I love how we not only all watch the same shows, but all think the same things! Because I also thought of Hira at this part of "Naked Diner." When the boys were supposed to go the zoo in "At Our Dining Table" I thought of "Old Fashioned Cupcake." We're a small, weird group out here in BL-land, but we all watch the same things, which I love.

I think they should've stuck with the dead brother as a central conflict together with ex girlfriend, which is what they had in the first 2 eps. But then they kept piling up problems. So ultimately we got the dead brother, ex girlfriend, drowning, disciplinary hearing and break-up. That's 5 conflicts, which is a lot for one BL to carry. So it lost its focus.

I also agree with you that they never really told us why Jae Won ghosted Ji Hyun after first kiss and then, suddenly, was on the subway smiling at him. What happened in between to change his mind? I still think they're good actors and have good chemistry, so I'll keep watching, but it's not as great as I thought it would be.

Christ, I just read about another K-idol who killed himself yesterday. That's the 2nd K idol to kill themselves in one mere week! They are clearly not getting the mental health treatment they need.

Yep, I only learned about K-pop 2 years ago and already I hear about these kids killing themselves at a rate of once a month. A 26 yr old Korean actress killed herself less than a week ago. The agencies try to shush it up, but they are not fooling anyone. They pluck these kids from their homes young, isolate them at dorms, and then work them to death. Given that it's Korea, we also know that they ignore the signs of deteriorating mental health. The agencies need to be held accountable. It all makes me worry about Yoo Ah In because they're torturing him in the press right now and ignoring his need for addiction and mental health treatment.

You and I are around the same age, though I am older at 55. I also suffer from bipolar and take meds. I don't use mental illness as an excuse to be cold and uncaring to people either, as Jae Won has done and many here are excusing based on his trauma. I find that most people won't let me get away with that kind of crap. They tell me to take my meds and to be responsible for my mental health. I find that as I get older people are less willing to make excuses for me.

I grant you that it lacks the hunger of Hira in MBM or the yearning of Togawa in OFC, but it feels steady and well paced. It's almost as if it's just a nice show, about nice people. Blueming also was about nice guys, but they had a lot more heat. I don't expect these two guys to get it on. I also think that little boy is yummy, freaking cute . I want to reach through my screen and hug and kiss him every time! He has a twin, so we are likely seeing both acting cuz child labor laws prohibit one from having too many hours a day.

Yes, the quality has been good, and it's been steady for 3 eps. I have been disappointed in 4 Korean BL's in a row this month that began well and fizzled out by the 3rd ep. But the Japanese keep them short, tight and focused. They fail occasionally too, but far less often than the K-BLs, V-BL's, T-BL's and Th-BL's. Well, I think all Th-BL's are bad. Thailand makes the most as well as the worst BL's.

I did not know that about her dad profiting off her. That rather changes things. And why did the palace ask the media to go after her? This could account for why Americans don't like her. We hear negative things based on the media going after her. I wonder why the royal family dislikes her.

Poor Charlie. I thought he'd never be King. And I bet he dies young too and won't even have long to enjoy it. Indeed, I have heard people saying they wanted him to pass the crown onto William. So mean! The poor guy can't help that he's a sap. And I rather liked that he was devoted to Camilla all those years. Sure, he cheated, but he really had no choice but to marry Diana. Those marriages are forced. But William's marriage looks good. She has no royal blood and it was not forced. And people like Kate, as opposed to that awful American Harry married. She makes all we Americans look bad.

Well, when it comes to Thai BL's I often also dislike them. They churn out too many (over 50 a year), such that it feels like a factory. I did like Moonlight Chicken. Also, ITSAY. But ITSAY was from a different studio than the GMMA produced BL's so that was a higher quality. But that studio is now defunct and all of Thailand's BL's come from GMMA which means, yes, cheesy.

Who else thought of Togawa and Nozue's planned trip to the zoo when the brothers invited Yutaka to the zoo in ep 3? And just like Togawa and Nozue, we didn't get to see the actual zoo trip. I want to see some BL boys at the zoo! lol

Ah, ok, the angry inch. I've also heard that title as "Hedwig and the Angry Nail," but that must be a misnomer, because "angry inch" makes more sense.

I'm not the only one. I read about a dozen others saying it unraveled after ep 2. Then I got about a dozen likes on my comments. Most people will hit like but not comment publicly cuz they are afraid of being attacked. People even reported one guy who disliked the show and had his account closed. Hell, you came at me just now and I didn't even trash it. I merely said that girl pisses me off, which is what, um, EVERYONE has been saying. Moreover, I have said before that the show was good, with good actors and great chemistry, but that the plot chose too many conflicts (dead brother, drowning, break up, disciplinary hearing), instead of focusing on the first conflict, which was the dead brother. It's a legit criticism and I stand by it.

Yes, I not only dislike the bitchy girlfriend trope, but hate how it signifies the worse trope of "I'm really straight, but just gay for you." What the hell is wrong with being truly gay? When they backtrack on being gay, then they are backtracking on the fundamental aspect that drives BL's to begin with.

I just posted to ask if somebody reported him cuz I am really intrigued that he would block you and me when we are the ONLY ones who ever found him funny. People even recognize him from BL posts because he's insulted so many people. Then again, he's so sensitive to insults that I can see him misreading messages and blocking us himself. So I am curious.
