Wow ... is that a thing now? Korean BL? I thought they were just testing out the water with WYEL, but now those series are coming and coming ... nice development ...

Inspector M’s uniform is bothering me so much. It looks so tight and fit. It even makes me uncomfortable. Lol…
Lol, and I thought I'm the only one ...

Actually it is the actors' own voices. You can check behind the scenes on each epilogue
It still sound not great. Especially Ah Ning. I didn't have such complains about Candle in the Tomb, Mystic Nine, Reunion etc.

Well there’s hope for writing to pick up here? I’m enjoying this show so far. I also agree somewhat with what…
Honestly, I just feel there is a lack of passion. The crime/thriller part is done pretty well. I really appreciate how they show the forensic stuff in such a realistic way. Where this series is lacking, is mostly the characters/actors. I'm 100% convinced that a good TV series needs characters people can root for (or hate them). There must be an emotional reaction. I have none, unfortunately. The reporter is now dead. Who cares? Didn't like that guy, didn't hate him. I liked the actress who played Jane, but do I care who killed her? No. The biggest problem though: Bun and Tan aren't engaging either. It's very rare for me being so indifferent towards characters in a TV series. The sister has no charisma, Inspector M is just a pretty face who cannot act, that Pued guy ... sigh. I don't feel their emotions through the screen at all. But I have still hope ...

Of course, the series has its flaws but I'm quite puzzled by some of the points you've made. - Are people nowadays…
- Are people nowadays so desensitized towards serious themes (like drugs, prostitution, murder, sexual abuse, police corruption, etc. ) that they feel a series treating those themes is not enough "intense", "edgier", etc. ?

The problem is the execution/presentation - not the plot. It's not done in an intense and appealing way that makes the viewer hold his breath. I lately watched Etracurricular (Korean Drama) and I still feel my heart racing just thinking about it. That's sure not the case watching MOD. But since Trapped also needed some episodes to get to the intense stuff, I still hope this series will improve.

I'm not calling it ship ,, I'm calling it brotherhood and it's more intense in this drama with Zhang Qiling ,,…
To be fair, Wu Xei in Tomb of the Sea, Candle in the Tomb, Lost Cavern and Reunion (where he is older) felt rather similar. I still think they should have produced those dramas in order and only used two different characters (for them when they are younger and when they are older). You fall in love with the characters and want to watch more and then you have to get used to completely different actors. It's just strange. Hugh Jackman played Wolverine for 17 years! I don't know why they couldn't make longer contracts with those actors. Maybe that's how it's done in China.

The main story of lost tomb describe xiao ge put important to wu xie while wu xie would collapse if anything happened…
I watched those series in the wrong order. I still have to watch Lost Tomb 1 & 2, but I must tell you there is no real "reunion" in Reunion: Sound of Providence. Wu Xei and Xiao Ge have maybe 15 minutes of screen time together in s1. There is a s2, though, which I haven't watched. It's still a good drama and I enjoyed it, but yeah ...

Not even Fatty was there most of the time, he was busy playing sugar daddy for that divorced woman with the kid. Jokes aside, this franchise is sooo strange. You feel like the plot is more important than the characters. The characters are just causally named the same in all those series. Wu Xie in Reunion felt completely different than the one in Ultimate Note.

I'm not feeling that famous Wu Xie & Zhang Qiling ship. I wish I would because the boys are cute. The best chemistry I have seen to date in those Tomb Raiding series was between Wu Xie and Fatty in Reunion. Their chemistry was natural and sincere. It's hilarious that this ship is so famous and I cannot see it despite watching so many series already. I feel like it's hiding from me LOL
On Ultimate Note Dec 24, 2020
The guys are cute and this series is something for the folks out there who like to ship Wu Xie and Zhang Qi Ling, but the production, acting, the budget - it's unfortunately not on the same level like other series I watched. I have a hard time getting into this. Even the dubbing is bad.
On Manner of Death Dec 23, 2020
I'm underwhelmed by this. Most of the actors lack charisma and come across like they are just there for the paycheck. The pace is too slow and too fast at the same time. You feel like nothing important happens and then again the plot moves rather fast. I blame the film making/directing. The acting of Max&Tul isn't that great either. Tul is constantly making weird faces. You can be surprised without squinting your eyes, moving your lips and making weird noises. There is so much going on in his face for no good reason. He was the same as Knock, but back then I thought it's just the character and it kinda suited him. Max isn't doing any better. He has trouble to balance out his character. The switch between good and bad guy isn't working well. I also blame the production. When Max acts suspicious this strange background music starts playing. The music in general is rather misplaced. The love story is underwhelming too. With that kind of plot Max&Tul could be on fire, with all the mistrust on both sides. There is potential for a complicated, passionate and intense relationship, a cat-and-mouse game – but what we get is them playing house. That fluffy domestic stuff is just too boring and a strange contrast to all the murder and crime happening. I want more intensity, make it more edgier, I want to feel my heart racing – but nope. It's still an interesting watch and I feel like the story has potential. But yeah, I'm underwhelmed. I must say, even though I always thought the plot in Trapped was rather messy, the series had it's very intense moments. Those are lacking in MOD completely until now. I was never surprised, shocked, scared or moved watching those 5 episodes. They should step up their game.

Okay, now I watched Reunion: Sound of Providence, where Wu Xie was looking for his Third Uncle who brought him up and I got the impression he did not see him since his childhood and at the end of s1 he is still looking for him. Now I started watching this, Third Uncle lies in a hospital bed and Wu Xie looks rather young? Are those stories even connected? In Reunion Wu Xie seems to have terminal lung cancer, but in series like Candle in The Tomb, Lost Cavern and Tomb of the Sea he looks much older? So he doesn't die? I didn't watch Reunion s2, though. But this is so confusing.
On The Lost Tomb Dec 18, 2020
It's hard to connect to those actors/characters if they are changing every time. I liked the cast in Candle In The Tomb a lot, in Lost Cavern totally different guys. Now I watch Reunion and I like the cast too, in Lost Tomb totally different guys again. It's not that there is a big age gap, so they have to use different actors. I'm really confused about the fact that they don't care much about continuity. I wonder how many guys are out there who played Wu Xie until now? 10 or even more? Are they putting out those dramas so fast that the actors cannot manage with their schedule?
On Manner of Death Dec 4, 2020
So I watched it the minute it came out, still don't know what to say about it. First, they did a lot of things right and I like the vibe, the mature themes, the realistic portrayal of forensic work, the acting is good most of the time too. I somehow like the dialogues to the point where I thought the novel could actually be pretty good. But what I don't like is the low quality. I know this is low budget, but really ... the audio sounds terrible (even on the official version and clips the WeTV YouTube channel posted), the editing is choppy, the pace is a bit slow, and there is hardly any suspense created. For whatever reason I expected the quality would be better. I watched the new GMMTV trailer for Not Me (a series with Gun/Off) and while I don't even know if that series will be any good, I was blown away by the high quality of the trailer. GMMTV obviously has much more money and is willing to invest more in their BLs. It's a shame that MaxTul don't have a big company. Tul is carrying the series at the moment, I wonder when Max will step in and show us an interesting character and some good acting (he is the more natural and better actor than Tul, sorry!). Until now that Tan guy is rather blunt. Well, what else? I like it and I support it, but yeah, don't know why they couldn't even afford some proper microphones. I have never seen such "mistakes" before in any other production. And despite this series being rather mature and different, we have those cliches scenes I don't like very much and I have seen too often (love at first sight, being drunk in a club, showering scenes just to show off their bodies etc. ) So after all this again feels like a BL with different background and not like a suspense story where the main characters happen to be gay. And I personally would prefer the latter. At the moment I don't think this series will attract non-BL-watchers, because the crime doesn't seem interesting enough. And I don't think that every BL watcher likes those kind of stories. But I hope it will be a big success. It was trending on the WeTV page for days so fingers crossed!

The actors did very very well with what they were given. The criticism is directed primarily at the writing as…
I was not talking about the criticism, I was talking about them apologizing, which is a mistake. They should listen to the criticism, do a better job next time and we are all good. With apologizing they give too much power to the toxic fandom and create a situation like in China, where a fandom can boycott and ruin an actor by forcing companies to cancel deals with him.
"If we all silently eat up whatever we are given we will be given cheep junk food." It's cheap junk to begin with. The novel is trash. MAME's success is based on toxic relationships and edgy topics (drugs, rape, child abuse). None of those topics she elaborates well in a sensitive way.

Maybe he is too inexperienced to fake it? His reactions remember me a lot of mine when I had my first kiss/my first boyfriend. Back then I felt horrible uncomfortable too. Nowadays I still don't enjoy kissing, but I could fake it like there is no tomorrow. That's the good thing about age: You just stop caring about, well, many things. In a video chat Plan talked to a guy (don't remember who it was) and the guy said: "This time you have to kiss properly/do real kissing" and Plan answered "Try YOU kissing Mean. It's so wet." They guy laughed and said "That's normal". It made me giggle. I thought the same back then: It's so wet, slippery, so damn soft. Ugh.

Plan honestly deserves an award for the worst kisser in BL history. I have watched a lot of BL´s and I have never…
Plan said in an interview he never was in love, never had a girlfriend etc. If it's true, he has zero experience and his first kiss is with Mean. I get some asexual vibes from him tbh. He just clearly isn't into this cheesy romance stuff. I can't imagine him with a girl either. Mean on the other hand is a bit overwhelming. I feel like Plan is intimidated by him in those scenes.
