A newbie? You mean Sam? Yu is the newbie, Sam is an experienced actor. Look at his profile, his earliest work is from 2012. I have seen some people being surprised that he is doing BL now. And Yu is soooo awkward. I was shocked when I saw how different he behaves. Unrecognizable. He is really cute, though. And very, very talented. Yu is carrying the whole series, while Sam is carrying their ship. He is so charming and good at flirting. They are very cute in real life.

I don't want to be rude, but I think you just blow everything out of proportions. It's a silly light-hearted BL show. I don't take it too serious, and it's not meant to be taken serious.

I remember when History 3 MODC aired and Xi Gu was such a miserable character. That scene when he kneeled before Hao Ting, begging him to spare his life, was very powerful. It was such a heartbreaking scene and everyone on MDL was like "This show is boring". But those characters back then (later on the series became rather silly and cheesy) dealt with some REAL problems: Poverty, inequality, desperation, fear of having no future.

I just don't bother about a rich spoiled kid with lots of friends and talents not being able to beat his boyfriend. Because Shi De is so madly in love with him, it looks to me that Shu Yi is the one in power. Don't know about s2. But at the moment there is NO concerning power imbalance. I would even say, it's one of the most healthiest and balanced relationships I have ever seen in BL. And while Shu Yi is very emotional, I never felt that he is taken it to heart losing against Shi De. It seems to hurt his pride and making him angry. That's all.

And please don't bother telling me, what you DIDN'T say. I 100% understand your point. You don't understand mine.

100% agree. I can rewatch every scene with him countless times. He is so expressive and charming. And I have never seen an actor looking so beautiful when crying :P

But I must say SamYu are really the best by far. Their acting is on another level and the off-screen flirting too. Sam is reeeeally good at it.

Yu is incredible. I feel like he is pushing Sam, but maybe that's just my imagination. Sam is a great and more experienced actor. I haven't seen his other works, but in WBL I really feel he is giving 100% because of Yu. Like in the confession scene: When Yu looks at you, the face full of tears, you have to give it your all!

I occasionally stalk actors if they have nice chemistry and interaction. I'm such a sucker for good friendships and I love seeing young people being happy and enjoying life. When you get older, you don't have such friendships anymore. Seeing those two having so much fun together (that silly giggling!), warms my heart. I also liked Tay&New a lot. They have such a complicated and crazy friendship. But after all the drama ... sigh. Max&Tul are also great. Very loving towards each other.
