Not sure why "Beyond Evil" is now recommended on this page. It was only Semantic and TMS the other day.
It seems the filming locations are the same. Beyond Evil is a different genre, but with a strong bromance. The atmosphere created by those ordinary people in that small town is similar.

So the previous episodes' rating was 12+ and the upcoming ones are 15+. Just saying.
Why do you know the previous episodes (1-4?) were 12+? It says here on MDL 15+ for the whole series. Same with s1.
@Aroma66: 15+ just means a kiss like we saw it in Ep 4 I think.

I'm gonna be honest -- hoping no one will be offended -- after watching ep 0 I had NO expectations, like: I assumed…
People were excited, because the love scenes were pretty nice. I never managed to watch Ep 0 without skipping parts, but for some stupid reason I thought the series would be better. The actors have charisma and good chemistry. I thought they would use that well and give us a decent story. But nope.

In WYEL they didn't dare to kiss so much. It was the first Korean BL back then. They were just testing out the waters. People tend to forget that. We are still at the beginning of discovering the potential of Korean BL.

Grated it's a trope I hate (bisexual men exist dramaland!?!?!!!) but this was already pretty clear in season 1…
People are so harsh on this series! Since it's Korea, I don't expect them to talk so explicitly about sexuality. The first season was one of the first Korean BL after Where Your Eyes Linger and Mr. Heart.

I thought it was pretty clear that Seo Joon was gay. Ji Woo seems to be pansexual.

But who cares at this point? At least not everyone and their dog is gay like in so many Thai BL series like My Secret Love where everyone from friend group 1 is falling in love with a guy from friend group 2.

My question with all the comments is that are people judging this relationship with based on how hetero relationship…
Don't really remember everything from s1, but I think they didn't address the issue that KSJ is a big star, and as far as I know, he never outed himself. I wonder if they will include this in the series. There are enough episodes to do so. He seems to be a heartthrob. If his (female) fans learn he is living with a guy ... woah! HJW even said they couldn't just go out for a walk for everyone to see them. They had to make their relationship a secret. It for sure would add more realistic drama to the whole series.

I completely agree with you. One of the best S2s that I have ever watched. I find it so relatable on so many levels.…
I love that about Korean drama soooo much. Reminds me of the series Beyond Evil. It's crime/thriller/mystery, but I enjoyed it so much for the relationships and the community. I live in Europe, and came never in contact with Korean culture, but when they show us those ordinary people, I can relate. Compare that to most American series. Everything is shiny, superficial and soulless.

People are really being impatient with s2 and hating on it, i think the reason behind breakup is not yet clear…
Honestly, I get it. You have to capture the hearts of your audience with the very first episode. Both first episodes were rather depressing, the flash backs confusing and a bit tiring. People don't enjoy starting a series and getting overwhelmed with angst. They may enjoy it later, when the story is getting started. The good thing though: Since it's BL and the end result is good, people will spread the word and many more will watch it. So I have hope this will turn out successful.

I'm especially enjoying the side characters many here complain about. I'm a bit tired of those university campus BLs where everyone is gay and an engineering student. In 2 My Star they really manage to show you what life is all about. Family, love, friends, your job, a place to live, a community.

1. Seo Joon curling up into a ball and lamenting why Ji woo is been so harsh to him. 2. Seo Joon moving to live…
Just to add some things ...

about 1) That scene in Ep 1 or 2 (don't remember) when Seo Joon hit his pillow and was crying becasue of the break up - that was also great. Very good acting. Very emotional.

about 3) Wasn't he clenching his teeth in his sleep? Not sure about it. But Ji Woo was complaining about that earlier, and I though it was a nice detail. It shows how much thought goes into the series.

A quick glance at the comments section seems to indicate that this is a minority opinion, but To My Star 2 is…
Yeah, look at the mess of We Best Love, where they changed the characters, put them in a different setting and gave us a half-assed reason for their break-up that made no sense. The writers even knew it made no sense, so they tried to make everything more mysterious by telling the story backwards. Or the Pete&Kao triology where they changed Kao's personality in every season. Not to forget Together With Me where they just introduced a cheating plot for the sake of it. Or Love By Chance, the Tin&Can special, where they had not enough ideas so they just retold the whole story. Sigh.

This must be the first season 2 that really plays out well. They didn't change the characters, they introduced new ones but also kept some of the old ones, the dynamics between all of them are the same. The flashbacks were a bit tiring, but now the story is moving forward. This is Korean storytelling at its best. It's about real people, real issues, real life. It just happens that the main leads are two guys.

Sadly, the series only gets worse. I waited to see if these next two episodes would turn things around but alas,…
Okay, it's a while since I wrote a longer comment on this site. I was too tired yesterday.
So let's see ...
First of all, I have no problem with you not liking it. "Time will tell". Yeah. It can go downhill in the future. Who knows? I'm just baffled that you don't get the emotional deepness the series provided until now.

First, the girl. She is a cutie and the child actress is incredible. But there is no father, and the mother is constantlty busy. Why else is the girl always hanging around Ji Woo? Calling him dad? The mother promised her to do her braids, to pick her up from school. The girl was happy and excited. Then the cocky star came and mocked her hair that was looking horrible because she had to do it herself. She just wanted attention for once. That people looked for her, cared for her. And when they found her, how she cried, she knew it was wrong. She was just hurt. My little niece went through a similar phases when her brothers were born, because she felt neglected.

Talking about Ji Woo and his "coldness". He was EXACTLY like that in season 1. I was surprised people complaining aobut it after the first two episodes aired. When KSJ confronted him about the break up, he said something like "I didn't do anything wrong to you". There was a very similar scene in season 1, where he also confronted him and tried to get through him. The character didn't change. Maybe people expected him to change because they were a couple for awhile. He is the kind of character that people like to misjudge, because he acts cold on the outside, but is a good guy on the inside. In season 1 we saw that he didn't sell out any information. He was protective toward KSJ. In this season we see how he cares for the girl. He sure cares for KSJ too. He most likely thinks breaking up was the best decision for both of them. I still hope there is more about it. But maybe Ji Woo just felt this cannot work out, and wanted to end it, before both of them are too invested. That reason would fit the characters well. It's still better than what we got in We Best Love.

The girlfriend: I also was disappointed, because this is an overused troupe. But they really managed to make it interesting. That show-off between the exes was hilarious. KSJ was again very honest. His jalousy was showing. The girl was sassy too. The whole scene was so extra, it made me chuckle.

The kiss made perfect sense. Again, like in season 1, it takes time until Ji Woo's wall breaks. It just happend faster in season 1, because the episodes were shorter. I thought the timing was perfect. Ji Woo saw how devastated KSJ was about the girl gone missing. Seeing KSJ being so out of it, was really heart braking. He thought it was his fault. And in fact it was. Maybe if he didn't mock her, maybe if he didn't give that autograph and paid attention to her, it wouldn't had happen. Imagine that burden! I felt for him too. It's hard to ignore that honesty and kindness. They are both deep down good guys, and that's why they are a good match, if they finally manage to make it work.

Enough said. Just my 2 cents. Sure, it can go downhill any time. But until now they did a great job.

The kiss was so out of the blue....I thought I had missed some dialogues...like even while searching HJW looks…
It's his character. He never shows emotions. KSJ was even calling him out on that seconds before the kiss. The timing was perfect. It's obvious HJW has still feelings for him. I hope this season ends with HJW being more open, more honest. He must break out of his shell.
The KSJ character ... as a viewer you feel so much for him. He has such a good heart, he really is honest about everything, and then he gets hurt so much without understanding why and without being his fault. This is really harsh. It pulls on your heart strings.

HJW may have his reasons for leaving him (I hope so!). Despite that those characters fit each other well. They say opposites attract each other. In this case it's really true.

I remember watching Lee Seung Gi in My Girlfriend is a Gumiho over 10 years ago. I instantly thought that guy has incredible charisma, but not a typical "Korean actor face". I was impressed back then that he didn't do any plastic surgery like so many others. Tells you a lot about his character. He even once commented on his face not being "typical" for the business. Now look at him a decade later: He is getting more and more handsome. Who would ever think this guy is not attractive? And his acting skills? No comment needed. I can't express how much I love him. I just hope the new project is interesting. I adore his acting, his charisma, but a bad script is a no for me.
