Lol, I have a busy life. Now that you mention it, I remember. I didn't before. I honestly had no idea that I commented on those wigs. And now I also remember that many people answered my comment, and I was too busy to go through this many, many responses. I honestly felt it was a bit ridiculous. A heated discussion? I was not the one who leaded that on. I made assumptions? Most likely I was irritated by that "heated" discussion. My opinions are pretty stable, so I guess I said that I don't like the horrible wigs, the cheesy and very theatrical style, and most likely I also assumed people go bonkers for this because of the implied gay relationship (which in the novel is real as far as I know) and the pretty looking boys (and they are really, really pretty). And that leaded to a heated discussion? I'm irritated again. Btw: I'm now watching the special edition and plan to give this a rating of 9. So I really don't know what's the problem here ... The Untamed-fandom is crazy. Ups. An assumption again ... I would rather call it a personal experience.
Does someone know how successful this series was? I have no idea where to look for this information. On Viki it has 70k followers which I guess is pretty good. But I don't see the views ...
Koreans, normally they do about 1-hour episodes, but BL? 10min:D It feels more like an experiment... but they…
This was a movie cut into 8 parts. It seems a director's cut version will be released in theaters. And it really was an experiment. They wanted to test how viewers react to that type of content.
Personally for me, I loved it! Korean BL's are so few, but those that I have watched, are better when being compared…
Thai BLs are based on badly written fan fictions. That's the whole problem. It's a certain "genre" with genre rules. It's all about pleasing an audience with copy-and-past-stories. Cute boys falling in love and being cute and dramatic and having silly love problems. I don't know in what direction Korea is going and if they plan to do more BL. It would be really exciting, though. "Where your eyes linger" was a good start, but there is room for improvement
I can't speak for everyone but I think the majority like BL content in general and in this show the two main leads…
Korean storytelling is just on another level. There is something deep and emotional about it, you don't find anywhere else. I'm European and not even that familiar with Asian culture, but those stories speak to me a lot. That said, I must admit, I'm not crazy about this series either. I like it and I enjoyed watching it, but I'm not smiling happily and feeling all fuzzy.
I don't think there'll be a season 2. From what I experienced in the regular KDramas, they hardly make other seasons,…
Popular shows get sequels. Teacher Kim is also an example. "Where your eyes linger" was a movie cut into 8 parts. It really didn't feel like a series at all.
If korea take bl industry seriously , I am afraid that thai bl will surely suffer . Of course they will always…
I didn't expect them to kiss for the reasons you mentioned. I was really surprised they did it. But yeah, I'm not crazy about that kiss. But it's not like they are doing a better job in straight dramas. I think Korean dramas are pretty famous for their closed-lip-kissing.
After the horrors of MODC and 2GTHR, finally something we can all celebrate! There's a rumor of a director's cut…
So you think a BL ending with a high five is similar terrible as a BL where one of the guys dies at the end? Made me laugh. People are really traumatized because of 2gether :D
