In the Safe House they (White, Foei and Chimon) told a joke about Tay and First. I don't get it either. It was a sex joke, but meant to offend First. I don't understand neither the joke nor because it was directed to First only, and not Tay. At least I see nobody defending Tay.

Many of those BL actors are homophobic. I remember how the Love By Chance cast bullied Earth, the only openly gay actor.

Our "liberating steps" are not different. My whole point was, that P'Aof (the director who is gay himself) was doing it in a way that it was obvious he wanted to educate the audience about those things. I don't like that approach. They say "show don't tell". He was telling, not showing. That was my issue.

The top/bottom thing is complicated. It's not only about sexual positions, this is also about who is more dominant in the relationship. But talking about sexual positions: Even in real gay relationships this is a thing. Most couples aren't versatile. But again, my point is: Why being so clumsy by educating the audience? Who is there to be educated? Gay people? Sure not. They won't stop calling their significant other "wife" after watching the series (if they did it before which I doubt, haha). So he tried to educate a fandom. This is a bit silly since the fandom lives from certain stereotypes. Many enjoy feminizing one guy in the relationship. There is even a thing like "Mpreg" in the wattpad world. The hetero girls out there who watch BL and who are still the main audience like that stuff. That's why they do it in the first place. I'm a bit pessimistic. I don't think you can change that, and honestly, I don't see the need for it. It's not that serious.
Regarding The Eclipse: Akk is taller and stronger. So people assume he is the "man" in the relationship. Maybe this is an evolutionary thing. We all still think in those categories. If they are going in a different direction, it's fine with me, because the way the characters are written it's believable. I won't think they are just doing it to prove a point or to educate us. Again, this is not only about sexual positions.

Sigh ... How to put it? Where to start?
I KNOW that many of those guys starring in BLs are behaving rather inappropriate. I don't want to throw around the word "homophobic", but you get the impression they are not thinking highly of gay relationships and the roles they have to play. And if someone is indeed gay, they even bully him, like we have seen with Earth and the Love By Chance guys. So that's bad, yes. But regarding Tay and First: Please keep it down for Christ sake! Why all that touching and kissing? Their friendship? Come on! They can do that off-camera. I have seen guys hugging and being touchy in the Safe House before, but this is just a bit too much. There is also something about First that makes him an easy target. First and Khao are there to promote their series. And yes, Khao was annoyed. There was a scene where First got up and talked with Tay, and Khao looked seriously pissed. I was surprised by that. He sometimes tries to keep First in his company which he has any right to do so, because they are there to promote their series! That's their job. Many viewers also tune in because of TayNew. That TayFirst thing is not needed. And I don't even want to start with those guys making stupid jokes. Funny, it's always the ones who aren't that popular or talented.
I don't care what those guys do or don't in their private life. I don't care about shipping or their romantic relationships. That has nothing to do with me anyways. But just keep it down a bit. Promote your series/couple like you're supposed to do. I sometimes feel that many of those guys don't enjoy being in the Safe House. Maybe they should stop that format, or put less guys in there they more carfully select.

The storytelling is very ... don't know how to say it. Straight forward? You get from A to B to C in the same pace. They don't rush through the plot just to give us some fan service which is a good thing. But I admit the "Catch me if you can" wasn't enough to get me hooked. The martial arts scene was it, though. One of the best scenes of the whole series until now. They worked hard on that scene and it was filmed very well. The sounds, the camera angles, the acting. I rewatched it countless times.

Btw: I liked the bathroom scene in the old trailer better with the black underwear and that look on Khao's face! And of course we have to advertize for Calvin Klein again, haha!

What I remember the relationship between Yok and Dan/UNAR was very, very exciting. The whole premise was so good. But I also felt they weren't so comfortable with each other. But since we had OffGun in the same series the comparison may not be fair. I also thought Fluke's acting wasn't that great. But again, if you have Off, Gun and First in a series ... But their relationshp was something new and exciting you don't see often in other BLs.

Btw. I don't want to come across as some BL expert. I don't watch that many series. I'm too picky. I have seen people make jokes about First having chemistry with everyone. People praise him for his role in The Shipper too, which I didn't watch.

I didn't watch much of Tonhon either. But the low rating has nothing to do with the couple or the actors. It seems the writing was the issue. People were enraged by the homophobia shown in the series. You can find out more if you read the reviews.

They had sex? In today's episode? Woah! That was fast! I didn't watch it.
But in all honesty, I enjoy a good sex scene. But I haven't seen many that I really liked. If I have no interest in the plot and the characters, there is no point in watching them making out.

He is exposing the school? That would mean he find out something. In that case the plot moves faster than I thought.

The chemistry and their interaction is something else. With every episode it amazes me a bit more. Very refreshing.

The series looks great. Nice visuals, nice coloring (!!), very attractive actors that look good together. But the characters are poorly written. You get your typcial top that's smart, beautiful, strong, everyone wants him. The bottom is clumsy, stupid and a cry baby. I don't enjoy those stereotypes, but I'm not bothered either. But in this series the power difference is a bit shocking to me. The top treats the bottom like a child. Directly or indirectly in a psychological manipulative manner he tries to make the bottom behave in a certain way so he is a "good boy". For me this is unwatchable. I don't understand is this supposed to be romantic or kinky, lol. There is some dom/sub thing going on.

Mame is the author. She also wrote TharnType and Don't Say No. Her stories are problamtic and toxic. You get the most typical top/bottom cliches. There is also lots of unwanted or forced kissing and sex going on. But many out there love such series. I see people claim TharnType is one of their favorites. So well. I'm not judging. But many are also enraged that such shows get so much attention.

Yeah, he was great as Yok in Not Me. The whole aura was different. But I feel with the right partner he can shine even more, not individually, but as a couple, if that makes sense. I didn't think back then he had much chemistry with his partner. Khao in Tonhon Chonlatee was also completely different. With the new hairstyle he is almost unrecognizable! Completely different personalities he had to play. First went from bad boy to stiff student with a stick in the ass. Khao went from lively awkward cutie to sassy flirtious guy who's charisma shines brighter than the sun, lol.

No, no, no! Nobody was shipping those two. I remember a live with Ohm and Nanon where Ohm was down, because in the comments everyone was talking about the NanonChimon ship. Since The Gifted those two guys were shipped heavily. Fans were very disappointed because they didn't got that ship. I think Ohm even adressed this once, that there was a certain pressure to make fans love their ship.

The liberating steps you talked about: Honestly, that was one of the reasons I grew to dislike this show so much. They tried to educate the audience by force. I don't need that. Compare it to The Eclipse: they are much more subtle. It seem they will go for AyanAkk which is also rather unusual and not your typical top/bottom cliche. But they don't push it hard, they go with the flow. Don't know how this will work out, but AyanAkk or AkkAyan is both believable to me. The PranPat thing was just done to prove a point.

Episode 2 was great with the martial arts scene. But episode 1 was indeed a snoozefeet and a rather uninspiring way to start such a series.

Someone was assuming that Akk said something bad to Ayan about Dika. But then I saw Akk was the one who punched him first? What's going on? And how surprised he looked when Ayan punshed him back ...
