exactly !! and its so refreshing! her epic energy in battle and desperation when trying to read the letter. I love that she is shown in a very humane, perfectly imperfect character. like having someone read the very personal letter is so symbolic. Even when she killed a huge enemy and got merits, she couldn't fully read the letter, but managed in her own capacity to blot the names. so many emotions running and displayed so wrll! it helps us connect flawlessly with her and also inspire us. Also.. is it me or in the last episode it's the first time wehear her thoughts?
this masterpiece still doesn't disappoint! still exceeding expectations! FCY's second big battle is even better than the first. the imagery and 'coming-of-age ' moment where she is literally becoming/integrating everything she is in her last blow. the reflection in the enemy's eye was such a powerful moment, and very emotional ! to see her father's bond displayed like that 🥹...
we are seeing FCY's at her worse mental state probably in ep30, TWX is extraordinary in how she's acting!
‎Until today's episodes I have no complaints. Every episode only surprised me.‎ but after watching epi 29…
i haven't read the novel but these lines are so beautiful, i also hope these lines come up later! and i understand your points!! i think for qq's escape, i'm glad they didn't put too many minutes on it, and we can assume she has ways. my bet is that it was in her rouge... i really liked the whole scenes of when she swirls in the discovery of her parents. she's still in shock from the battle, the deaths, and i love that they do give her an imperfect background like not knowing how to read well. she knew enough to hide the names and that was really powerful!! i'm amazed in how flawless FCY's evolution and portrayal is so far. TXW is amazing!!
but the marquis can only blame himself ! if she knew he was leading the battle she obviously would not have done…
how can you blame someone who literally wanted to sacrifice/risk their life for the other? 'oh i didn't ask' okay well, but the marquis is in no position to blame
The battle scene was good, but it annoys me so much that they still kept FL slim and tiny. There is no way for…
in all fairness, we did see her fly meters away everytime her opponent pushed her! and that she had to get creative to get at an advantage. her progress looks believable if we put all her fight scenes one after the other since the beginning of the show! . i somehow love the fact that so far we see her with 3 different weapons, the wood stick, the heirloom butcher knives and the hammer now
Poor guy going to battle field now half groggy..she wants to protect her husband, but he had to still cut himself…
but the marquis can only blame himself ! if she knew he was leading the battle she obviously would not have done all that! can't wait to hear how the couple will argue in the next episode about it
The fight scene between Chang Yu and Shi Hu is so freaking EPIC !! From Changyu Slitting Shi Hu body and arm to…
YES!! also, when you mention the slit, we can see her fighting skills evolve in these few scenes! if you remember early in the fight she attempts the slit against the armour and then she figures out a way to actually do it. incredible directing.
I think we entered into the better period of C-drama, where stronger FL characters are written instead of helpless…
i also thought the exact same when i was looking at the royal princess when she was waving bye bye to the strategist. all 3 ladies in this show have the'rebellious' -against their times-character compared to other characters shown in the show so far. What i find works perfectly well for Chang yu is that she naturally takes responsibility for others, not just her matrilocal husband haha! so her evolution so far doesn't look forced or scripted!
i think today's episode was so good i'm actually so shocked! the production did not skim, skip or take any shortcut to create a great battle. very immersive! ep 26 is one of the best episodes so far!
Still processing that fight scene. Definitely one of the most memorable I’ve seen.
absolutely!! and so good moments not just for chang yu!! and even the moments before, the anticipation , the fear of the squad going to field for the first time... the scene with the kid was such a powerful moment too!!
the set up looks soooo well done like a video game, it was VERY immersive!! i'm in awe! and usually i'm not a fan for war scenes!
that was legendary!!! soooo many epic scenes ðŸ˜ðŸ¥¹ i can't believe how good that was!! even the fear and the anticipation right before! oufff this episode was amazing!
ep 25 fees like a big milestone for Chang yu in her journey to leadership ! how the squad was improvising brillantly! she is such a well nuanced character on screen! not perfect with a massive dead angle, but sheer emotion, courage and leadership! she's probably my fav FL character by now 🫶
QQ also seems conflicted. She was hoping the food was sent by Qimin and when she found out it wasn’t him, she…
i thought it was the opposite for the food ! that she would not have eaten if it was from him... i think it's natural to be infatuated if she didn't know how evil his ways are. but in the early scenes where she shivered at his touch , it was really out of disdain. not even surprise... i think its also easy for someone to try and justify with his past trauma or even say ' if only he wasn't as cruel' , but his actions are nowhere justifiable.
