I don't disagree; the show sucks, but what emotional getting together moment did you want? The kiss with Holland on the beach was all I could stomach, I hope you didn't want a full-fledged sex scene with my HGC. I would have been traumatized.
Just caught up on this, gritting my teeth rather than using the FF button just because I enjoy looking at Han Gi Chan so much. He is not only exceedingly handsome but a fine actor as well. I feel really bad for him that he had to do this show; he is so much better than this. His manager must suck.
There are so many things wrong and lacking here: Horrible writing, amateur acting, exceedingly predictable plot elements and dumb things like random kids showing up in the living quarters upstairs. The worst was the scene where HGC and that girl had to act like the restaurant was full and busy and the soundtrack had added in the voices of customers when she supposedly fell over, all off-camera. There is clearly a limited budget for extras. lol
i take it back: the very WORST of the WORST is having to bear the sight of our handsome HGC making out, mouths open, with that yellow-haired corpse named Holland. ugh Their pairing is about as believable as the rest of the script: the reporter who shows up out of nowhere; the old BF who apparently randomly shows up in the reporters' office, the kids appearing out of no where. The pathetic lttle line of customers outside, who the proprietor continually screws over by shutting the door in their faces, etc.
No, the worst of the worst might have been poor HGC randomly wandering the barren beach screaming Holland's name into the wind as though that was an effective means of conducting the search. HGC seemed to be contemplating the possibility that Holland had waded into the ocean and ended it all, and I could only pray it were so, but then Holland showed up in a $3000.00 designer coat looking like the angel of death and they started swapping spit. eeeeewwwwwwwwww
AND THEN...they wake up together in the morning, neat and clean and sparkling in layers and layers of spotless, nicely pressed sweatshirts, jammies, and with their hair perfectly combed. I guess they are sexual lovers now? They look as much as if they had sex the night before as I do waking up after I've only had sex with myself.
This is just terrible. But HGC is gorgeous, a good actor so I will watch to give him views on Viki. I just hope the views are not interpreted to mean that Holland was a good casting decision because it wasn't. Ugh.

Would Lin REALLY write that epic tale in Yo Yu's workbook, all about how his dad and he went climbing, what was fought over, what they said and then how the dad ended up? He supposedly wrote that in five minutes with the police bearing down on the tent. wtf? That's like ten pages of writing. And why would Yo Yu need to know any or that ugliness? And why did reading that inspire Yo Yu to confess? Why would Yo Yu be sent off to be raised by that horrible person who had never been around in his life? The presentation of the cycles of abuse repeating themselves is well-done, though I would guess in most cases it is a bit more subtle than this. Here we have his mother outright, verbally asking to be harmed whereas most of the time I would guess such a person would push and push and push without coming right out and speaking the words. I don' t know which is worse but equally soul-destroying. Foster Mother is an angel of course. So glad she finally told him exactly what he needed to hear. Given how things have obviously turned out in the end, I'm leary of episode 3, but also eager to come back to the story.

This flick takes the possibilities a few steps further and asks "what if...? Which is what most movies do.WHY does it "disgust" you. I never said I think it is "disgusting." I think it is a fact of life for thousands of years and a worthy subject for drama. The fact that just the word "incest" makes you so crazy reveals the power of the subject matter, which all the more reason to take a look at it in fiction. It happens more frequently than you think. It's not the end of the world. There are LOTS worse things in life. Saying "oh it's just disgusting" is a lazy way of telling everyone to shut up as though even to speak of it is forbidden. lol It's not.
