i am puzzled, in 'episode guide' all episodes already have ratings until the end of the drama. Are there other platforms where this drama has been fully aired. The ratings keep dropping, how is this possible. I have just watched episode 13, and there are suppose to be 36 episodes. can someone please advise me.
explain how it's pathetic and how the reviews are bad. I'm all for criticism and improvement of my writing 👍🏻But…
The holes in the plot, of which there are many. CZ is not a grey character, but a person of NO morals at all. He will do what he wants, sacrifice anyone, to get what he wants. His speech is good, but his heart is black. No redeeming features at all. But the story was not suppose to be about CZ it was suppose to be the Female Generals story which has been taken over by the CZ story from before the half way mark. Much in the novel has been radically changed and even the ending is not about the female general but rather CZ and his wants and needs. then we get a throw-in of a battle and a wedding in the last episode. I won't even review it this time, Out of respect for the actors. I would have rated it at around 8 given that this is MDL however the second half was in la la land. so i would now rate it 7.
Well i did finish it despite my anger with the director and script writers going way off into lala land, but the final battle was great. I really feel that the story was spoilt by episodes 33 to 35, it has unnecessarily forced a ridiculous final twist, though episode 36 did redeem some of the mistakes with an excellent final battle. even so i will have to reduce my rating from a 9 to 7.5/8 due to the stupidity of the director and writer. Nothing to do with the actors who where terrific throughout.
Big sigh was it really necessary to drag out the last few episodes with such a tropey "2nd male lead goes…
agreed, i am so angry that they have used such a lousy story line, I am minded to give it a lousy review, however that would reflect on the actors who have done a terrific job. I want my anger to land squarely on the director and writer. But we all knew that something like this was coming did't we. how wasteful asking talented people to follow such a lame storey line.
there have been notable female generals in Chinese History. It is not hard to find them. Qin Liangyu. So it is…
fair enough, though i have to ask, if there are other talented actresses out there why didn't they choose one of those. She was cast in this part and there must have been a reason. I thought she was great in the action scenes.

you post reads "a woman can be a leader or a general. She Can't" that to me reads that you do not believe a woman can be a leader or a general. Perhaps i am mistaken. Ah get it now you're talking about the actress, I think she is ok. I understand that you preferred the actress in The Legend of Shen Li. who was also the executive producer. your looking at a more seasoned actress and asking a relatively newbie to have equivalent skills. Its not going to happen. I think it will be interesting to see how she developes with more experience.
dropped at ep17, waste of timethe score is 8.8, when you see something like this it means you're gonna see a masterpiece,…
there have been notable female generals in Chinese History. It is not hard to find them. Qin Liangyu. So it is possible. I can agree with you on the rating, but that is a matter of choice for the individual viewer, I preferred TPOB, but that doesn't mean i am not enjoying this, I am.
are we getting another 2 episodes tomorrow. I agree waiting is painful, however, as with TPOB i don't want this to end. i guess i will just rewatch it again. silly me.
What she got is a title... Actually it was just an empty title with some military perks...Her military rank wasn't…
i also didn't understand why He Yan didn't take issue with Mr Chu for putting her forward for an award. Given that Xiao Jue was publicly punished. I thought Mr Chu's actions are questionable
for me TPOB is better, however i am enjoying parts of this, i was just rewatching ep 12 how do you get a silly…
I like the ML and FL in this, i haven't seen them before so i have been pleasantly surprised with their quality of work. In fact i feel as the series has gone on they are becoming better and better, bringing the characters alive. It's very good to watch. The actors can only work with what they are given but they are making it believable using their skills as actors. The fight scenes are great, especially the one in ep 22 where they fight one another. No drama is perfect, but despite the downsides the actors are able to shine through. i am really looking forward to the remaining episodes, i sincerely hope they finish it off well
this is getting better and better, hopefully they can keep this standard up until the end. But only having one episode is a real pain. The battle today was terrific.
As someone who only watches dramas for entertainment, rather than to analyse every detail, I watched and enjoyed to a point this drama, my preference is for the Coroner's Diary. This drama was so different, I thought the actors did pretty well with what they were given. It was like watching the story unfold, but then the actor would explain oddball reasoning for what had occurred. I quite like the ML, i watched him in The Double. I think it is really sad when some reviewer give bad reviews because they have taken a dislike to one of the actors. I mean why bother watching. I saw a review for TPOB that was 1.0 what is the point except to harm an actors reputation. I mean its nonsense.. They are just sad people, i suppose no point in getting upset about it. They devalue themselves rather than the drama when the overwhelming reviews rate the drama much higher. we can't all be wrong.
No! It does not give justice to the drama. I cannot even finish a few eps of CD and CD got better rating. I don’t…
its happened before, TPOB has 1 and 3 and 5 star reviews it was crazy that this site did not do anything about it. I guess its so sad people who seem to thrive on bitterness and disappointment within their lives. ah well it takes all sorts to make the world.
just finished this drama, it is a story that needs to be told. But it isn't just in China that this happens. What i found heartbreaking is how it portrayed the effect on the family left behind as well as the victims. I applaud this hard hitting drama, the actors and crew did a terrific job. many thanks to them all for doing such a brilliant job.
i agree this is overrated, however it is good, but not as good as TPOB in my opinion others may disagree, and…
i agree TPOB is far superior. the actors here are doing a good job with this one however they can only work with what they are given. the fight scenes are very good, but i think the comedy moments don't really work as well.
just reading elsewhere that Zhuo Ye's voice may have been dubbed, if so why didn't they use a less feminine voice, there is a listing for a dubbing actor for her. I am puzzled.
we can't all be wrong.
