so far it's looking like a classic kdrama romcom with the marriage contract trope, and from the preview, even the living together for her 'safety'...
I would have loved a little more ingenuity in the storyline because it's all a bit too convenient for the plot.
What is definitely helping so far is that, character wise, they truly look perfect for each other.
Huiju will probably get the biggest character development, UI is great in this so i'm no worried.
'cringe' is never a bad word in kdramas, and if they are right on cue, by episode 7 the tone will become quite dramatic...
now i'm enjoying the FL getting swept off her feet by ML arc episodes 😅

aside from exactly what you all said, their last dialogue -ian and huiju - was exactly what we needed!
it's definitely a story of awakening for huiju more than ian!

she told the prince about it, how everyone wants to be near him for approval. its still power she's after.

i really thought it was the queen most probably to ruin the prince's reputation? i think the only reason the prince would leak it is only if there was a real life threat to huiji... Huiji is already proposing, he doesn't need to leak their meeting?!

valid take! we know it's her life goal through family legacy to be queen! it's clear she wishes her son and late king had the ML king-'qualities'. if there's more? i wonder if they will how us how she married! the hotel scene does seem very deliberate from the direction! she was so flustered!

she obviously wishes her son and late husband had the charisma and king-qualities that the ML has... when she mentionnes genetics, i understood right away. That's also maybe why its called perfect crown. we see in ML past and present the crown qualities. queen noticed! something else?

I did watch shows where the screentime differences were not only obvious but also really unfair... it does happen and it can be frustrating because you feel the production is using some actors. BUT this show has been incredible in how it balances the different stories. I have zero doubts the other cp will have their moments and it looks like they will have an even harder and more emotional arc
