The very last bit of sympathy I might have felt for her died when she chose to side with the NK spies again and put a gun to Youngro's head. Just because they gave her (the illusion of) power? She has no morals whatever... and after all she's done so far, I cheer at seeing her humiliated. Because every single time, her downfall is brought on by her own stubborn stupidity and malice.

I'm really looking forward to knowing more of Suho's past! Also, I find the dynamics between the NK leaders more intriguing at this point than that of their Southern counterparts, which offers nothing new anymore.

lol Suho being the NK woman's son has little actual reason, it's just my speculation based on the writer's previous work.
But I don't trust the old man, I feel that he didn't raise Suho because he cared for him, but because he thought the boy could grow into a useful tool. After all, he promised to die for him in exchange for saving his sister

my theory is that he wouldn't mind Suho dead, because he never actually cared for him other than as a useful tool, and the boy also happens to be the biological son of his greatest enemy... so he takes special delight setting mother against son

People especially need to differentiate between shipping characters and shipping actors. Imagining all kind of "signs" and then attacking actors when their little fantasy scripts are proven false is not a good look 🤬

The guy is not entirely new - his photos were what Hanna delivered to her boss in ep1, before Kangmu's return. Seemed like a throwaway thing to illustrate that the ANSP does whatever the president asks for (like silencing the scandal of the "crown prince"), but maybe it will actually have more role in the story...

Because people expect love triangles in kdramas... she has a soft spot for Suho, but it is not necessarily romantic. One can care for a member of the opposite sex without being in love with them, especially if they went through combat together and saved each other's lives. Nothing Dr Kang did with Youngro said "jealous lover" to me, she seemed just tired with a trouble-making hostage who is too valuable to get rid of.
