuit filed against them.
From what I've seen, the discourse on Korean forums doesn't seem to be in his favour at all. In fact, I've seen…
Like this "안녕하세요.
After watching all this unfold infront of my eyes, I don't even know if I can trust men in real life again. Kim…
I hope this will be a wake up call for those who can't distinquish between someone's screen presense and their real life self. A good example is Lee Je Hoon's character portrayals and his real like persona in Rented In Finland.
What if everything was fabricated for him? What if the issue is bigger than this and related to politics? They…
Oni, hmm, it appears you think critically. How refreshing. Answers are NEVER simple. What we see and hear is more complicated than what we given by the media. I know this bc I had my '15 minutes' of fame back in the day, and the newspapers were so full of disinformation it was pathetic. And I wasn't even in the papers for an alleged crime.
It didn't hit me until I read the Court will rule on Yoon's impeachment sometime before next Wednesday. In the manual (let's pretend there is one), every human that faces scandals, etc turns to page 1 where it says Distraction is the best strategy. Distract with another big story, the optimum way. Using a celebrity scandal, is preferred. Someone well known. I don't think it ironic that this has blown up at this precise time. Political figures are notorious for creating or employing diversions when there's too much heat around them. Whether the diversions are true or not is of no consequence.
I'm not saying he's innocent or guilty. I don't have all the facts (not rumors, speculation, etc) as stated from an investigation or by a Court of law ruling. At this point, I don't think it matters to the general public. The damage has been done. Nothing will 'prove' anything that they don't already believe. This is seen in the real lives of ordinary folks too. It's why rumors, etc are SO damaging. As they say "once a feather pillow is cut, it's impossible to gather them." Lies and truth.
I hate that way back in 2001 there wasn't a distain of creatures like Lee Kyung Young. If there had been we wouldn't still be seeing his vile face in practically every drama. Hopefully, since he and Yoon are/were such good friends that will have an affect on it's career.
I think all the outrage from the public is largely misdirected. It SHOULD'VE been towards the lack of laws in the country, the demand that laws BE made to hold men in the patriarchal society accountable, and demand stricter prison time for crimes when a victim will carry a lifetime of trauma. This is my short list. Women in these societies enable the men, imo, bc they have been molded to accept it. I hope this might be the catalyst that's needed for the society to change.
*under a spoiler for the length*
EDITED: Then I read your comment under this and WOW. I'd hold onto my britches before all the dust settles.
Yes, the true nature of an actor or actress that portrays a totally dif persona on screen impacts viewers greatly. I enjoy watching a drama or movie, and rarely do I rewatch unless it's an older saeguk. But when I learn of someone who directly triggers my childhood trauma, I refuse to watch ANYthing they're in from that time forward. And I don't make excuses for watching like many others do.
When this was released I didn't like either the ML or the FL. I watched for Oh Jung Se only by skipping every scene that he wasn't in. The actor is a chameleon. There's not a single role of his that isn't award worthy. With that said, if his name ever comes up and is associated with vileness then he too will go into a List I made for such.
Yes, you are. LOL. The overwhelming majority of bots aren't civil in their comments such as only your first comment. How can someone be proud og being shameless? Someone without a shread of empathy or compassion, and who obviously lives a life that is so propped up by money that they don't need anything else.
