This was a pretty big rumor back then, but today YT recommend me an interview where Mean talked about not doing BL roles anymore, and he was polite and charming and said nothing inappropriate. I wonder if back then this was just blown out of proportions.
No need to sh*t on Thai BL when praising Korean BL. Thai BL has a lot of flaws, still my favorite couples are…
I don't watch (Thai) BL for the fan service. I'm not a "shipper". When I talk about "BL couples" I mean the story they show us on screen. And there are some stories that really excite me and I was on the edge of my seat to see how those guys realtionship develop and if and how they will get together. I don't have that feeling for Korean BL. But there are only two series out now. So I will wait what's next to come. But in general I never watched those cheesy romantic Korean Dramas. I like the Action, Fantasy and psychological stuff. Especially the psychological stuff like in Night Flight, Method or Eclipse. WYEL tried to be psychological, but at the end it was just unnecessarily complicated and they were beating around the bush. What I want to say: Until now Korean BL is good, but it doesn't excite me. Mostly because they go in the light-hearted, cute, fluffy direction and I'm not living for it.

I heard good things about Gameboys, but I'm not really a fan of those (video)chats. I really wonder about Manner of Death. It would be spectacular if the Kings of BL could give us something new and change the genre (someone can hope!) I'm skeptical, though. But in general I'm not unhappy with the current BLs. There is something for everyone.
This is a trainwreck and for those that are enjoying it, I'm glad you are. I will watch this until episode 6 and…
If they are left behind, then they are left behind. Let's wait for Manner of Death. I'm curious if they can reinvent the genre with a more mature story. Japanese BL just doesn't click right with me, Koran BL is not bold enough (and will never be) and Taiwan is too afraid of not pleasing the fans so it has to add all those stupid BL clichés. I don't know about the Philippines, though.

You said: "It's funny how on 10 minutes this korean BL are able to convey so much more story and emotions than the 40 minutes regular thai bl"
I feel like Koran BL doesn't manage to show enough emotions. I LOVE Korean Drama and I'm well aware of their quality in production and storytelling. Thai BL on the other hand is based on badly written smutty fanfictions. Objectively speaking Korea is doing a better job, how we all hoped for and expected knowing the good quality and storytelling of their series. Still their BLs feel "meh" for me. I like their Gay movies much better where they really show intense stories. This lighthearted series aren't doing it for me, and feel rather blunt like many cute Korean teen rom-com series which honestly I'm not a fan of either.
God knows how much I hate the defenseless cute lil uke stereotype in BLs and I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY this isn't…

I hated it at first, now I love it. Most people are still in the "hating"-phase
I'm not that mad about the reboot, the relationship in s1 was ... well, a bit toxic. They do it slightly better in the reboot. But it will take them at least 2 more episodes to get where they ended s1 so half the series is over. I also wanted a sequel. We'll get only four or five episodes with the new storyline. And if they introduce now other characters the Tin&Can screentime will be even less. What's the point of a s2 then? Strange ... If they don't have enough material they should have ended it in s1. But apparently there is a novel? So what's the problem here?
I thought there would be more chemistry between MeanPlan this time around but it’s pretty clear Plan is still…
About Plan being uncomfortable: I really like the new season and watched some Mean/Plan stuff, fan meetings, fan made videos etc. over the weekend. They are both very different from their characters which I knew before, but Plan constantly looks like he doesn't want to be there. I guess because he is so cute, he could get away with it so long. There was drama about Mean, though. That he said acting in BL is unprofessional or something. Strangely Mean looks pretty excited and in general has a very easy-going personality. He doesn't look unhappy at all. I feel like Plan has some serious issues being called cute, baby, and being the bottom in general. This ship got so famous because of the great kisses (let's be honest), but that's because Mean is a good kisser who manages to look like he wants to devour Plan. I just thought it's strange that apparently Mean doesn't like his job, while he is doing great and looking happy, while Plan is just miserable and his acting in s2 isn't great.
i was wondering what the wyel abbreviation is for? this is the 2nd time i've seen this mentioned here
Most people compare this to WYEL because it was the first official "Korean BL series". And this is the second. In fact those series are only a movie cut into 10-minutes pieces. Korea is testing the waters and it's interesting to see how their BLs will turn out and if they will do more in the future.
Jin Woo lacks charisma and Sang Ha is a bit overwhelming. I'm not a fan of the marathon theme at all and I don't like stories where a guy is secretly in love with another guy for years. But well, this is just me. Objectively speaking the series is cute and well done. It also feels very fresh and it's not like WYEL at all. They tried to do something different and I enjoy the skinship. You don't get that in hetero Korean Drama. I overall like the direction Korean BL is heading.
