Thoughts about ep 13:They crammed almost every major character into ep 13 but couldn't even make a few seconds…
"Did ppl really need to see Can cook naked?"
Yes, they did. Apparently this is one of the most requested and most anticipated scenes of the whole series. No kidding. I heard about this legendary "apron-scene" everywhere. I thought there must be something special and original about this scene. But nope. Can't believe for what nonsense people get excited.

The final episode was a nice ending for TinCan I guess? Overall, the script of ACTL was bad and rushed, the editing…
"enjoyable and unwatchable at the same time" sums it up pretty well ;P

You sum up everything I wanted to say but don´t have the energy to write because *sigh* except for the Tin/Can…
As far as I know the director decided to make this series softer and not explicit. I can imagine he did it, because he knew about Plan struggling with the love scenes. I don't care much about such scenes if the chemistry is right and the story good (which wasn't the case in LBC2), but I get extremely annoyed if they purposely try to avoid them. Watching Ep 13 I was the most curious about how creative they will be by NOT showing those scenes. There were several occasions where as a viewer you thought they would kiss and then they didn't. I was constantly thinking: "Will they or won't they". I felt like playing a game. My bets were most of the time on "they won't". This just gives me a very unpleasant feeling. Just don't create such scenes if the actors are not willing to do them.

I think this the worst thai BL I saw in a while, but I would see an hypothetical third season.
I enjoyed the series more or less, but I'm done with those couples. Would not watch a season 3. There is nothing I can look forward to.

All of us that wanted to see Pete again, well got his tears, Adam's apple and fingers.....yay.....(-_-)
Mean is smooth in those loves scenes. Reminds me of Mew for some reason. I call that a "talent". But Plan has no romance in his tiny little body that's for sure. Can't imagine him doing love scenes in general. Doesn't matter BL or not.

Holy mother of God!! I have never felt so much second hand embarrassment in my whole life than I did watching…
"I can't believe plan managed to say those wattpad worthy lines with a straight face."
The novel is really something. I did read parts of it (I‘m a masochist I guess) and it's even worse then I thought. The legendary "apron-scene" is a badly written porn with dicks raising like birthday candles and looking like pink mushrooms. As an author I would crawl into a hole and hope nobody ever finds me. I hope those actors get paid well.

I am so curious about this series. Those two were always different. Nobody even ships them, because it doesn't matter. They love each other obviously. They are bold, unapologetic, hot, charismatic and so much fun to watch when they are together. No drama in all those years. I never expected them to come back with a mature series like this, though. It shows that you can evolve as a "BL couple". They were one of the first back then to provide hotter scenes on screen and to show a more mature approach to the BL genre. And now they are doing a series like we have never seen before. Crime and BL. This can be the beginning of a new BL area. I'm happy for them and proud that this very unusual couple is doing something different again and leading the way. Or, well, the series will flop and we are back to our school BLs with boys in blue pants. Who knows? No idea how this will turn out.

Plan is stopping BL also? I thought it was only Mean (and Perth I think)
I would like to see him in a more serious (and maybe dangerous) role too. It fits his personality better. I have seen a picture of him as a vampire (I guess fan-made). Imagine how cool that would be!

"typecasted into gay roles" What else can he do? Plan's boyish looks hold him back. He once talked about some male creeps following him to the toilet. When he was scouted, he wasn't sure if he had to undress (!!!). Since then I wonder what kind of experiences he had in life. It's an open secret he envies Mean for his height. He wants to be manlier, but it's hopeless.
Well, I enjoyed it. That's what you call a "guilty pleasure". But yeah, it was a strange experience. There were so many scenes where I thought they could have done a better job, but they didn't. The writer, the director, the actors - nobody seemed to give it their all. Or maybe that's just the best they could come up with. I don't know. I don't care. It was fun. Plan's struggle with the kissing scenes is real, though. Good thing he stops doing BL.

This whole season was just tossed together. Nine of these plot points will be resolved. They have two eps to go.…
Even if they resolve it, it's still shallow. Drug abuse is a horrible thing and makes me very sad. So many young people lose their future and their life because of drugs. It's tragic and becoming a huge problem where I live. In this series it's just used to accuse Tin of being a bad guy and a criminal - and of course to show us how Can blindly trusts his boyfriend. Don't know how much Thai culture plays a role, though. But this attitude is so uninformed and just wrong. MAME likes to do such things: throwing in heavy psychological stuff and not elaborating it at all. It's just done to make the story edgy and cool. It's cheap. Like she did in TharnType with the whole child abuse.

I have no answer to that. I don't know what's wrong with women's minds. I was never a typical BL author, that's why people told me for years I will never make it with my writing. Not cheesy enough, not smutty enough, not exciting enough. At the end of the day not stupid enough. Now I make a living with novel writing for over 5 years. Joke's on them, I guess. I'm not writing BL anymore, though. I never made much money with it. The market for this genre in my country (I live in Italy, but I write for the German market) is too small. Even a bestselling book (ranked #1 in your category) will only sell around 5000 copies.
I was drawn to the BL genre, because I prefer writing about relationships where both characters are on equal footing in every aspect of their lives (sexually too, because they can always switch). As a women you're forced into the bottom role. You have to spread your legs, bear children, give up your career. I'm not a fan of that. But the BL genre was never about equality (like real-life gay relationships aren't about that either).
BL is a porn thing. Heterosexual men enjoy lesbian porn, because one woman is hot, but two are even hotter. It's the same for women. They also enjoy seeing a man in the bottom role, I guess. The whole Daddy/Baby thing ... they like to imagine Daddy Tin f*cking out the brains of Baby Can. Because it's soooo cuuuuute! LMAO You wrote "sexually punished" - this is not exclusive to the BL genre. There is lots of rape and hardcore sex literature available. I lately saw someone complain on FB that the (heterosexual) erotic literature is becoming a rape literature where rape is okay as long as the rapist is hot. Really ... it's just about sexual fantasies. And women like to make it cheesy and cute which is such a strange combination. When I was writing BL I came across the German word "Kitschpornografie" which just means "cheesy pornography". That's a thing. They even created a word for it LOL I don't think that answered your question, but I'm lost here too.

This has not much to do with culture, rather with human nature. Before the internet happened and before fanfictions became a thing, those stories didn't get published. I'm not that young anymore, I still remember the beginning of the fanfiction culture in my country. I was a BL writer myself 15 years ago. BL how we know it today exists for much longer, though. I think it started in the 70s (or even earlier), but with the internet it got HUGE. Anyways, the most popular stories are always rather toxic. Romanticizing rape is especially popular. It's a fetish of heterosexual women all over the world. There is no quality control. If you get enough people to love your stuff, you can publish it. And authors write smutty, toxic and problematic stuff, because they know it's popular and it will sell. I always say as an author you can only be successful if you're extremely good or extremely bad. I'm sure there are lots of well written stories somewhere in the middle, that don't get the recognition they deserve. That's how the world works.

That's MAME for you. This writer makes me very uncomfortable. But unfortunately most people like this stuff. Those novels are popular because of the toxicity. Addicted/Heroin is also a good example. Horrible novel.

I couldn't imagine them being a couple. But it works surprisingly well. They seem real and believable to me, despite Plan's kissing-phobia you can feel through the screen.

What are you saying? I'm not trashing every comment so far. Jesus! Learn some manners! I'm very vocal about how I don't like the author and the writing. Even in the comment to which you responded I complained about the bad editing! I was never aggressive to anyone here. But I think that Mean&Plan are doing a good job with the bad material they got. Aggressive, unhappy, negative people everywhere. Grow up! And complaining about the payment for WeTV. I always love that. No one wants to pay for entertainment. No wonder it's all low budget.
