This series has such a nice flow to it. Every scene is acted perfectly, every scene is important and well-thought-out. The music and the cinematography are also on another level. Very high quality. The writing is also pretty deep. You don't see that often in the BL genre.
Let me just say, Qian is an ass and if I were Yuan I would be so turned off. It’s like he’s trying to torment…
Qian is not a romantic. That Yuan is in love with a guy so much, is suffering so much ... Qian can't really understand it. He wants to prepare him for the worst. He was showing him how to box, because he wants him to be strong. Qian knows that strength (physical and mental) is important to survive. What is he supposed to do? Patting Yuan's head and assuring him that the guy will love him back one day, and they for sure will be happy ever after and dance together under the rainbow? It would be out of character. He tries his best to be supportive and understanding, but he won't sugarcoat the situation.
man the next episode looks heart breaking :( well it is not surprising for Qian to be a bit homophobic ig but…
Qian is not homophobic. No sane person is happy when a relative or friend comes to them and says "I'm gay". It means your life will be more difficult, and you don't wish a difficult life on someone you love. He tries to do the right thing, but his disappointment (in his own parenting) was showing. He didn't push him away. He told Sang Peng, because in his eyes this is a crisis, and he wants to find a way to handle it best. They are all family.
They should upload the episodes earlier. I paid for YouTube Membership for nothing.
There is no exclusive content, though. I'm happy to support them, but I'm disappointed that they don't offer anything. I can't pay for the app, so I was hoping to watch the series on Saturday legally on their YouTube channel, but nope. I still stream the episodes in the background after they air on Youtube to give them views, but well.
I dropped this, because I thought, nothing made any sense, not to mention that it was so slow, that sometimes just nothing happened, like the characters were frozen. I came here today and expected the rating being around 8.2 or so, but look! 8.8? Well, maybe I should try again? Or are the fans of the actors rating this so high?
If they aren't exaggerating, and it's true, that they have intense love scenes, they will break the internet. There is nothing hotter than good love scenes between characters that are well written and actors that can act and a good build-up with lots of tension and heartbreak, which we will get for sure.
Funny how people just can't admit they are wrong. You were thinking they were talking about the main couple, since the one is younger and was raised by the other. And maybe they were.
The child abuse was not only at the beginning. We just saw it in ep 3. It plays a big part in the main character's development. There are trigger warnings for far less in fictional works.
I'm curious about your response, because of course you're the kind of person who must have the last word.
Well, then be more attentive while watching it. The mother was abusive to Qian. She was hitting him, and it even looked like some inappropriate touching was going on.
I appreciate how they try to tell an emotional and realistic story. I'm too used to toxic and edgy stories without any depths. This kind of tale is perfect for a certain amount of toxicity, instead they go down a completely different route. I never expected the younger brother's love being so pure and innocent. It looks like the older brother has also feelings, but he is struggling much more than the younger one. I'm not a fan of time skips, but in this case it's a good decision. They really try to make their love deep, sincere and romantic.
