he looks great with the lighter brown hair (The Uncanny Counter/Shark: The Beginning) and his acting is seriously phenomenal... actor Wi Ha Joon said Won Chang's charm is that he is the nicest person you will ever meet but when he's acting, he can become crazy/scary so quickly.
pretty sure it was never announced... it was only ever rumoured...
yeah, their marriage was rumoured again last month. it's happened a few times over the years and it might be true but it's worth noting that GXT's dad suggested that LH and GXT are not yet married.
i'd love to see him in a more villainous role... how he acts out jealousy in My Forever Sunshine is so manipulative at times and, frankly, he sells it well haha
you have no idea how much flack people were getting for posting comments with the same sentiments while this was…
right???? haha i think some people don't mind because it's a tv series, others think it's fine even in real life and others again simply don't want to have to question the morality of what they're watching.
the way i see it, there are ways to include questionable things tactfully, and usually that means there needs to be conflict on how people view what is happening and it needs to be portrayed in a nuanced manner. re this show, with such an age gap where one partner is a minor, it could have been better if there was more questioning/wariness from the other characters.
but even then, yeah, it's weird that some people couldn't accept that others still felt a bit uncomfortable about the relationship :<
i love his acting! and he seems like such a free spirit in real life π₯Ί whenever i see him dance, i can't help but feel he would be perfect as the main character in an indie movie π€
honestly not super sure of his acting (if only because he hasn't been in much yet) but his eyes are so expressive, his smile so pretty and don't even get me started on his singing π₯Ί
coz people have become matured..and arent into cliche romcoms anymore
I haven't watched it but I think dramas where many of the main characters are more introverted and legitimately struggling with their own existence are quite rare, so already it will attract a certain demographic of people. It could be that people are rating it high with this in mind - for example, I might think a show is just okay overall but within its genre, it is really quite good. But it could just be that some people relate to the show on a deeper level (I've watched a few snippets and have a feeling that this will be the case for me).
There are a few suggesting that the dialogue isn't always very deep but I also think that, in real life, conversations are not often very deep. Sometimes even more so when you are depressed because it is tiring. And you don't always have an obvious reason for struggling, so it can be difficult for others to support you as well as difficult to help yourself.
Given it's a slowburn drama with a more gloomy feel and, again, introverted characters, it is also easy for it to be polarising. It reminds me of Do You Like Brahms? where many viewers said they finally felt they could relate to the tangible 'awkwardness' between main characters, who were more introverted, where others said they really couldn't understand the interactions.
Why do you assume the reason why he's married because she's pregnant? Solely based on paparazzi video? That's…
Exactly! And not only that but "getting married fast"... do we even know when they started dating? It could be that they've been together for years. And even if it truly hasn't been long, everyone is free to make whatever choices they feel are best for them/their family.
Seungcheon is such an asshole. Money really makes people ugly. The way he called helping out his parents a ββsocial…
I think it's a more realistic response. If you grow up without much money and suddenly come into fortune - whether you win the lottery or, in the case of Golden Spoon, it's something less explainable - it's easy not to conduct yourself according to the struggles you faced (and to show kindness to those in the position you were in) but instead to live how other people who were born into similar fortune have always been able to live, to do what they have always been able to afford to get away with, etc.
I think this would be compounded by knowing that the wealth you have might leave you shortly; you try to get every benefit out of it that you can, and wealth doesn't just bring financial benefits such as being able to live without worrying about being able to afford food, shelter, etc. but social benefits (being treated well, being able to break rules or laws and not face consequences, being idolised, being respected, etc.).
when jinseok offered seungcheon his shoes, i really hoped it wasn't going where i thought it was going. not even 10 minutes in and i'm sad... so far it feels like the combination of a quality plot, good writing and believable acting will really make this a very emotional watch. i am buckling in. and bringing tissues π₯
I'm not sure here because I haven't started watching the show but in general, I think mentioning that it seems…
Of course you're entitled to your own opinion but you ALSO chose to respond to my comment, yet you acted as if I said things that I did not. I understand my own comment (after all... I obviously wrote it) but it seems you have misunderstood.
There IS evidence that shows plastic surgery can impact your expression range, and a reduced range of expression can impact acting. That is the reality of the situation. That isn't something that is an opinion but something that is fact.
I also said that range of expression CAN be impacted by plastic surgery, not that it always is; it is a risk with plastic surgery, whether you are an actor or not. Actors are not immune to this risk by virtue of... being actors.
Not only that but consider your analogy; you chose to compare plastic surgery with taking illegal, performance-enhancing drugs - that is, you have gone out of your way to compare plastic surgery with something that is inherently negative. Not me. I am not the one viewing plastic surgery negatively here, you are.
Do I think people should have to "own up" to plastic surgery? No. Do I think it is good that some choose to? Yes. There are many actors who admit to plastic surgery and I think it's better than having impressionable people comparing themselves without knowing. After all, if someone has had plastic surgery, it is THEIR choice. But on the other hand, YOU are deciding that it needs to be kept quiet when PMY has already spoken publicly. The reason there is such a negative view of plastic surgery is because people like you take offence whenever it is mentioned and want to keep it hidden and private even when the people who have chosen to have it do not share that view.
She didn't "earn" anything. She played the role, and all roles come to an end whether at some point during the series or, if not, by the end with the conclusion of the show. Just because you like her, it doesn't mean the script should be changed. Watch her in something else. And again, you have NO proof that JSM did not know this would happen.
Hell, JSM hardly would even count as a false protagonist because, as you said, she was in 2/3 of the series. In fact, given that they're separating it into seasons, she was a main character of season 1 which nullifies your point anyway.
Ah, yeah? Do you think JSM should get paid for episodes she is not in? That's not how it works. That's like saying "I worked three days this week but I deserve to be paid for the whole week because my other colleagues worked the whole week".
Also, you're the one calling JSM a supporting actress. She's not. She fulfilled her role, which was a main role. And if it WAS a supporting role... do you think JSM is above supporting roles? If there were no supporting roles, how boring would every series be? Supporting roles are important and JSM must agree given she herself accepted as supporting role this year in Project Wolf Hunting.
At the end of the day, these actors are not LOSING payment. They're being paid for exactly what they've worked. The only way they'd have lost payment is if they worked as many hours as the other actors but weren't paid for the same. JSM didn't "give way" to a "nobody"; she played her entire role. Her role is finished.
I'm not sure here because I haven't started watching the show but in general, I think mentioning that it seems…
No offence but your comment is... really quite shit. I never suggested plastic surgery was bad nor that anyone needs approval - lest of all from me - to opt for it. I don't need you throwing celebrities committing suicide at me as if my initial comment was disparaging.
If you're an athlete and you reduce your training which in turn impacts your performance, people will comment on it. But if you're an athlete and you have plastic surgery, chances are it won't impact your performance so it wouldn't make sense for people to comment on it. But the reality is that if you are an actor and you have plastic surgery, it very legitimately may impact your performance.
At the end of the day, actors only survive as actors because of the audience... so it's unrealistic to say that something which impacts an actor's performance or an audience's engagement should be ignored by the audience.
